It's been less than one year since this spot has opened up to the public. I have visited twice now with my babe for a late night hunger run. Both visits the restaurant has been fairly empty. Well the wait times have been non-existing... which is a great thing. The more established Waffle Houses... standing room only or the wait times exceed 20 minutes easily. Well not this location... I can only vouch for the two Friday nights I visited about 11 pm both times... Greeted upon walking in... No wait to sit... the bar top and tables were always available The server has greeted us within seconds after sitting down Once our order was placed... we were eating within 10 minutes. I hope the restaurant keeps up this great standing! It is also well lit and clean inside. I am a fan and this will always be a go to spot if I am in the area. Pretty decent Waffle House in P-town, Va. Unfortunately, I was starving so I did not have a chance to take any pictures of my food, and I apologize to the Yelp universe. Normally, I always order the MVP Waffle Special, but I wanted to try something a bit different for this visit. OMG, I did not know how amazing the Waffle House's egg bowls are!!! I think an egg bowl with a regular waffle as a side will be my go-to orders going forward. Eh, I guess the bowls are pretty much everything that is in an MVP Special but combined in a bowl. The service at this Waffle House's location was pretty easy breezy and fast. There was not a lot of customer-waitress interaction, which did not bother me at all. I know that the service staff has to engage with their customers, but sometimes folks just want to eat and bounce. Besides the great service, I thought the restaurant was pretty clean, relative to other Waffle House locations that I have visited over the years. read more

The only people in there that know what they're doing are the cooks. The server was slow and quiet, didn't greet us, only came to the table after about 7 minutes after we sat down, she put down the silverware without saying a word and walked away for another 5 minutes. When she finally did come back I had to repeat myself multiple times when placing my order and yet she still didn't get it right, we said split checks she gave us 1, then when trying to pay we had to wait another 10 minutes and noone knew how to work the register. I was 2 minutes away from walking out without paying. Terrible experience, the only good part was the food so props to the cooks. Everyone else needs major retraining. read more

Waffle House is usually a hit or miss, this one is a hit! Every Waffle House is different. Some are good, some bad. This particular branch is a good one. Service is good, food is good, and location is good. My waitress was very helpful and friendly making sure I had eveything I needed while I ate the deliciously cheap and flavorful food. Do not go to any Waffle House expecting the highest quality foods, go here for comfort food, after the bar/club food, or that 12 am midnight snack craving. This Waffle House is clean and organized. Social distance is practiced and parking is clean and plentiful. I cannot say every Waffle House in Virginia is as good as this one but if you are nearby, go to this one! read more

Walked in literally ten minutes ago. No greeting by the staff! I received the look that says,"Please don't order anything today because we are not trying to work at full capacity today". I finally decided to seat myself at the booth and again no acknowledgment. I figured since I'm invisible, let me stand at the register next to the lady washing the dishes. Again no acknowledgment! cook was sick. my bacon was raw. I asked if they could throw it back on the grill, still raw. nasty grits, my waffle still had batter in it I won't be back to this Waffle House. the cook sat beside me talking about how sick he was and could Mackenzie handle it if he went home and she said she couldn't cook. not impressed at all. someone needs to teach these people how to cook before yall get someone very sick and don't come to work cooking food if your sick! read more

So, I was going to take my fiancé out for Sunday breakfast. We walk in and with 9 wait staff working and 4 customers in the building, we were greeted with mumbling over a very loud jukebox playing. Could not hear anyone speaking to us at all. Could not even hear my fiancé across the table from me. Once we were greeted by our server, she could not hear us or vice versa, but we finally order and we never got water, silverware or our coffee ( all things you should have while waiting on meal) after waiting a while while music was blasting......we got up and left. (Dirty, rude staff, no motivation, ) this is my first ever review... Soon as I walked in you can feel the negative environment. Tables were all dirty. I sat down with my fiancé and was asked to move cause she didn't want to wipe the table down but ended up wiping a different table down anyway in the process cause like I said they were dirty. The lady was very upset she had to clean it. We got up and left to a different location Waffle House. When we left she spoke to her coworker and said in a rude way "I don't care that they leaving" / last time we came here same thing but with the food you gotta remind them constantly what they are missing, ended up getting a discount cause I didn't receive my food. My husband and I sat at our table for 15 minutes before we decided to walk out. There were only 2 tables other than us who already had orders put in. This Waffle House hasn't been here too long, so i expected it to be a little different than other waffle houses.... maybe less crowded, cleaner, less chaotic. Well.... we didn't have to wait long for a table. It's a small building. So there isn't a lot of tables, but there was a lot of bar style seating. We waited like 2 minutes so the server could clean off the table and wipe it down. From what i could tell there was only 2 wait staff working. Our waiter was nice, but i could tell he was overwhelmed with his tables and doing other things throughout the kitchen. The food came out fast, but little things were wrong. No gravy on hash brown, forgot to give us sausage and the waffles. As for cleanliness, the floor could definitely use a good sweep and mop, but good thing we weren't eating off the floor. I went to this location at George Washington Hwy, where I ordered food and waited 35 mins for my order to be ready, while there was 12 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing but talking and having a good time. All the while other customers that ordered after me received their orders before me. Even the managers were standing around looking. They need to do better. read more

Lately, my 12 y/o and I have been getting takeout from here. Clarence has been the main one, who has been preparing our food. It is always delicious and placed neatly in the containers. He is such a nice and caring employee that when I went in tonight he knew EXACTLY what I wanted to order and how I wanted it. Stopped in on a sat morning about 9:30 8/23/20. Waited in line . Order a takeout order and ordered a coffee while I wait. Mind you j ride there on my motorcycle. I was told by the manager that I could not have a seat it was for paying dine in customers. I paid my $20 like everyone else and I'm drinking a coffee while I wait. At the counter. Was told to wait on the X in the way of other take out orders or I can go outside.... to sit in my hot bike.... food was well. But that was total bull. First time grabbing breakfast from this location and was an absolutely fail when it came to service. The lady who took my order told me she would notify me by text when my food was ready. 10 minutes past and I look through the window at her confused face while holding a bag not knowing it was my order the entire time and just sat the bag on the counter with no care. the moment I walked inside she pointed at the bag stating my food was ready but totally disregarded the fact that she didn't notify me like their policy says they would.
