It had been quite a while since I've dined at any Waffle House (years), and I had been desperately craving their waffles and country ham. This was the first time that I've tried a waffle house that's located up north. Usually, I dine at this chain when traveling towards the south. While I was a bit unsure if the nostalgia and food would be the same, I still decided to give them a chance. I am pleased to inform anyone who's wondering that the food and nostalgia are pretty darn close! The ambiance is just as any other location, a few booth tables, and countertop seating. It definitely still has a quaint diner feel. The only slight difference I noticed in their menu was the choice of ham that is offered (which wasn't a deal breaker by any means) but if you're looking for the country ham that's served in the south, the PA locations don't have that cut but they do offer city ham (smaller portions). Overall, it was delicious. I opted for the classic breakfast option, which comes with 2 eggs, toast, 1 waffle, choice of meat, and either grits or hashbrowns for a whopping $11.00 The price point here has always been fantastic! The service at this location was awesome! Every staff member we came in contact with was extremely pleasant. They all seemed to work very well together. I will definitely visit this location again the next time I pass through Pennsylvania.

Classic waffle house vibe. Old school dive diner feel but with great service and decent food. Open kitchen so you can watch the short order cook do their magic in getting all the food out to the hungry customers.

Oh yes, I did plan an entire four hour drive routing based on where I could eat at a Waffle House halfway through the drive. Don't judge. We stopped in at 8 AM on a Saturday morning and were greeted promptly and seated at a booth overlooking the street. Coffees and our drinks were in placed in front of us very quickly, although they did forget to bring us the water we asked for. After being reminded, someone did bring them after we were finished our meal. Why do you come to a Waffle House? It's because you can get a simple breakfast with hash brown fast. No foo foo, no unpronounceable names, no ingredients or recipes from a far away land. You can pretty much guarantee filling up your belly for under $8 a person.

This place is low key mad sus but we needed to place to eat late at night. It was my first time at a Waffle House but not my partners and he said this is usually the vibe. Not too many people were around this late at night. The food was edible and filling, though I discovered those are not real blueberries in the blueberry pancake. I decent cheap spot if you're looking for warmth and something to eat in the middle of the night I suppose.

The sign says, "Good food fast!" And it was. Coffee was great, a waffle with sausage patties filled me up. Great service, tooWith Waffle House, you know what your gettinf, nothing fancy, just good food fast.

We arrived around 7 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was completely empty and we were seated right away. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us. We ordered a few All Star Special breakfasts and drinks. The food came out hot and relatively quickly. The grits were especially good. Seasoned well and smooth. Definitely seemed like they cooked for awhile. Even better than what I've had in the south. The bathrooms were also clean. A bit on the cold side but clean. I would suggest trying this location. Great service and food.

Waffle House is usually very consistent. it is what it is. Waffles, eggs, a few sandwiches and of course, hash browns. You know what you're getting here and it's usually a coronary disease. I was the only customer in the place on this slow weekday. So my waitress had no problem keeping my coffee cup filled. My order was taken and filled very quickly, since it was the only one. A perfectly cooked waffle, two fried eggs, toast, hash browns covered and a slice of "city" ham. Also known as the All Star Breakfast. Cooked right, very filling and it kept me going until a late lunch. Four stars for this Waffle House. My only complaint is that because it was slow, all but one of the crew spent about ten minutes out back having a smoke. Because they smelled of it when they returned.

We had to eat and decided to give this place a try. Nice, comfortable place with friendly staff. As you are waiting to be seated, you are tempted by a cold case with lots of homemade sweet goodies. I was hungry and wanted to try everything. Hubby wasn't that hungry, but he still ordered something. We started with a mixed munchies plate. This came with chicken strips, fried mozzarella sticks, and pierogies, with a side of marinara sauce. They had four daily soups. They all sounded really good. I had chicken and orzo, and my husband had cream of chicken (I think). The soups were amazing. It had big chunks of white meat chicken. I really wanted some beer-battered fish and chips. I was told the regular cod fish and chips were not beer-battered, and only the haddock was beer-battered. I opted for the haddock with French fries and corn. Hubby ordered Philly cheesesteak flatbread. The mixed munchies were good. I don't think I have had deep-fried pierogies. I think I prefer the steamed ones. But these had a good flavor. The haddock was huge. I sent a picture to my kids, and they commented that only the head and tail were missing. . . lol. . . I hardly ate any fries, but hubby said they were crispy, hot, and tasty. Hubby got his flatbread to go, and we ordered a strawberry shortbread cake to go. We had some of the cake as a late-night snack. It was okay, but I don't think I would get it again. I was thankful that hubby wasn't being "tight" today. I didn't even have to ask him to be generous with a tip. He said, "It's Mother's Day, and she's working". Sorry, forgot to snap a pick of the philly and the cake.

We looked at a few different options for places to eat and thought this one would be nice for a sit down discussion. We got there around 10 AM and a few patrons were scattered about. Quite a variety of different places to sit, we sat at a table for two near the bar. Handed a breakfast/lunch menu so many things looked so good. We weren't sure what to go with so we asked for some of their favorites. We were offered suggestions on the avocado toast and the poppy. I went with the avocado toast. As always, I bagged the onion and kept all the other ingredients which included avocado spread, spinach, tomato, sunflower seeds, and an egg over easy. You have a choice of toast, including white, wheat, or rye. Gotta go with wheat! Absolutely a terrific place to go to and support the local community and get everything you'd want and one of those chain type coffee shops (you know the green one I'm talking about) and get a much more natural, even lower cost option

However, the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the quiche and the avocado toast with a side of potatoes. Potatoes were burned, well, charred really. They did take them off the bill. Quiche was so so, and the avocado toast had a ton of raw spinach on it, which was hard to eat along with the toast. Should have come steamed or sautéed instead. Bacon was good though! I was very excited about the pastry case at first since everything in there looked fresh and home made, but when I was trying to decide what to get "to go", like one of their muffins, I saw flies buzzing around and landing on the items. No thank you. I know flies are around in the summer, but the pastry case should be shielded from bugs at all times. I think if I were in the area I may give this place another chance since I liked other things about it like the atmosphere and the fact that it did look like a local family favorite.
