It's been less than one year since this spot has opened up to the public. I have visited twice now with my babe for a late night hunger run. Both visits the restaurant has been fairly empty. Well the wait times have been non-existing... which is a great thing. The more established Waffle Houses... standing room only or the wait times exceed 20 minutes easily. Well not this location... I can only vouch for the two Friday nights I visited about 11 pm both times... Greeted upon walking in... No wait to sit... the bar top and tables were always available The server has greeted us within seconds after sitting down Once our order was placed... we were eating within 10 minutes. I hope the restaurant keeps up this great standing! It is also well lit and clean inside. I am a fan and this will always be a go to spot if I am in the area. I hope you all have the same stellar experience too if you visit. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Very slow and inconsiderate. Waffle House should never take this long to serve food. Took 30 mins and we were the only people in here.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!…read more Just wow, this place has the best brunch food in Norfolk. I am so impressed. The meatloaf panini is seriously life changing. I changed out provolone for pepper jack and, genuinely wow. The eggs benedict was fabulous. Our pancake also hit the spot. Our server Avery was so nice! Our food came out quick and delicious. The atmosphere feels so nostalgic and such a vibe. This is an absolute must try spot for all locals and tourists!

Went on a Sunday morning around 10:30 a.m. This is a seat-yourself restaurant with bar seating,…read moretables, a front outdoor seating area, and a partially enclosed back patio. Just something to keep in mind if you're visiting in the summer. The back patio does not have air conditioning. If you sit by the large front windows, be prepared for the sun. The building faces east, so by late morning the sun is shining directly through those windows. I was sitting with my back to it and was so hot. I probably could have asked them to lower the shade, but it's something to consider when choosing your table. Shana was our server, and she was great. Friendly, attentive, and checked on us regularly. Now for the best part. The sorbet mimosas. We ordered two, one with mango sorbet and one with lemon and raspberry sorbet, and they were incredible. If you come here, these are an absolute must order. We started with the fried green tomatoes. They were good, but they were clearly made from frozen slices rather than fresh-cut tomatoes. I ordered the salmon cakes with eggs and a pancake. Everything was delicious. No complaints at all. The food easily earns 5 stars. The decor has a classic old-school diner vibe with black and white checkered floors and chrome accents, which I really liked. My only real complaint was the bar seating. If you're on the shorter side, the stools are not very comfortable. The seats are not very deep, there is no foot rail to rest your feet on, and since the stools are bolted to the floor, you cannot scoot in to get comfortable. The backs of my legs started going numb, so we moved to a table as soon as one opened up. Ironically, it was the table directly in front of that hot window. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Great food, excellent service, and those sorbet mimosas alone are worth the visit. Just be strategic about where you sit if you're visiting on a warm, sunny day.

Coopers Restaurant provided an exceptional experience for our family's repass for 50+ guests on a…read moreFriday at noon. Initially, I resisted choosing Coopers due to its lack of aesthetic decor and worries about how it would compare to pricier local venues requiring steep deposits. However, turning to Coopers turned out to be the best decision we could have made for a celebration of life repass. The staff accommodated our diverse group seamlessly. Cheri and the servers delivered next-level service, expertly managing a large crowd and handling every drink order with absolute grace. They seated family and friends up on a riser while thoughtfully arranging floor seating for our mature guests in their 80s using walkers and wheelchairs. While the venue's interior is basic, the food was the true highlight for everyone from ages 1 to 100. The Meats: The fried chicken was seasoned to perfection, and the baked chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. The smothered pork chops with onions were so tender they could be cut with a fork, and the hot wings were a massive hit that disappeared quickly. The peel-and-eat shrimp was well-seasoned, and the shrimp fried rice--though a unique spin with plenty of shrimp and vegetables--was just average. The only real miss was the fried fish (Tilapia or Whiting), which had a fishy smell that could be resolved by washing it after defrosting. Pig feet looked tender and well seasoned I was told. The Sides: The candied yams were the undisputed star of the side dishes with just the right amount of sugar and syrup. The mashed potatoes tasted genuinely homemade, and the cabbage was a hit for most with a nice flavor profile. The collard greens, green beans, and macaroni and cheese drew mixed reviews, leaning middle-of-the-road, while the salad bar and cold salads like potato and macaroni salad were solid additions. Vegan/Vegatrian - Salad bar (Please ask question on the other sides) Collard Greens and String Beans may have meat or meat broth. Pescatarian - Peel and eat shrimp and fried fish STANDING OVATION to the cooks in the back they need more recognition of being able to cook for a diverse age and taste buds. Please keep in mind these cooks are cooking for a large diverse crowd some patrons have food restrictions due to medical issues and cannot have highly seasoned and spicy foods. So, the cooks cannot be creative with the seasons like other restaurants or your home. A must try is the Chicken (Fried and Baked), Smothered Pork Chops, Turkey Wings(Sunday), Cabbage and Yams. These are solid staples everyday of the week. Coopers restuarant offered incredible value, avoiding the exorbitant hundreds or thousands of dollars charged by traditional catering halls/restuarants for uncertain headcounts, and ensured we didn't waste food. Most importantly, it gave us a spacious, welcoming environment to fellowship and honor a loved one together. If you need a accommodating venue with great food and reasonable pricing for a large group, seriously consider Coopers restuarant.

FIRST TIMER AS IT JUST POPPED UP FIRST ON YELP WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR LUNCH. LET ME SAY ALL I GOT WAS A SALAD BUT BELIEVE ME I HAD MY EYES ON MULTIPLE THINGS! Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff. I asked for opinions on pescatarian options and the man was very helpful with different options as I thought I was set on what I was getting. He suggested the Arrostito salad && it didn't disappoint. From the perfectly cooked tuna to the roasted veggies AND the generous bombdotcom salad dressing portion (and flavor). Its cute with plenty of space to sit. Good vibes going and good food. I will be a regular! 2ND VISIT: Took my partner and we went overboard but in a good way. It's only been a week but i couldn't resist because all Ive been talking about is that salad. This time I got the salad x partner got the Saint Ana sandwich; I added a side French toast, matcha pistachio latte, chai latte and a cinnamon roll (Will report backback)

It jiggled when I tapped it and the side salad tasted great with dill in it and it brightened up things. The combination of both was great. The crust on the quiche was nice as well. My spouse enjoyed their sandwich but didn't realize there was mustard so he ended up just using the chips to eat his egg and sausage. His egg was also fluffy.
