I got lucky again with there being an out of business gas station next door for me to park my truck and camper trailer. At 4:30 am you need to watch your step as they mop floors then. I ordered my usual two eggs medium, hash browns scattered with extra onions, two sausage patties and white toast with strawberry jelly. All of the food was good. Service was great. You know how all Waffle Houses are good but some are better than others and some are just downright 5 star Waffle Houses? This one is 5star awesome! My eggs were a perfect over-medium. It's so rare. I asked for extra crispy hash browns. All delivered! Asked for pecans in my waffle... sometimes I get a scant amount but I got a loaded pecan waffle this time. While my food was absolute perfect, so was the service! Everyone in there polite, smiley, happy, efficient, kind. Marina our waitress was an absolute doll. Even one of the cooks was checking on peoples food when he wasn't busy. Also a very clean Waffle House. This Waffle House was walking distance from the Baymont hotel we were staying at. The staff were super friendly and quick to serve us. We got a table right away. The waitress brought us hot coffee and kept refilling our cups throughout our meal. Waffle House coffee is very strong and will make your head buzz if you drink too much. Haha We both ordered our favorite, Cheesy eggs with raisin toast. I got aside of grits with mine and hubby got bacon and hash browns with his. I don't know how they make those eggs taste so good but they were amazing. I always put the Apple butter on my grits when I eat them. Hubby always puts the Apple butter on his raisin toast. Just had one of the best experiences in a Waffle House I've ever had. As usual, breakfast was great. But unlike a lot of other Waffle House's, this place was IMMACULATE. And I think our server, Chica had a lot to do with that. When she wasn't with customers, she was cleaning windows, wiping counters, & cleaning everything. And that was in addition to being an amazing server. Super friendly and never had to ask for anything, she was there with a drink refill before I realized I even needed one. I had never been to a Waffle House before and wanted to try it. It was ok but a limited menu b Wes use of the pandemic. They had a kids menu of 2 options and my daughter did get a waffle with sausage. I ordered hash browns with Philly steak, onions and cheese. It was good except I didn't see any onions and had to ask for them with extra cheese. The server was not great as she forgot who ordered what with only 3 tables she was serving and took our food to the wrong table! I tried my daughters waffle and it was good and had a sweet flavor to it and definitely should have had one. Maybe I will next time for breakfast! read more

Place is a total joke of a store. I waited over 5 minutes and didnt even get a hello or a water. I was only person waiting to order. Looks like they were more worried about eating and drinking themselves and their friends but not a disabled veteran that was hungry. This store needs some new(skinny and work fast) people. Every time that I have been here, the waiters and waitresses have been very friendly and helpful. Also, I love that just like any Waffle House, they serve breakfast all day long to ail my cravings. Unlike most restaurants, the food comes out one item at a time to ensure that everything is as fresh as possible. Despite the location being somewhat outdated and occasionally unclean, the food is always the best part, just as it should be at any restaurant. Dear Waffle house, This was literally the worst experience I've had in a restaurant. It even made me create a Yelp to review it. Disappointed in the service the waitress gave the food in an untimely manner. The persons sitting behind us got their food before we even got our water. Note: they were seated 10 minutes later than us. The food was given to us in a haphazard manner practically thrown at us. With a statement of "this is hot" and nails which touched the food. Not only was are food touched with nails, but one of our waffles had a hair in it. Disgusting. I give 3 stars but I had 5 star service and food. I'll get to the reason for the 3 stars later. My wife & I along with my 3 nieces aged 5-11 came in on a Sunday morning. We had a bit of a wait & were seated at a booth to the right of the high top. We order and not one of us had standard orders. We all had multiple add-ons & modifications. I apologized for being a pain, but when the food came our waitress, Julie nailed it. I was kind of surprised. She was excellent. I don't know what she supposedly did wrong, but at one point Julie's manager pulled her in the back & gave her a talking-to (which we could hear from our table), but in our opinion she was doing an excellent job. That's one reason I remember her name and wanted to give this review. I can't say if the berating was warranted or not, but the restaurant lost 2 stars because it was audible from our seat, which was obviously unprofessional, and she was visibly upset when she returned to continue to serve us (which she continued to do well). I don't come for the quality of ingredients but for quick service, crispy bacon, and being entertained by the cooks and waitresses shouting out orders! Came this morning 'cause I NEEDED a waffle and don't know of any place else in Clarksville. I brought my own REAL butter and REAL maple syrup to top my waffle. The bacon was beautifully crisp, long and straight! I say at the counter as it was crowded and lots of folks were waiting for a table. So I had a ring side seat for the entertainment. I am always amazed at how quickly everything is prepared and that no one gets hurt or runs into anyone. The area that the cooks and waitresses work is probably 3 ft wide at best. There is cooking, dishwashing, greeting customers and taking orders and then cashing out in this small space in front of all customers. Most of the staff is cordial, offering pleasantries, smiles, and providing service to their customers. This is a place for people on the move who want quick service, non-gourmet or organic food at a reasonable price. My mother in law flew in from California and couldn't wait to have her hands on some waffle house as they don't have it where she lives. We went to this location as there was 3 adults and 3 kids and knew the seating doesn't typically accommodate larger groups but this one shouldn't be as crowded as our typical location. We had a trainee named Michelle and where do I even begin. She kept forgetting the basic stuff, like straws, syrup etc. I over looked that, however when her and the cook walked outside and my mil was still missing her sausage and one of my kids their meal, I got mad. CUSTOMERS COME FIRST! We spent 50 dollars and it was a waste. I had to remind her to put the chili on my has browns like I ordered, I had to ask her for a refill as she didn't ask us once if we needed any. I had to bust the table myself basically just to have room to eat. When her and the cook went outside I reached over the counter and grabbed the syrup. I wouldn't be as ticked off if it wasn't for the fact that she had time to play the juke box, time to dance, time to go outside and time to sit her behind down and eat herself. Then her and the cook (larger white male with longer hair) started talking about how they like easy orders, like 1 item or when someone orders just coffee. Cool I'm glad that's what you prefer because we wont be back to this location. A bunch of kids that don't want to work, somehow ended up messing up the easiest food to make. We waited 30 minutes just to get a table and when we did, we waited another 30 just for our waitress to get to our table.
