Stopped in for a quick lunch while on vaca. Normally love Waffle House. Service- If you like being served by an emotionless zombie, this waitress was for you! She didn't have a friendly bone in her body. But she did spend the whole time talking with the "best cook from NYC" (now the Waffle House cook. Environment - normal Waffle House expectations. Clean. My husband and I love Waffle House so we stopped in this past weekend while we were at the beach. As we walked in we were greeted by everyone in the place. All smiles and so friendly. Quick service and friendly as before. The food was delicious. Our waitress was great. When we left they all spoke and invited us back. SO the next morning we went back and it was the same. My wife and I stopped by the waffle house this past Saturday on our way to a show at the Alabama theater in Myrtle Beach, SC. We received a warm welcome. The floors and table were very clean, neat and tidy. Our Waitress Bethany was excellent - our service was quick, the food was fantastic. To top it all off the restrooms were very clean and looked like they had been renovated somewhere in the not too distant past. I would highly recommend this particular waffle house. read more

I work in the food industry and the communication these workers had from the waiters to the cooks was something a lot of us restaurants can learn from. Walk in and it feels like and old school diner. I like how you can see the grill and how the cooks work. Our food came out very good and for a family of 4, $50 wasn't bad at all. Food is what I expect for Waffle House and the serving is standard waffle service but I didn't expect to sit in. I had to sit in and eat due to a 20% fee on all Togo orders. Well I guess every drive thru and pizza callins should get 20%. Maybe self checkouts at the grocery store should charge fees. I understand the employees have no voice in the matter and I don't blame them but this corporate decision to add a fee on Togo orders seems like robbery. I have never been in a Waffle House (except this one) where we were seated right away and there were still open seats. Our server placed down two menus, greeted us and took our drink orders. We split a 2 egg breakfast with sausage and added on a waffle. I was shocked at how quickly the food landed on our table. No joke, it was magic trick fast. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The sausage is very mediocre. Bacon may be a better option. The waffle arrived last, it was very tasty. I love me some covered & smothered hash browns. That's straight up comfort food. It was your typical Waffle House breakfast...good going down, stays with you for days. However, the staff here was fun and it was a bit like breakfast theatre. They were chipper and funny. Great service- great food-at a great value. We stopped in expecting to wait as we figured they were short staffed- like every other retail establishment these days. They may have been, yet it did not show. The food came quick, it tasted great, and the staff made sure they were readily available meet all out needs. this waffle house and all other waffle houses are absolutely incredible!!!! me and my wife came here on Christmas and we truly felt like santa was real that night with the amount of christmas spirit in this cozy little waffle home. the service and food was amazing and the waffle i got with chocolate chips reminded me of when i believed sandra was real. the light bulbs were all colored for the holidays which was gorgeous just like the amazing people who work here. maybe almost as gorgeous as my wife. nah probably not but i still am in love with this waffle home!! i always make sure to visit waffle homes every time i am on vacation such as when i was in charleston, savannah, atlanta, charlotte, and more. and even on my darkest days i still feel welcomed here. i've also came with my best friends and we enjoyed the music player. one of them even shouted out to the whole restaurant about how nice it is. anyways i appreciate everyone working together to make this waffle house a waffle home and i will definitely visit again very, very soon. read more

Horrible. The restaurant was extremely cold and unwelcoming. Asked about raising the temp above 63 and was told no one has access to the controls. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uncohesive. Many customers came in and left before their food was delivered. Orders were a complete mess, someone kept fumbling the orders. By the time our food reached the table from the grill omit is cold. Terrible, terrible experience and I am normally a fan which is why I came with my 3 friends. This location is so unwelcoming and inflexible. The cooks are probably cold too which is why the orders are getting messed up . Aweful experience. The manager repeatedly said we not taking no more orders until we get this figured out. And it is not nearly as busy as it has been at other locations on a regular basis. read more

We eat at Waffle House a lot. My husband always asks to have him waffle first. We have never had a problem until today. Our waitress told the kitchen to make the waffle and she was told NO, we could wait. At that time she told us they were busy and understaffed and she was sorry. There were 7 employees working and open tables. My husband told her since it was such an issue not to worry about it, but he never had this problem before. The cook did not make his waffle however the waitress went back there and made it for him. We have had far better service at a location that had a wait. read more

This morning i ordered what I love for breakfast. their pecan waffle together with over -easy eggs, large bacon, hash brown with cheese, and a cup of coffee. The problem I had with my visit to Waffle House was this: I am on vacation, took 3 of my grandchildren to the Waffle House for breakfast and one of my granddaughters wanted coffee. The waitress had the nerve to ask if my granddaughter drinks coffee. If you are not paying my bill or supporting my grandchildren, please stay out of my business. Overall an unpleasant experience. Waffle was okay. Eggs were not good, and the egg ordered over easy seemed as if they barely even cooked it. One member of our party ordered toast, and was given a random type of jam (never asked, or offered butter). The other member of our party who ordered toast wasn't given jam. Bacon was way over cooked. I am normally a huge fan of Waffle House but will certainly NOT return to this location. They did seem to be extremely understaffed, and had multiple hiring signs around the outside of the establishment. Service was okay, but the server just wasn't really friendly. read more
