He has such a wonderful personality and made you feel welcomed as soon as you sat down. He was very attentive and is quite the salesman. I'd never been in Texas before and didn't know what to expect when we stopped on our way to DC from LA. I had low expectations other than they should have great waffles. As another fellow Californian mentioned, we were surprised that there was smoking allowed in a restaurant! That is so 1970! "Yes 'Mam, I'll have the maple-pecan-nicotine waffle with a side of menthol cheesy eggs and some reduced tar coffee." Jokes aside, the waitress was super nice and the food was tasty. The value was good for what you get. I would give it less stars if it wasn't for the nice waitress and the fact that the waffle guy sounded identical to Mater the Towtruck from Cars. :) I would give it more stars if they would lose the stupid smoking in restaurants and it wasn't so dirty inside. Came in with my family of four. The service and courtesy was outstanding. It was 2 degrees outside and they had it very warm but immediately lowered the temperature when we asked. Our waiter Brandon was great. The food was good breakfast food and what one would from a diner type establishment. Everyone fro children to adults were very happy with their food which was served hot and quickly. Seriously. We had an AMAZING experience at this Waffle House. It was a few days before Christmas during the terrible ice storm. Waffle House was one of the only places open. Of course, it was packed and only had one server and one cook. Mindy (the server) was quick, thorough, and honestly cheerful even though she had a full restaurant. And Freddie (the cook) prepared the BEST omelet I have ever had at a Waffle House. The weather was awful, but these two made for an amazing dining experience. Thank you so much! read more

Food was okay. Went in pretty late and the waitress was super sweet. Made us laugh, and really cared about us. Good all around.

The only reason we stopped here was because it was 11pm and nothing else was open, that's why it gets 3 stars. The food had no taste at all. Everything tasted watered down. Orange juice was more like water with yellow coloring, syrup was super thin and lacking maple flavor. The waitress was stabbing a juice box with a knife so she could pour it into a cup and cut her finger with the knife. She never stopped to put a bandaid on it. Went to waffle house after being at Northwest all day with our sick mother. It was the nastiest place I have ever seen! The service was horrible! The bathroom was absolutely disgusting!! Drank from a togo cup because I was scared to drink from their dishes! We chickened out of eating after seeing how dirty the place was. Very disappointing!! Used to eat here all the time. While I was eating at the counter/bar stool area a roach crawled right up to my plate. I wanted to vomit and die.

If there was an option for zero stars...it would be zero. Don't waste your money here! I love Waffle House, but this one is NASTY! The smell of stale grease and cigarette smoke is almost overwhelming. There were only two other customers in the restaurant, so they were not busy. The restaurant smelled musty and it was raining outside, so the ceiling was leaking, leaving puddles on the floor and booths. We ordered coffee and water to drink but never got our water. We knew exactly what we wanted so we ordered right away. When she delivered our coffee, my coffee cup had lipstick on it and smelled nasty. There was a greasy film floating on the coffee In both of our cups. I could never get our waitresses attention to ask for clean coffee cups. Our food was dropped off by a different server who set it on the table and abruptly left, never even asking if we needed anything or giving us the opportunity to say a word. I had ordered a waffle and hash browns but only got the hash browns. My waffle was left to burn to a crisp in the waffle iron. When the cook returned, he realized my waffle was still in the maker and asked me if I like my waffle crispy. I said no, and he tossed it in the trash. By this time my husband had already finished his dinner, so I told him don't worry about making another one. He shrugged his shoulders said OK, and yelled across the restaurant to our server "that lady don't want her waffle, guess you can take it off her bill". Our server never came over to apologize or ask if I would like something else. Then, when my husband went to pay the bill, she told him she took the waffle off, still with no apology and as if she was doing us a favor. We use to eat at this restaurant regularly, but since the restaurant has been so poorly maintained, the staff is completely incompetent and poorly trained, we will not be back. read more
