My business partner and I were out in Riverview this morning with a client and after our meeting decided we wanted breakfast. Much to our happiness we discovered that there was a Keke's just about 3 miles away! Yahoooo! We were seated very quickly by a friendly host and literally 4 min later our lovely server arrived. I wish I had remembered her name but she was fantastic, sweet and attentive. All of the staff were attentive! We ordered pretty standard breakfast fare- a couple of omelets, home fries, cheesy grits, sour dough toast, I had an OJ and coffee and also a ham steak. The food was delicious- I wish that the omelets were fluffy- they are rather flat and I think you really have to try to make an omelet super flat- they need to up their fluffy game. We asked for hot sauce and again, our server was there with three choices! I like Cholula! Yummy! She kept our waters and coffee filled without us ever having to ask! Will never return or recommend. I ordered a very simple breakfast. my bacon and home fries were both undercooked and my eggs were way overcooked. I very politely asked for it to be redone as I have worked in the restaurant business myself. Won't return - First Watch is far better. An average chain restaurant, dated decor, high divides for the booths with pretty delicious food. Service is good. My portabella wrap is fresh and pretty yummy, so is the Turkey club sandwich. Looking at the bill, did I realize that they charge your for the sides. The staff said the normal side for the Turkey was out and asked if we wanted home fries etc. We picked home fries and is being charged for it. What's the hick? The tiny salad isn't good nor necessary - the staff did ask me what side did I want. To me it sounds like part of the meal. So lesson is learned. read more

My ((Sunday, December 11tg @7:30am)) new breakfast eating out reception consisted of the sleepy, stoned, disinterested, "I hate my job", I'm far too special to talk to customers" and on and on and on. I'd have fired her on the spot if I were the MOD but I'm not so I didn't, but I'd have loved to. So after trying to seat me at tables directly at the doors opening after trying to tell her I prefer towards the rear, I sat myself because she wasn't getting it - she got nothing but this part of the review - certainly no disciplinary actions will be taken but I'll not return to find out. I'll add her name upon retrieving my notes. Jenn calmed the mood, she cared about resurrection my mood and dining experience and as a professional would, she did attend to me and my needs as sleeping nonbeauty played with her phone, I'm flabbergasted by her disinterest and gainful employment. If not for Jenn, KeKe gets one star - I'm not going to enjoy my meal as much as I should after that treatment. To the food -- I loved each egg being cooked separately, the thin crispy brown edges holding each precious little egger together in a tasty halo. I've been going sausage but probably should switch to bacon because all breakfast spots here use frozen links and they're just thawed and zapped in the microwave and that really hurt this meal, it really took away value as a few sausage patty badges with some spice would have transcended it to the next level of an excellent breakfast. Saving the links was not only the individual eggs but the thinly sliced yellow potatoes, in terms of balance, another ladle full would have been better, probably precooked but browned up nicely, so that was another error, they dished me out a two egg portion. Having eaten at plenty of Keke's through the years, I found this location the reason why many establishments refuse to allow Gen Z'ers or Millenniums in positions of authority. Going in their with a party of 4 friends for breakfast and as we ordered came to an impasse to confusing for both the waiter and manager on duty. My friends ordered their usual and I ordered mine of the 'Create a Combo' of 1 French toast slice, and 2 sides of bacon, as I'm not someone who eats eggs, grits, hash browns. I've ordered this same item often in several other Keke's without question. The waiter returns and informs I can't order the double bacon because he's unable to add it to the computer, I ask did he speak with the manager who'll usually overrides it or simply enters a default and gives me the bacon. This manager comes over and attempts to explain that they're unable to do this because if it's not in the computer it can't be ordered per Keke's Corporate policy. I informed her that I've ordered this very item often without question, but she tells me she doesn't understand why anyone would do that? This young woman either a Millennial or Gen Z need to understand that regardless of what a computer says or not, the paying customer usually gets their way within reason. I told her managers simply override it with a default item and orders the replacement directly. Either she's unable to do this or isn't interested in learning how to work 'Outside the Box' for customers. I know I'll go to another Keke's next weekend and tell this story to the manager who'll look at me in disbelief and question why/how this young woman is the manager, as he's handing me my double bacon and French toast. read more

I first reviewed this place in 2018 when it first opened. We have since continued to come to this place a few other times. I must say, my wife really likes it here. Place is located in a shopping center, so there are plenty of parking around the restaurant. Restaurant is kept cleaned and the staff is super friendly and professional. Prices have gone up considerably since I first reviewed it. On the weekends, the place gets packed, so you might end up waiting to be seated and once seated, you could end up waiting additional time you're your food, do to how many people are in the restaurant. Portions they serve is plenty, it should fill you up. If you order the pancakes, they will fill you up, they are huges. I had the sausage omelet, which was pretty good. My family was also happy and satisfied with their food and portions. I have read some reviews about the place décor being outdated, and one could argue about it, but this place is a "chain restaurant" so they must keep décor all the same, I am more about cleanliness and upkeep. I do recommend this place, and as I previously stated, my wife does like it here, so we will continue to enjoy this place. read more

Nice little breakfast spot. Stopped by here with my friend after flying into Tamp. It was a really nice place. Our server was Naomi and she was amazing. Loved her personality, so sweet and funny. Our food was really good. There weren't a lot of vegan options but you can modify if needed. I tried the Garden burger which was very good! It was nice and seasoned with a lot of flavor. I also got the onion rings which were perfection. I love a good onion ring. My friend came here before and she said the breakfast was really good. Today was my first experience at KeKe's in Riverview. My friend and I walked in and were greeted immediately with a smile by a friendly young man and escorted to a table right away. The vibe was chill and relaxing. Table was clean. Always a good start. Now for the best part. Christan was our server. What an incredible personality she had. Polite, radiant, and a beautiful young lady. Not being creepy, just an honest opinion LOL. Had the eggs Benedict which were some of the best I have had. Perfectly poached (a little runny with the yoke just cooked), English muffin warm as well as the Canadian bacon. To say we love Keke's is an understatement. Today I ordered breakfast (I do frequently) for my elderly parents from my home in NY. Today they did not put Hollandaise Sauce on the Eggs Benedict... just dry. Door Dash delivered quickly and friendly. When my Mom contacted them their solution was to give her free Grits next time we order. She hates Grits. To say we are disappointed in the customer service is a gross understatement. It's such a wonderful little cafe! The lighting is nice and inviting, the temperature is great, and there's plenty of seating with beautiful decorations. Everything is made with lots of care and tastes delicious. My favorite ate the sweet corn arepas with cheese and the pandebono. Their drinks are also great! It's not too sweet but not too bitter. Order a hot chocolate, a vanilla frappe, or just a cafe con leche, no matter what you choose, you'll never go wrong. Everything is priced fairly. The staff are also very kind and will help when you need clarification on items or to help suggest something for you if you're having trouble choosing. Do be mindful that it can get busy, and parking can be a little difficult at times, but that's the only negative thing I could say. Cali Cafe has become one of my newest favorite spots! There were a lot of people waiting for pick up orders when I arrived but the staff was very courteous as we all waited. There is plenty of lot parking in the front and back of the complex. I went to Keke's in Riverview after going to my builders meeting. Tensions were high and I was hangry so this seemed like the logical place to stop. It was a Friday morning around 9am and there was a wait. The staff seemed to have a good handle on the flow of traffic and we were sat after about a 10 minute wait. I think our server was the manager. It was a guy in a white button up shirt who didn't need to write a detail down (I used to be a server and I have never been that person, what a memory!) He didn't miss a thing! His service was friendly and quick. He even refilled my coffee for me. They have flavored creamers if that's your jam. It's definitely mine. I got an apple cinnamon waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon. My husband got a ham and cheese omelette with my favorite breakfast potatoes and white toast because he's weird. He is dead wrong as I've stated in multiple reviews because he didn't like the potatoes but his judgement is not to be trusted because you guys, these potatoes are where it's at! My waffle was basically like eating a gigantic dessert for breakfast. My bacon was also incredible. I only eat pork like once or twice a year and it's always bacon. This bacon was cooked to absolute perfection and I loved it. I might come back and grab some more soon, because I'm about to live right down the road!
