For dinner I had the Roadhouse Churasco. My flat iron steak was perfect temperature and it was surprisingly tender. The churasco sauce was fabulous too. My loaded mashed potatoes with bacon bits were excellent as well and the bed of rice the steak comes on was so flavorful. My broccoli and carrots were over cooked and dry, however. The highlight of the meal was easily the rolls; they are obviously the best thing on the menu, and the honey butter is incredible. From a value standpoint, the prices are very reasonable, the timing was great, and the food came out quickly. However, the food quality itself fell short of what I remembered. Cons The Peanuts: I saw the bucket for peanuts but didn't see any peanuts, nor were they offered. Lack of Communication: The front desk host didn't explain the seating process or what "on deck" meant. Overly Salty Chicken: The Chicken Fried Chicken was overly salty and tasted like it was dropped straight from a frozen package into a fryer, rather than made fresh. Overcooked Steak: The steak was ordered medium but served almost well-done and dried out, giving the impression it had been sitting on a warming pad for a while rather than being cooked to order. The lady at the order window was very nice and I agreed to wait. Drove around to the pay window and the young man there again explained the wait, during his explanation a lady, I guess a manager, wedged him out of the way and harshly told me that I needed to pay her and move my truck to Pump 6 and wait for my food there. During the next 15-20 minutes 30-40 cars got their food and drove off. Since it was breakfast time of day and most of your menu is biscuit related I can not understand how every one of those customers were served while I waited. Not a one of them were asked to wait. When the lady with bright red hair brought my food out, she handed it to me with a scowl and walked off. Food was correct, but cold like it had been sitting for a while and no accessory items for the biscuits and gravy or the breakfast in a cup.

The employees here did their best to make sure it was a non-special experience. After I ordered at the kiosk, no one would even look at me--absolutely no eye contact! A tall white guy with curly black hair totally ignored me. A big black guy calls out my name "John?" Then he shoves a bag in my face. No "Thank you" No "Have a good day." Nothing. Just "John?" Bag shove. I'm guessing they treat their employees really terribly and/or pay them poorly if they treat customers so badly. They made me feel like it was a bother for me to be there. Like less than human. When I took time to fill out customer service survey online and hit Submit it bounced back. "Page Not Found." That's unacceptable. Finally, I called McDonald's and the guy on the phone was great--the singular one positive McDonald's experience I had. He took time to listen. Said he would tell somebody the problem. That helped. Hopefully, they'll start treating employees well and training them properly. They can take a lesson from any Chick-fil-A or Wendys on Oak Street.
