This is solid Southern barbecue, with authentic meats and their own special sauce. A little nick for only having one sauce, with bottles of sport peppers if you want to add your own heat? And ruin their flavor? But they brought more sauce when I asked so that I could drench ALL the meats. Brisket had a bit of a corned beef vibe to it. Ribs may not have fallen off the bone but they pulled off cleanly, and absolutely are not dry. The pulled pork was a little dry, perhaps. None of the meats were the best I've ever had, but all absolutely were good enough to recommend and have again. The sides: Generous fried okra. Beans have a nice meat base. They were nice to let me pick my sides even though the menu says beans and slaw. In general the service was nice and very accommodating, but a little Southern slow to stop by at times. Hey, I'm in the South. Verdict: Not convinced this is the best BBQ in Mobile, but for being all the way out west in range of the airport, probably the best food and dining experience for miles around.

I didn't wan't a big breakfast prior to lunch so I decided to stop by PJ's for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. I last visited a PJ's when I was in NOLA last year. This morning I ordered a Turkey sausage with egg and cheese sandwich, on an English Muffin. It was surprisingly good! It's actually better than Starbucks sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. What I loved about it is that the English Muffin was soft and not over baked. Coffee was great. I took it with me and finished it later. I also ordered a cinnamon walnut coffee cake. The coffee cake was a great compliment to the coffee. Staff was friendly here and it didn't take that long to receive my order. If you're looking for lighter breakfast and staying in or around Tillman's Corner, I recommend checking out PJ's. My bill of sale was reasonable priced as well. I'll definitely return here when in Mobile again.

I got there earlier than what the estimated time in my email said my food would be ready. The place was pretty close to packed. I realized the store was more than a restaurant because it displayed cuts of meat in the glass counter. I saw a family with children with popsicles that the parents had purchased along with the meal. When I moved further in the store I was approached by a employee and I told them I made an online order. She went back in the kitchen and came back with my food after a short wait. When I got back home, I couldn't wait to eat. There was a plate for salad and a plate for the quesadilla with the rice and beans. I mixed up the salad with the rice and beans. I don't eat Mexican food a lot so I'm not sure if that's how it's done but that's how I did it. I enjoyed it. Next I tried the carne asada quesadilla. This was like no quesadilla I had before. I say this knowing all quesadillas basically consist of the same thing: dough, meat, and cheese. This quesadilla was on another level because each of those ingredients were much better than what I've experienced before. The cheese was really the star of the quesadilla. It was so rich. I really loved this quesadilla. It was the best one I've ever had in life. Before I forget I want to mention I bought a Mexican Coca Cola with my meal. I could taste the difference from regular Coke but I can't exactly describe it. I loved it though. I really want to come back here and try more items on the menu.
