Had a beautiful Parachute date here around midnight. "Wait what!?" Yes i love these types of dates, i got fancy one coming up i passed the meet n greet lol I used to come to this one a lot when i lived down the street n missed it. My lovely female date recommended this place n i said; "Hell yeah!" I think she was kidding but you can't not joke about waffle house around me cuz i will go with or without you lol We came in n it was almost empty. Got greeted by staff n we picked a table. Not 5 mins in we got also "greeted" by the usual random weirdo u get to meet during midnight visits. Lol bunch of teenage boys trying to figure out if i was a couple with my date, it didn't mattered that i said yes just to choo him away. He kept trying lol he made my date giggle about it. The waitress came by n took our drinks it was our fault for bot ordering. We were lost in each others stories n jokes. The gentleman at the grill said he was taking a break n we both agreed it was fine. We really didn't come to eat and we both understood they needed a nice break. 5 mins on the dot as he said he was back n we ordered. Again it was our faults n we REALLY didn't come for the food only. Lol meet n greets are very important with me, especially when i meet them from the "sandwich app". Lol Meal was done very quick. The waitress was very kind with us. Very attentive n willing to get our refills no drama. Very wholesome experience with the staff. We were very grateful for her patience with us doing our thing. Im pretty sure they enjoyed my stories of my shenanigans to lol i had to take my stuff to go i got full. I ordered the hash browns, bacon n eggs bowl. That thing was massive and freaking delicious! My lovely date went the the breakfast burger, she ate the fuck outa it! No meal pictures, i was hypnotized with my gorgeous date n I didn't want to be disrespectful. I will add one pic of the "secret new Waffle house Sauce!" After i paid n got everything packaged to go. The madam offered to go drinks. Then gave us free samples of the new sauce. It's a spicy packet. I will try tomorrow to properly rate it. They were so happy with our visit n will always recommend this waffle house. Remember kids, the midnight shift always bring random events lol depending which one u go to, it can be "vampires" or funny ones. We got lucky, just a bunch of teenagers being silly. Picked up to go and it was fast and easy to order, person who took the order was very friendly. Food was ready and still hot when I arrived. I ordered the Hashbrown Bowl with cheesey eggs and it was DELICIOUS but I did think it was a bit expensive....with tax right at 10 bucks. I have dined at Waffle House TONS of times over the years and the food is always great in my opinion and service is good just don't expect anything fancy but I personally love Waffle House. read more

It's 5am on May 31st & there are 10 of us hungry & looking to eat quick & relax. 2 friends are moving to Philly in 2 days so we're just trying to spend quality time. As we walked inside, the lady outside informed us that they weren't prepared to handle us. Not sure if she was joking, we entered, as she was farther back away from the door, apparently on a cigarette break (though im not 100% sure if she was smoking). When we walked inside, one woman who was scrubbing the floors looked up as she continued her work & said, "we're not prepared for y'all." Then, another chummed in, "she's just doing the floor, we can handle it," half-heartedly, as she rolled her eyes. After some brief discussion & masterminding, they appeared to want to accommodate us, but by then it was too late. We ultimately, we decided to go to another Waffle House. ..We love Waffle House. Just won't visit this location again. You could've turned our business away politely. Smh. read more

I don't know that I've ever had a bad meal at Waffle House. It's become a tradition on Christmas morning to take the family to WH for breakfast. Loved this Waffle House. We stopped here on our drive home from vacation. Our food was good, it was as cleaner than any other one we've been to (we've been to some pretty terrible ones lol). What made it 5 stars though was our absolutely delightful server. I should have asked her name again before we left because I am terrible with names and don't remember what she told me it was. Anyhow, she was so fun and kind. She was also so engaging with the kids. The other staff was also very polite. Welcomed us and told us goodbye. Food also came out entirely correct and very quickly. Welcoming coming in the door, table was cleaned off for us immediately. I ordered the All Star special and asked for cheese grits. The slice of cheese was layed on top, not stirred in. I asked for eggs with cheese scrambled hard and the eggs were runny on the plate. I asked for a waffle well done and one side was well done and the other was light and not even a bit of brown. I sent it back and the poor waiter was embarrassed and very apologetic. He brought out another waffle and it was lighter than the first one, he then told me that their waffle irons don't always work. Sean the waiter was the best thing about this visit! He was very kind, apologetic and attentive to our table. It's because of him that this got the extra star. This is the Waffle House on Lumsden next to the CVS. I do not recommend!!! read more

This Waffle House location has to the be the best well oiled machine ever. Everytime I go to this Waffle House it's a great experience. I went there about 10:30pm after leaving a party early to grab a quick bite. Four of us ordered and received our food in about 10mins. Very fast and polite service. One week later, I placed a to go order for a Patty Melt Plate, Grits Bowl, & a Double waffle. I was told my order will be ready in 12mins. I made it to the location in 9mins and my food was going into the to go containers. AWESOME!!! read more

I go to Waffle House mainly for the value. This location has good service, and is always clean. The food comes out fast so I can feed my belly and get on with my day. Another good thing about the food coming out fast is the reduction of seating wait times during busy hours. We have always been able to walk in and get a seat. Our experience was amazing until the shift change happened at 9pm. at that point we were introduced to the single most angry and bitter manager or employee I have seen in over 10 years of working in customer service. This was Gladys she did not hesitate to insult the work of her coworkers as well as curse in earshot of customers. We originally believed it was a joke until this behavior did not end until we left over 15 minutes later. Went during the middle of the night kind of, steady flow of people coming in. Very patient and SAM told us to sit at a table (a table that was dirty) THEN WE WERE SITTING THERE 30 mins waiting for him to clean our table. Then we asked another waiter to tell him to clean he comes up and say "I have other people in front of you, be patient" we ignored him Bc we were hungry and were not trying to be confrontational! KATE AND JASMINE FINALLY HELPED US (THANK YOU FOR THEM) Bc if not we probably would've been waiting still to even get asked what we want to drink. ANYWAYS. I ordered all star breakfast and he only brought over the grits and eggs. OKAYYYYYYYY but where is the bacon and waffles "it's still cooking" he says (sam) THEN I was already done w my food still never got my sides and I jus told him to cancel it and then we were sitting there waiting another 25 mins to even get a check and then we finally get up and he finally checks us out. Hands down. BEST Waffle House we've ever been to! We've grown up in the South, so we're pros at Waffle House. I've never seen such great consistency in a Waffle House. The cooks have always checked on us to make sure we love everything. Everyone is amazing here. You can tell there's good team work. We've only had one kinda not-so-good meal there. It wasn't terrible, it was just wasn't the same awesome food we always get. When the cook came over to check on us, we just didn't have the heart to tell this guy. He had just started on the grill, and he was so friendly and so enthusiastic. He looked so hopeful when he asked how everything was, so we told him he was doing great. We've been back since and had the same cook. He's definitely got it down now! Never had a bad experience. Coffee is always fresh, service is always friendly and fast. Bathroom is clean and always stocked. We've never left less than 20% tip. Worth every penny. read more

The breakfast food was the usual good-tasting Waffle House; I order the same thing every time (cheese n' eggs with no meat with raisin bread and grits). However, the floors were a little slippery and a few tables were not clean even though there were a total of 8 people (including the waitstaff and cook). Upon arriving I was greeted with you can't sit there if you are only one, sit at a smaller table. Not exactly welcoming, so hopefully on the next visit they won't treat a one-top table as they are less important than a four-top table. I wanted to sit close to the door since the air conditioner is on full blast and I am now sat shivering in the corner. My server Crystal is great and promptly came to check on me and ask for my drink order and then take my order. After the food arrived she then checked on how everything was. You can't ask for more really. Onto the food, I always order the same thing when I go to Waffle House and they never disappoint. The eggs and hash browns are some of the best around! I also love they are one of the few places around that have apple butter! They need to fix their practice of making a one-top table feeling as though they shouldn't dine in the restaurant and the air conditioner being set on sub-zero everything else is fine. read more
