I stopped in their Tillman's Corner location last night before going to Walmart. It's one of my favorite go-to places. I was greeted and seated quickly. Trista was my server. She was great! There's a reason this place closed and remodeled, I am just not sure what good it did. The fresh paint looks nice and the new seats were comfortable, but unfortunately that is the end of the good. Since no review in the last year or so is positive that should be a clue. I suppose the crew that gets mentioned in positive reviews left before the remodel are working somewhere else 'cause this bunch sucks. Lil Pug and I suffered through the worst experience by a wait staff possible. I understand she had 5 tables, but come on, write it down if ya gonna work stoned (I hope she isn't that scatter brained sober). We were greeted and seated fairly quick, always a good sign at noon on a weekday. Not crowded, maybe a dozen tables occupied in whole restaurant. I won't bore you with every detail of the poor service but the low points are: acted confused and didn't know daily specials, Lil Pug had to tell her after looking on app. I ordered sweet tea, she returned later to tell me they had no sugar so I had water, nice little down sell on the ticket, saved me 5 bucks and less for tip calculation later. Salad bar was pretty standard gas station fare, wilted, soggy, and slim pickings. My favorite was the note about the "famous" croutons near the empty bowl, must be fantastic because they were out. Our request for a straw due to the dirty looking mugs our waters were in was met with the famous eye roll, so they aren't in your apron? What's in that thing if not straws, pens, order pad, napkins you know the stuff professional waitstaff carry. Well the answer is NO, had to go grab some. I guess the attempts to impress us by not writing anything down was a bad idea, she forgot damn near everything she could and made as many trips to the kitchen as allowed by law. And the trips were prolonged adventures, not sure if she was making mayo from scratch or what but it took as long as it would for me to cross the parking lot and buy some at WalMart, plus I could have gotten some sugar for tea on the trip. The food was nothing to get excited about except for the door buster cheap ass price. For 9.99 we got a naked smash burger, burned tots and that sketchy ass salad bar. With that price point they should OWN the lunch crowd in Tillmans Corner. I can't get a nasty McDonalds bag O' crap for that price , and trust me the Tillmans Corner Mickeys is the worst I have encountered anywhere, in several countries, but is higher on my list for the next meal than this place. I could have handled the mediocre food for that price, but I can't do it with horrid service and over an hour of down time. It has been said you can get it fast, cheap, or good, pick 2 but this place only has cheap and that's gonna be the end of this location. I am sure the staff is starving out with no real crowd and lousy tips, but I don't tip based on the bill, that part involves my food quality, the tip is on the server. I will tip more than the bill if the service is better than expected and the bill is low. I won't penalize staff if I don't order big, but I also don't tip big on a big bill if the service is sub-par. I felt like I should have spoken to manager like table behind me, but what could I expect? A coupon to come back would have gone in the trash, and my meal was so cheap I would be embarrassed to have it compt. I hope someone can salvage this mess, but it won't be with my business. Wish I had spent an extra 2 bucks and gone to any one of over a dozen places in sight of this one. Oh well, back in the day it was nice, but I also had a full head of hair then and things just change. It is what it is, a shell of the old place with fresh paint. Now I understand what is meant by putting lipstick on a pig. No pictures as I didn't want to even waste the space on my phone for this crap. read more

I had scallops, they were like little rubber things! No taste other than the cajun spice it was cooked in. The service was very good. Sekerr was a great waitress. She took very good for business. The biggest reason we go to Ruby Tuesday, tonight is was nothing to write home about. Mushrooms were mostly black and VERY slimy. They did not have any meat on the salad bar, very messy and not very clean looking. I had ordered the NEW lobster soup, they were out! My wife had chicken carbonara, she thought I was very good lots of chicken and very moist but it was fill of slimy mushrooms. In the area where sitting there was only three tables with customers. Salad bar left a lot to be desired. Rusty, old lettuce, wilted veggies, and dressings without labels that had been mixed together. When you purchased it as a meal for 12.99, that's incredibly annoying. After the disappointment of the salad bar, we then waited 30 minutes for our food and were met with even more disappointment. My 6oz "Rib Eye" for $18 was nothing more than a thin sliced steak that I could have bought at a grocery store for $3. Our son's chicken tenders were falling apart at the touch and had a horrible after taste. Only decent food was the baked potatoes and french fries. This has become a favorite lunch spot for the price and food. The salad bar is always well stocked with great selections. Went Tuesday and had the special which is a $6.99 sandwich (burger, chicken or fish) and fries or tots. I had the grilled fish sandwich (tilapia) with tots and added a salad bar which was $5.99. Did this because I was wanting a salad bar but it alone was $12.49. Started with the salad bar and it was the best, it even had fried pickle chips as a topping! The sandwich came out and it was a huge piece of fish on a brioche bun dressed with lettuce, tomato and pickle (I left the onion off) with a side of tartar sauce. This meal! Woah it was Breathtaking. I enjoyed our outstanding server, Stanly. His marvelous service really made me cheerful. My middle child Jaylen loved his Coconut shrimp appetizer. I wish I could say the same but it wasn't to my liking, but still one of the best meals I have ever had. One could argue that the atmosphere is musty. But surprisingly it made me feel like I was back in my nana's kitchen again LOL. Made it there at 11am to get a fresh salad just to find old toppings. They literally put the salad pasta out that was left over from a previous date with a corner in the bottom of the dish and the dish was dirty! When asked if they had fresh salad I received no response! read more

Food is good, decently priced. Not to mention the drinks are also worth it. Service is always quick and great, it does get a little busy during lunch but definitely still worth it. Semi dark dining area and older inside but it doesn't change the taste of the food or atmosphere as a whole. Definitely recommend it. read more

Kathy, our server, deserves a 5 Star but the restaurant gets a 3 Star. She was sweet, attentive, and down to earth. Pros: This Ruby Tuesday had one of the cleanest looking salad bars I've seen out of the ones I've been to. Our server. Overall Restaurant cleanliness. Cons: Food.- My friend's sliders came out medium-medium rare. I have never had my sliders from there even cooked medium. She had to send them back. They took them off our check without us even asking so that was good but it took a while for them to bring her new ones. The kitchen staff is a con. I ordered the veggie trio & when my food came out my mash potatoes already had that "I haven't been moved" film on them. For it being 2:00 on a Wednesday, the kitchen staff really had no excuse. Absolutely terrible experience. Waitress was very sweet but not attentive at all. The appetizers (BBQ nachos & cheese sticks) we ordered were disgusting. The chicken was gristly and still had skin attached. The waitress said "the cooks are being stingy today" when we asked for an extra side of marinara before biting into them and finding they were totally devoid of cheese... we ended up sending them back as they literally were empty fried shells. When apologetically sending them back (we never do that!) the waitress knew exactly why before we explained saying it was a problem with the "new" kind they order and consistent with frequent customer feedback. Bathrooms were filthy. The waitress said her manager was terrible and she "didn't want to get yelled at." Customers were walking up to the wait staff station asking for their ordered items and the manager's response was bitter and unaccommodating. Having worked at a different RT location back in college (that was amazing) we were so disappointed here. :( We've always loved Ruby Tuesday's and are sorry to see any of its locations downgraded so much. This location has a pick up inside the store by the bar. But they also have seating for dine in customers in that same area. For some reason they said the dining customers in the exact same area repeat the lineup to pay for there to go order. This is a conflict for the people who are trying to enjoy their dining meal. It's a very busy area with people coming and going and paying. The servers are hanging out in a booth in the back playing with the phones. The other servers and bartenders are discussing inventory at the bar and going back-and-forth. All in all it was very uncomfortable and not A quiet dinner with my husband. on a positive note the chicken With fettuccine noodles and Parmesan sauce and broccoli was out of this world. there was way too much of it for one person but I ate every bit of it anyway. read more

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. If you are considering eating here - I would encourage you to consider somewhere else. There was a time when RT was one of the leading chains, with top-notch management. Their Morrison's Management Training program (parent company of Ruby Tuesday's) was unsurpassed in the 1980's and 90's. Somewhere along the way, they've lost their way. As we entered - we were greeted by a smiling face who had no idea what to do with a party of four. For some reason, this hostess had no idea if there were any tables available. One look around would show that there were - the question would be if there were any staff on the clock to serve us. Probably new, but being a hostess is one of those things that shouldn't require a great deal of training. Maybe 10 minutes. It ain't rocket science. They had a "new" menu. Many chains do this occasional change of menu. Keep what sells, introduce new items. I can't fault them for this, as they must adapt or they'll shut their doors. That said - I fault them just the same. I used to order the veggie platter - I'd get three sides for 10 or 11 bucks. And it was the spaghetti squash that I'd get. But, they've taken that off the menu, much to my disappointment. So, the was some other options - but I chose to just get a couple of sides - broccoli and a loaded baked potato. The broccoli was actually cooked quite well - but it was supposed to be a 3.5 ounce serving (for a heinous 2.98!!!) but it was closer to 2.5 ounces. 5 florets. That was it. The baked potato came with the trimmings as expected, on the side. The potato, however, was over-baked. The skin was crunchy - and that's not the way a baked potato is supposed to turn out. The bacon bits that came with it - must have been old. They were more like bacon jerky. Tough, chewy - nothing like bacon. Someone else in my party got some modified deviled eggs - with a 1/4 slice of bacon sticking out of it. The egg stuff was marginal - you'd either like or you wouldn't - but the egg white was rubbery. Our server, a very soft-spoken young man who was competent "enough", but not enough to suit me. A clear lack of knowledge about checking back with the table to ensure needs are met. He did drop by and refill our drinks - but I could've used another visit. He didn't pre-bus the tables as he should've, but I suspect he was busy with other tables. Management was ...just putrid. Never stopped by our table to ask how our meal was. That's just inexcusable. If I were in charge, that manager would be demoted back to being a cook. She's clearly risen to her own level of incompetence as a manager. As I exited, I did my best to let her know that the food was unsavory at best. She told me she'd never heard that before in all her 20 years. I told her she was a liar - disappointing food is a complaint almost every manager will hear at least once a week, if not more. She didn't even care to listen to what was wrong with the food and rushed back towards the interior. So there you have it - a very poor showing from a chain restaurant. I suspect most will be smart enough to avoid this place anyway - but if you're tempted in the least, I'd suggest you consider Wintzell's or Half-Shell. At least those folks have a clue what service and good food are about. (and for non-chain restaurants, try Jerusalem Cafe or 7 spice. Different kind of food for certain - but far better than the fare at RT. Just my two cents - yours for free. read more

I love the salad bar. They have extensive salad toppings and several blended salads to select .The price is reasonable for the amount of salads they have on hand. The day I visited everything was fresh. The server was extremely nice to the patrons. She had customers coming in and calling her name before they were seated. I would say the staff is very friendly and treat customers as family rather than guests. I would say the service alone deserves the 5 star rating. read more

What a shockingly mediocre (at best) experience. I am old enough to remember when Ruby Tuesday was a nicer restaurant - somewhere between Applebee's and Olive Garden. Now, they are on par with IHOP and Golden Corral. After seeing commercials for their "Endless Garden Bar" on TV, and reminiscing about how much i used to love it, I decided to give it a shot. I took my niece later one Sunday afternoon, hoping to avoid the after-church lunch crowd. I needn't have worried. We walked in to a nearly empty dining room, and saw several servers standing around the bar, chatting and ignoring us. One server was even SITTING AT THE BAR in uniform, which was always a big no-no when I worked in the food industry through college. After speaking up to draw attention to ourselves, one employee turned her head the whole 15 degrees needed to look at us, and asked "oh, are y'all waiting to be seated?" I didn't say what I was thinking, which was "no, we are waiting to be GREETED." Without an apology, or much other verbiage at all, she marked off a table on the hostess stand, picked up two menus, and said "Follow me." I asked if we were going to be seated in a booth, which given the lack if patrons, I wouldn't think would be an issue, and I was met with a heavy sigh. I apologized and let her know that I was disabled, which i resented having to tell her. No response - she didn't even look at me! She simply marked off another table on her graph, and turned and began walking without another word. I was so humiliated and hurt and FURIOUS. We were seated and given menus. Our server, Dylan, was a little slow getting to us, but nothing terrible. We ordered a spinach dip for an appetizer. Not only was it not even anywhere close to "hot," it was bland and flavorless. Dylan saw that we each had maybe two bites and never said a word about it. For my meal, I ordered a loaded potato and the garden bar. My niece ordered some sort of smothered chicken. Of course my potato came out well before my niece's' meal, which is totally avoidable. My niece encouraged me to eat before my potato got cold, but that was too late. The potato had not even been heated enough to melt the butter on it. I asked Dylan to please microwave it, but it came back out no warmer than before. My niece's food finally arrived, and it looked like a prison dinner. Imagine taking a skinny chicken breast, one slice of tomato, and one slice of cheese, stacking them up and microwaving them to room temperature and garnishing the plate with NOTHING. That plate was so naked and bare and unappetizing. Around this time, I started looking for the Punk'd crew, or that guy that does that "What Would You Do" segment. Like, "What Would You Do if you had abysmal service, cold appetizers and prison food?" We also had to ask for silverware when our food came. The lady (I believe one of the hostesses) said they were "out of silverware" and that she would get us some. This just means she needed to get some clean silver and roll it into the napkin. Now, I know it's a pain in the butt to roll silverware all day. When that was my sidework 20 years ago, it was so darn boring. BUT - the restaurant is EMPTY, you're standing around TALKING, you are completely IGNORING people - HOW IN THE HELL IS THERE NO SILVER ROLLED? I mentioned it to Dylan and his response - I swear to God - was "I just work here." Do you? Do you really? Because I don't see ANYONE working here. Around this time, I hit the "Endless Garden Bar." What a joke! The draw of something like that, for me, is a lot of fresh and different veggies tha I don't have at home. This selection of veggies was no different than the salad bar at Pizza Hut or Cici's. The bar was only about 10-12' long, pushed up against a wall, so you couldn't go around to reach items on the other side across from you. This leads to people leaning into the salad bar, underneath the glass, which is unsanitary; and dropping items into the containers with other items - olives in the tomatoes, pasta salad covered in mayonnaise dropped into the carrots, etc. The worst part was the salad dressings. They dripped into each other, and some of the ladles were missing labels, so the salad dressing was a guessing game. Such a letdown. In addition to crappy service and dog food, throughout our meal, there was a large argument going on between servers and the kitchen, and the servers would stand out front talking and swearing about the kitchen, and every time one of them went into the kitchen, we could hear yelling. The atmosphere was certainly lacking. When Dylan came to bring the check, it should have been obvious by quantity of the uneaten food still on the table that we were unsatisfied with our meals, but he said nothing. We paid and left, swearing to never return. I'm so disappointed in how far this restaurant has declined. How sad. No wonder the place were empty. read more
