I went in without knowing exactly what to expect, but the visit turned out to be alright. Check in was quick and simple. I didn't have to fill out too much paperwork which helped keep things moving. The staff was calm and helpful, and one of them explained the general process to me so I knew what would happen next. Inside the office, the doctor was careful and made sure to ask specific questions about my overall health. They took time to go over some past health concerns and followed up with questions that showed they read my records. I also liked that they discussed a few different options with me instead of pushing one way. They had a balanced way of talking, not too pushy and not too vague. After we were done, the assistant gave me notes from the visit which helped me remember everything that was said. I left feeling like I had a good direction and knew what to watch for going forward. read more

Dr. Anderson is absolutely amazing! Both offices are amazing as well. We primarily went to the Hollister location and the staff always went above and beyond. It was great to be able to wait for my daughter in the car during her visits and a staff member would walk her out and update me on how things went and are looking. They even went out of their way one time to leave her extra rubber bands after hours when she ran out. Definitely recommend this practice for orthodontic needs. read more

Dr. Wafelbakker saved my life. I can't express this any other way. After going through 11 years of orthodontic treatment elsewhere, including two full orthognathic surgeries in which both my upper and lower jaw were completely remodeled, and suffering complete relapse after both of them, I had given up hope. I was done, I had resigned myself to suffering because it was better than the alternative (a third procedure). Despite my protests, my mother ended up dragging me to see Dr. Wafelbakker, and I cannot thank both of them enough. In less than two months I was pain free, in 6 my jaw was finally fully functional, and in less than a year the majority of the damage caused by the prior 10 years of orthodontics had been reversed or at the very least treated. I was actually a patient of Dr. Wafelbakker myself in the 1992. I have decided to bring my son to him because he did such a fabulous job on my teeth. My son's teeth were very crooked. Within the first month of treatment there was already a significant change. Both Dr. Anderson and Wafelbakker work on my sons teeth and I am very happy. They are a little more costly than other orthodontists around but trust me, you get what you pay for. Everyone in the office is very kind. As a matter of fact there are a few of the ladies that still work there that worked there when I was being treated by him. That speaks volumes for what kind of doctors they are. I highly recommend these 2 doctors. They are very good at what they do! read more

I was first introduced to Dr. Waffelbakker and Dr. Anderson several years ago after my oldest son was referred to their office by my trusted primary dentist. I was immediately impressed by the friendly service and the highly efficient operation of the office. After a detailed consultation I decided to work with them for my son's treatment. Over the next eighteen months (which ended up being less time than we originally thought it would take) I never had a reason to regret the choice. In addition to the world class treatment and the unfailingly friendly office staff, the crew in this office go out of their way to set up fun activities for the patients including regular gift drawings and even holiday parties. On the treatment side they are incredibly responsive to your needs and will even have someone show up at the office after hours on a moment's notice if there is a problem that just cannot wait. I am now about halfway through the treatment for my second oldest son and if any of my other kids end up needing orthodontic treatment I will not hesitate to work with this office again. My daughter had crowed teeth and an underbite as well as one tooth rather out of place. Imagine that would probably mean removal of teeth and may be even surgery to shorten the lower jaw. Not what I would really want. Dr. Wafelbakker applied a brand new method only done by a few dentists in the US. Yes, it took about four years but no teeth were pulled and the underbite was handled without any surgery. Only the tooth that was out of place in the palate had to be exposed, attached to a chain and pulled into place. Of course that took quite some time but worked out beautifully. I am very happy with the work that was done and my daughter has a beautiful smile. read more

What a rude office! Went there for a 10:15 second opinion/consult appointment and was greeted with the wrong last name!!! Then 20 minutes later the office manager takes me back to sign some stupid papers...for a consult. 10:50 I was told Dr. had an "emergency" appointment and he would be another 8-10 minutes. 11:08 LEFT! I went in for a consultation for some dental work after reading an advertisement about this office. My first impression was that this office could easily have been located in Beverly Hills - and I don't mean that in a good way. The dentist, Dr. Wafflebaker, rushed through a very quick examination of my teeth and I was told to return a week later to go over a "treatment plan". At this second visit, I was told that I was going to be sent to three different dental "specialists" for three different procedures (and possibly surgery) to be done before this dentist even would think about working on my teeth. Again, this was a very rushed appointment and I had no clear understanding what the plan even was- other than it was going to be around $40 thousand dollars ~or so~ for whatever work he was going to do. When I questioned the cost of this dental "work", this dentist was very arrogant and actually insulted me - and promptly walked out of the room. Based on this very unpleasant experience, I find this dentist very unprofessional and I would not recommend this office. The only reason that I clicked on 1 star for this review is that there is no lower rating. P.S. I eventually found an excellent dentist who did wonderful work on my teeth without farming me out to other doctors - for a very reasonable fee. read more

I first came to this establishment for orthodontic work in 2013 and was told the entire procedure should last 6 months. It's now 2018 and countless times I've dealt with broken appliances, lost appointments, poor practice, etc., and that 6 month process has taken 5 years. I had an appointment today to get my braces off that I took time off of work for, but apparently the receptionist "made a mistake" and my appointment is another 3 weeks out, which my own place of work is not happy to hear about.
