Wowzers. Let me tell yall. A Waffle House that impresses. We are traveling thru Arkansas and we're very hungry with not much in sight. I of course go to yelp for help and see some good reviews for this specific waffle house and was pleasantly surprised with what I read, so of course we decide to check it out. So here we go. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the staff who were super friendly and very nice. We were told to sit anywhere we like and our waitress followed us and took our drink order immediately which I loved. The store was pretty busy. There were a couple tables open but definitely busy. We went to the bathroom and it was actually clean. When I went back to the table the waitress had brought our drinks and came right back to take our order. Our food came promptly and was correct and hot. It's waffle house food so as long as you have that expectation you are good to go. Our waitress was prompt took great care of us and we were back in the road quick. So if you like waffle house and are hongry definitely stop at this one and support this location. read more

Stopped in here for dinner and my food was cooked to perfection just as you would expect at every Waffle House. I was very satisfied with my meal. I ordered my usual Cheeseburger Deluxe with Hash Browns. The cheeseburger tasted awesome. You just can't beat a cheeseburger grilled in onions by a human being that knows what they're doing. I always enjoy the staff conversations about the local conditions. This evening's discussion was entertaining and amusing making for a pleasant ambiance. This restaurant was not too cold inside either like so many of them do. As always, service here was fast, efficient and accurate. read more

When traveling, we always like to stop for breakfast. Today we had the opportunity to stop at the happiest Waffle House in America! We were greeted with cheery "Welcome In!" As we came through the front door. A fantastic soundtrack was playing that had you singing. Desiree was our sweet waitress, perfectly pleasant. Our order came out quicker than we thought humanly possible. Hash browns crispy, bacon crispy, eggs cooked to order, waffle fluffy! Anthony came by to check on us, we were great, but he double checked just to make sure! Customer came in , regulars, called by name, and dancing to their seats, they knew the secret as well. I had a waffle and bacon . Cooked perfectly. My husband had eggs hash browns and a waffle with coffee he said was very good. Nice people working there. We asked if we could bring our small dog in her carrier inside and they were nice to let us. The restaurant was clean and so was the bathrooms. read more

Staying overnight in Forrest City presents the traveler with a less than average selection of restaurants. We eat at the Waffle House frequently enough to know what should be expected and knew that watching our meal be prepared would reduce the risk factors. This location on this night was beyond our typical experience. Simply put; excellent! Staff were engaged with the customers, lots of laughter and friendly banter with their locals and our table. It was so very nice at the Waffle House this am. There's a little bottle neck at the doorway of people coming, some waiting on a table or their orders to go, & check out but once in, it was such an awesome experience seeing how they all were working with each other, getting customers taken care of, with an above and beyond service, and our food was cooked perfectly. My mom and grandmother ate while I sat there. I can't really stand Waffle House, and I had something before we left Little Rock en route to Memphis. My mom and Mummer had waffles and hash browns which they openly expressed that was a good choice for breakfast. Service was shotty. We waited extended periods of time to get refills. She was pleasant, but not over willing to visit us. Now this is where the 1 star comes in... there was hair in the coffee they brought my grandmother. She sent it back, and they got her a different one. Right as we were leaving, a family sitting behind us in the neighboring booth called over the waitress who was serving us, and sent back his food as well. We overheard that there was a hair in his grits and eggs (on the same plate). The health department needs to come give them a thorough inspection because if they're finding hair in the food two consecutive times in a 40 minute period -- I can't imagine what is going on the other 23 hours and 20 minutes of the day! When we walk into a restaurant and they're super busy but acknowledge us when we walk in we're ok with waiting because we understand. Tonight we walked into Waffle House and were greeted immediately and told someone would be with us soon. Perfect. Good and cheap is good...and cheap. I loved this place. Everything was perfectly done, and the breakfast that cost me $15 at IHop last night --a disaster -- cost me only $10 here. I was very impressed!! Everyone was working so hard. They were very busy but very organized. Our order was perfect and served hot. I can not imagine how they could have done better with the amount of people working. The manager gets credit with his organization but without those who served and cooked and all those keeping the tables cleared etc nothing would have worked. Great Job all! read more

I only gave it to stars because I like Waffle House, you ask for sausage egg and cheese biscuit the girl doesn't pay attention to you they serve you a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. By the way what's with the biscuits at Waffle House these days why did they have to change them? The new biscuits are bad terrible. Moving on to coffee they have good coffee if the girl can pay attention and give you more coffee but they're too busy gossiping and there gossiping loud because the stereo is too loud the music drives you nuts while you are trying to eat. It's either going to be customer service or it's going to be employees do whatever the hell they want maybe this message will make it to the corporate level and I'll come out here and straighten this Waffle House out. Poor service and atmosphere is why I I only gave it 2 Stars. read more

I got stuck in this depressing sh*thole of a town when my car broke down while I was driving through. This restaurant was the only good thing about this place- during an otherwise stressful trip. This city apparently has one homeless guy, and don't you know that we ran into him trying to find a place to eat. read more

We eat at a lot of Waffle Houses. This by far was one of the dirtiest we have ever eaten at. When we arrived there were no patrons waiting to sit. So the place was not super busy. There were four of the booths with dirty dishes on them. We had to wait for the tables to be cleared. Flies, sticky tables, sticky floors, and the prep area was a disaster. Oddly enough the food tasted great. This building needs a good pressure washing, new paint and new fixtures and constant detailed cleaning. read more

If you've ever had a nightmare about a bad restaurant, this is ten times worse than that nightmare. My family and I were traveling though town on Christmas. We stopped here to eat out of necessity as it was literally the only place open. We sat down and waited 25 mins and were never even acknowledged. They had more workers than customers and couldn't handle it. Not to mention the lack of sanitation and enormous cockroach we saw on the way out. We walked out without ever being spoken to. Probably for the best as I'm sure we would have left with some sort of food born illness. Stay away! You're better off skipping the meal all together. read more
