This place is a Waffle House. It os not nicer than any other Waffle House I have ever visited but the food was adequate and the service was very quick. I also enjoyed how this location is close to I-85 and easily accessible from both the city and the highway. They also had ample parking. Also, I cannot deny the waffle was really good. I ordered the beef stroganoff that accompanied a salad with ranch dressing and hard roll, and a cup of vegetable soup. I called in my order for pickup. The beef stroganoff lacked mushrooms and flavor. It was four beef chunks with noodles and a white sauce with a salad with no dressing and a sad roll. The vegetable soup lacked flavor. It consisted of some previously frozen vegetables in a flavorless tomato broth. The pastries looked good; however, I did not taste them. What I did order and taste was not good. I threw away my lunch, and went to Quick Trip and picked up a hot dog that was not outstanding, but much better that the uneaten but tasted meal I had previously paid $17.35 and thrown in the trash. read more

Mary is a SAINT! The best experience I've ever had at a Waffle House. We had our toddler who was losing her s*** the whole time(just one of those days). She never cared & helped any way she could. She decorated Waffle House hats for all of us at the table & brought coloring supplies to try & occupy our little one. Then brought out an apple juice for her because she was still upset after all our food had come out. She was such a sweet lady. We forgot our hats on the table & she walked them to our car when she realized we forgot them. She told us about her family & all her grandkids. I would go back just to see her honestly! Visited waffle House on pleasantburg drive my parents were so excited to go. The food was cold the eggs tasted like bacon I don't like the taste of bacon they offered to take $10 off the check and had an attitude about it. Horrible horrible experience went to Haywood road 3 weeks ago and it was the best food ever. If you're going to pleasantburg drive location make sure you go after 2:00 p.m. because the people on the ship before 2:00 p.m. don't know what they're doing the food is cold and then they're not very nice to top it off! read more

I guess the only time people review Waffle House is when they have a terrible experience, hence the bad ratings. But seriously, who can complain about what you get for these prices? I usually get the sausage egg and cheese grits bowl and that's only 3 dollars...Get a side of hash browns and you got yourself a cheaper version of the all star special minus the bread and switching out the waffle for grits. This WaHo is walking distance from the Day's Inn, so that was a plus for us. The staff were very friendly and the food was decent. The coffee was good as usual. The particular day we ate there was extra cold. It was in the lower 20's or so and the air was dry, so walking into the warm WaHo and drinking coffee made for a great morning. We were not in a hurry, so we got to sit there and look out the big windows and observe the waitress flirt with her 4 older regulars and then check the pictures in another man's wallet. He was proud of his grandchildren. It was a pretty typical Waffle House visit to me. Was the food good? Yes. It was greasy, Southern fare you would expect from most Waffle Houses. I had the hash browns scattered and smothered and they were great. I doused them in the Heinz steak sauce pretty quickly though. I also had a BLT. There was nothing particular special about it, but it was good. My wife ordered something that would have been more expensive than a 5-dollar meal, so the waitress upgraded her and she got twice the hash browns. She wasn't happy about it, because then she felt compelled to eat it and she was trying to watch what she ate. Nothing was really bad about this location. The staff took little smoke breaks and one of the waitress was a bit loud and "friendly," but that's to be expected I suppose. I called my Togo order in, was told it would be ready in 15-20mim. Great! Work caused me to be an additional 30min late, I called and warned them. They said it was fine. I showed up over an hour late, after calling a third time to let them know. I expressed I was fine with cold food, I was fine with old food. My hashbrowns were made wrong, cheese was added, my country ham was not even started, so I sat for another 10min, my hashbrowns were not started. My Texas cheesesteak's were boxed and ready.??? Why would you cook the expensive items and not the rest? Especially when I called multiple times? To further my agitation, I didn't receive my sausage. I come here for breakfast when I stay across the street for work because the comfort inn's breakfast is nasty. I have to be at work at 11 so the first time i went to this location i got there at 930. My food came out in five minutes. It was a miracle. So now when i come to Greenville on business i always go here for breakfast so i can get an extra hour of sleep and a great meal. When I received it the little old lady acted like she had a attitude when I asked for some mixed jelly as if I had jelly in my bag already or something. The cook seemed like he had a attitude and the food I received showed that he did. My grits were STIFT, no shake, no movement. It was as if I ordered oatmeal. Toast was as if the bread was old, eggs were cold. I Will NEVER Return to this Waffle House, not even for a sweet glass of OJ.
