Little did I know that it was a corset by Agent Provocateur. Even more surprising was the amazing customer service given by Raven at the store in the Mall at Short Hills. Raven showed this rookie how to deal with corset fitting and wear, then made very smart fashion recommendations to help me maximize use of the piece. I loved my new silhouette. Even better, Raven followed up the next day with even more information. Absolutely, I recommend Raven and Agent Provocateur. Who knew that I HAD to have a corset? I…read moream sorry to say that I had the most unpleasant bra fitting of my life in this shop and I left in tears. Literally when I left and said, I hope you have a nice day, the saleswoman said "I hope you don't!" We were alone in the shop. Who talks like this? Anyway, whatever is in her heart, that's on her. The only reason I can think of her being that angry was my breasts were too big to fit into any bras or swimsuits in her shop. When I'd called the day before to say I needed a fitting, the person I spoke with was so pleasant and cheerful and I could tell she knew her way atriums a tape measure. Sadly that lady was not on duty when I came in the next day! So for those who do not know, the way to fit someone in a bra is NOT to have them try on bras with far-too-small cup sizes in increasing sizes. If you are holding a tape measure please measure my chest as well as my rib cage. And if doing that makes you uncomfortable, please get out of the bra-fitting business. The women that work here are very knowledgeable and helpful. I dealt with Beth and Marian. Marian was the colorist/stylist who cut and colored my wig and it is absolutely beautiful, better than my own hair! Visited Nordstrom at The Short Hills Mall over Christmas week…read more Despite it being a busy week, the store was well stocked, clean, and neat. We had a very positive service experience in the shoe department. The sales associate was helpful and patient, grabbing us a few similar boot options to try, beyond what we asked for. She didn't mind that we put the boots we loved on hold and came back to purchase them before leaving the mall. We made sure that she got credit for the sale. We had a great experience in the mens' denim department as well - the employees were really helpful in explaining the styles and sizing of the various brands. We also purchased a bag in the contemporary section - the sales associate there was actually pushy and salesy, not someone I'd normally want to work with or support, but we needed the gift so made the interaction short and moved on. Overall we enjoyed our shopping experience at Nordstrom, and we'll definitely return when we're in the area. If you don't live near a Nordstrom, they offer free shipping and free returns. And their customer service across stores is almost always top notch.

But after being told that my items were being put on back order twice, I decided to cancel my order. After sending out an email to cancel my order, I assumed I would get a confirmation of stop payment. That didn't happen what I did receive was the bra, over a month later and a charge on my credit card. I contacted the company several times by phone and email to request a return slip, I refused to pay for the shipping to return an item I should have never received. They denied my claim twice. Bra Smyth wants me to pay for the shipping and return cost for this item which they may or may not refund. In the days of great online shops there is no room for this old school business that scams their customers. Visit Bloomingdale's they have the same selection and actually value and reward their customers.
