Hashbrowns Bowl with sausage $10. Really yummy. And enough for 2 meals.
    Theresa E.

It was cold as usual so I decided to sit in the sun. My friend was ready before I was so the server placed their order and came back for mine. (Patty melt $11) Needless to say they came out at drastically different times. Had to flag the waitress for a coffee refill. Coffee (2.50) The burger was good. And large enough for leftovers. So I boxed it up. I didn't catch my server name. Didn't snap shot the ticket. Not sure when I arrived. Don't know how long it took the kitchen. Heck I was 1/2 way through my meal before I realized I didn't capture images of it. Over all I give myself 2 stars for review focus.

    Some kinda good, son!!

In my years in the Boss City this is the "forgotten" WaHo... my home WaHo is by LA Downs and the Airline Drive location is just right off 2 main thoroughfares so they see more action... This location in the 4-5 times I've been in has never been packed and I've always received quick service and great food... Great WaHo and I've got to remember to hit this one up more often...

Butter Pod they put smack dab in the middle of my waffle!

This Waffle House is usually a great place to eat. This is the first time we have been here since "Covid" and all I can say is it's gone downhill. New crew ... new standards. Very disappointed with service. Mainly that they put the butter pod that had residue from ??? (See Pictures) Right in the middle of my waffle. Forgot to give me my meat I ordered with the All Star Special and

Texas sausage egg & cheese melt with hash-browns and grits.

Super fast service, everything was really clean and the food tasted really good! The staff was really kind and helpful. I haven't been to a Waffle House in a while and was super impressed by this one. If you like diner food, this place has a great diner experience!

Well at least the grits were hot. But they were also very lumpy. The lumps were HUGE, HARD, and PLENTIFUL. Otherwise it was a decent meal.

It's a solid Waffle House, service was good and so was the food. It was my first time going there and I'll most likely be back again.

The food was ok but there were flies in the place which disgusted me to where I couldn't enjoy my meal.

A quick look at Yelp showed Strawn's Eat Shop listed at number one in diners locally. The inside is a mix of old timey and funky with lots of creative murals painted on the walls. We quickly received our drinks and ordered. Our waitress was outstanding but I didn't get her name. Our food was soon there and we dug in. My chicken fried steak was good but the mashed potatoes and cornbread were the stars. I'm not a big fan of salad or green beans but they were pretty good for vegetation. My wife enjoyed her catfish basket. She prefers cornmeal on catfish over flour breading and was pleased with the crispy cornmeal and the generous portion. Now for the main event. Pie! Strawn's is known for their strawberry pie and for good reason. It was the best strawberry pie that I have ever eaten. The whipped cream topping was transcendent and paired perfectly with the strawberries. My photo does not do this pie justice. My wife went with coconut pie and while it was very good the strawberry was the winner. Looking forward to returning to Straw's Eat Shop in the future.

The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

However, after being seated, it took another 25 minutes before anyone came to take our drink orders. When I finally placed my food order, several items came out incorrectly. After asking three times for the issues to be corrected, I eventually gave up. I was still charged for everything I ordered, including the items that were wrong or never properly served. When I brought this to our server's attention, her response was that she could bring the food to me in a takeout box. At that point, I had to ask myself why I was spending my money at a business that clearly did not value me as a customer. This will be my last attempt to support this restaurant. There are too many other places to choose from that offer better food and far better service. The food was mediocre, and the service was unacceptable.
