I walked in at 7:45 pm on June 28th. Every table in the place was dirty including the counter spots. I put my order in, not anything complicated. Texas sausage egg and cheese melt with hash browns, jalapeños and cheese on the hash, and a plain waffle. After that the waitress that took my order went out front, and the cook served up the food for me. He mentioned something about syrup and butter but turned back around. Never got either one. Ten minutes go by, my waitress comes in. She finally starts wiping down tables and bringing dishes to her sink. She's talking with the other waitress about reality tv but doesn't check on me. She keeps walking around in front of me, and eventually turns with her back facing me right in front of me talking to the cook. My waffle was cold, didn't get my order right, and the waitress couldn't have possibly cared less. I cashed out and left, and the waitress asked me what f I wanted to take off the waffle, to which I replied "yes, I never got any syrup for it." Left a zero dollar tip, and walked out. I'm in the food service industry, and understand that it gets really tough. Nothing is ever perfect, and everyone is generally just trying to do their best. But I was the waitresses only tab. The other waitress had three. The cook knew I needed syrup, even though it wasn't his job, and the other waitress had three tables. Poor service isn't acceptable especially when you're dead. I guess there is a good reason why some people refer to waffle house as the" awful waffle. From the tweaked out addicts nodding out in the parking lot. Or the pan handlers pan handling in front of it. Now on to the food. Cold and greasy is putting it mildly. The smell of unchanged cooking oil and burnt coffee will make you nauseated. And that is before you order food. The service? Either a exhausted server that has been dealing with drunk customers ( God bless her). Or a guy with very greasy looking hair and body odor so bad it will make you gag. Expect plenty of entertainment while eating. The arguing back and forth from the cooks. Loud drunk patrons. The couple loudly arguing in the booth not far from you. And the poor tired server who looks like flo from Mel's diner dealing with everyone's crap. Expect to wait for your food. After eating this over priced cold slop. You will get even more entertainment in the parking lot. Tweaked out people arguing . And expect to be approached by several asking for money. Now for the real fun. 35 to 45 minutes after eating your stomach will tell you by its excessive churning that it isn't happy with you. Your bowels will rumble louder then a 69 camero with modified exhaust. Followed by gas so putrid it will knock a skunk on its ass. But it doesn't end there oh no. Ten minutes later you will be sitting on your toilet praying to God the father and the saints above to stop the toxic sludge your bowels are releasing. While your wife is in the kitchen hurling in the sink like Linda Blair from the exorcist. You best be well stocked with charmin 2 ply soft cause your ass is gonna need it. Are all Waffle Houses the same? I don't think so. It all depends on the staff. And this location stuck out to me. It just seemed that the employees enjoyed their jobs and had a tight routine. I came here for lunch on a slow day and maybe that's why I received great service. I'll have to come back to see if I get the same staff. Also they updated their menu. It's shorter than usual so it makes it easier to choose. I guess that's good. read more

We were in the area for overnight stay in hotel next door and got take out from this place. We got chicken and eggs and fiesta omelet. My wife customized her hash browns. Food was very good, although the hash browns i got were dry. We got the chocolate pie as well which was great. read more

Aweful customer service, went in and ordered a cup of grits. Person made no eye contact, was not nice and as I left a tip, did not even acknowledged it. There was no sign of thanks. As I waited on my order she poured it into a bowl and tried to throw it to me. It hit a table and she laughed. She picked it up and tried to hand it to me, I asked can I get a bag. We where there on sunday july 9 2023 for breackfast... we went in and stand for a period of time.. we ask if we can go ahead and take a table .. it was not yet clean it had 2 cups and we didint even mind.. we where waiting for them to clean .. since they where no tables left.. then this really rude employee name ashley told us to get up and wait untill they cleaned she was theres a city code you have to wait !! blabla bla .. i had never hear this nonsense .. she was just so rude and all time she was saying the word fuck .. waffle house dont need this kind of unhappy people .. it will ruin your breackfast .. dont bother to go there speacilly if you have kids .. this lady is a no good .. beware of ashley she got a really bad atitude!! Waffle House is one of those great American chains that people would call you weird if you had never been to. Up until my fiancée and I decided the southern route was the safest bet for our move out to San Diego, we were both weird. While I would compare the food itself to that of Dennys or IHOP, there's a certain charm to a Waffle House that you won't find at other similar establishments. Whether you're a townie, just traveling through, or extremely inebriated and craving some hash browns, it was clear after one visit that you'd be getting the same hospitality at this Southern staple every time. I really enjoy waffle houses, but this is one to avoid. Just wanted some waffles and tea. We were given a plastic soda cup with hot water, no spoon, no milk. I live nearby and love this little Waffle House! If you don't like Waffle Houses A) you won't like it here and B) don't talk to me. But, if you are awesome and you do love Waffle Houses this place is everything to love about them: fast, friendly service, cheap, homey eats, an adorable wee diner atmosphere and a damn fine cup of black coffee. Sometimes the country music playing can be distracting rather than charming, but one time they played "Deliverance" so I forgive them. read more
