The waitress couldn't find the towels and cleaning supplies so we informed her not to mind we would go somewhere else. On a trip recently, I ate here 3 days in a row. The food was perfectly cooked-- great bacon and eggs. The workers are so friendly. This place is run like a well-oiled machine. They do an amazing amount of business, but yet they never lose their cheerful attitude. The whole vibe in there was super uplifting. And it was fun watching the cook flipping omelets. why is this place so awful? I placed an online order to go for my fiancée and I before we needed to go to our jobs ourselves. I arrived when it said it was supposed to be done, yet they never even started on my order (which was only 2 items by the way) I had to ask them to make my order. I get it's not busy, but it's the AM right before people are going to be coming in and placing orders. it also reeked of marijuana. not against smoking, but in a workplace? really? around food? I'm calling corporate later today because this is absurd. whenever trained these employees did a shit job and need to go back and learn how to actually train someone. not cool. I will be ordering from a different Waffle House as the one in Forney made my experiences awful. read more

I recently went to this Waffle House. The waitresses sat at a table in the restaurant on their phones texting and making calls for each other instead of doing their actual job. Someone came in and had ordered a to-go order and I saw the order print out, yet she flat out lied to the guy saying it had just printed (15 min after he placed the actual order) and said he'd have to wait another 15 min. You should force them to get off their phones and actually do their jobs or fire their asses. read more

We mainly go in the mornings. Food is great as well as the service. Have gone in during dinner hour and there is hardly ever anyone in the place. Yet the service is awful. Poor customer service and orders are incomplete. They forgot half of the items in my order so had to return to location.

Called to place a to-go order, the automated message said to place a to-go order, you have to go into the restaurant. So I went in. It took 30 minutes from the time I paid, to the time my order was actually started. Then 20 more minutes to get my order. That's fine, it happens. (Meanwhile, the restaurant was not full or even at 1/2 capacity). But then every item in my order was wrong. I also got things that I did not order. I threw it away when I got home. The kid working to-go orders literally knew nothing about what he was doing. Ridiculous. read more

We were looking to eat late in the night and we found this little place and has limited seating. We weren't sure how the food would be but we were very pleased to be served with friendly staff in a cozy atmosphere. It brought out nostalgic atmosphere with one of the original setting. This Waffle House is the worst. Service is never great, usually rude or just ignore you. Food isn't very good either. Undercooked waffles, overcooked hash browns and bacon. And to boot, no dine in service, to go only. The state of Texas is open, most people have been vaccinated, at least those who are going to be. There are no outbreaks and the numbers are plummeting. My first time ever visiting a Waffle House yesterday and I'm glad i finally did. The 2 Egg Breakfast with biscuits and hash browns was a great deal at less than $4 and just as good as anything you get at a Dennys or Ihop for 2 times as much. A friend and I split the pecan waffle and it was delish. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often making sure we had everything we needed. If you happen to be single or eating alone, don't bother. I've eaten here twice and it has been surprisingly good. Today I walk in and there are only 3 diners. The booths now say "Booths for 2 or more only". They would only seat me at the counter. I left. Honestly, more employees than diners and I can't sit in a booth when it is not busy? We had the worst breakfast here a couple weeks ago. We went at lunch and we were the only ones there. The young man helping us was friendly and we had good service from him. That's why 2 stars. But the food was bad. We ordered 3 allstar breakfasts. None of the eggs were fully cooked. You could move the raw egg white with your fork. The bacon was burnt, the grits were terrible, and the gravy was on the cold side of Luke warm. The older lady that was cooking was complaining about not getting days off like the youngers staff does and they were both talking badly about other coworkers. They're usually friendly for the most part.. 1st encounter there was a new girl and she kept touching her hat and hair..the cook/manager had to continue to tell her to wash her hands. 2nd encounter i got hung up on while ordering i literally heard the phone slam. Yesterday, I completed the Waffle House challenge at this location. The staff and service was great. I informed them what was going on, and they accommodated me and my friends throughout day. After eating 12 waffles, 2 sides of bacon, and one coffee, my bill was less than $50. Thanks again!!! read more

Despite the reputation of Waffle House this new location is very good. My favorite items are the All Star breakfast, coffee and the best ice tea in Forney. I prefer eating here over the other well known breakfast eateries in town. read more

Waiters are very friendly! The food was very good other than the bacon which was very salty. Overall my experience was pleasing.

Food was good. The staff was very odd. I did go to this waffle house in particular at midnight. When we walked in one of the cooks mentioned that he wouldn't be able to eat his food because he hast to cook our food now. When he began making our food in while it cooks, he stated that he will eat his food while our food cooks. Again, the food was a good 4 stars. So this has really bothered me since the last time we visited on 10/25/2019. We came inn and sat in the booth by the window to the left. We ordered 2 coffees, 2 steak bowls with cheese, added hashbrowns, and added gravy and 1 waffle with chocolate chips. We got a refill on both coffees and then received our bill shortly after. Now we have NEVER paid over $40, well on this night we received our tab for $47 and some change. Yes for 2 people $47 and yes we also gave her a $3 tip. I would LOVE for someone to justify a $47 tab? I would be very careful eating at Waffle House in Forney. I have asked several of my facebook friends to see if I was over exaggerating, but no I'm not. I feel as if we have been taken advantage of and so make sure and take a picture of THEIR tab and save it just in case. We have been in Forney for 13 plus years now and never have had this happen. No this is not the first time we have eaten at this Waffle House. We are not happy with this establishment. So becareful. read more

My family and went numerous time before. Never had a problem except employees being loud and carrying on ( teenagers). But we decided to go in 5-12-17. Steady evening it was around 8 pm. A couple decided to leave guess they didn't want to sit at counter. We were a party of 3. Another family came in also a party of 3. Two booths opened up. But not one employee would go clean them so we all could be seated. Didn't see a manager unless that was her with two other people sitting in a booth talking. None of us was acknowledged. Myself as a manager would of got up acknowledged the situation and went out of my was to make my customers feel happy and want their business. Food was relatively ok - typical Waffle House. No different from most around the country. Waitress didn't know the menu, plopped the coffee creamers down on the table like they were dice. Main reason for one star is that the loud hip hop/new wave music being blared over the ceiling speakers was intrusive to any conversation that customers might want to have and mildly offensive to the tastes of those who don't want to listen to it. brandi and the cook went back and fourth about the specialty omlette i ordered ..made faces as she read my order to the cook and mumbled stuff as well then she brandi.starts telling other waitresses what tables to wait on and the ones she didnt want to wait on.if she is the manager.i feel bad for waffle house.to talk about customers in front of customers .very poor customer service....and the tomatoes were horrible not ripe. read more
