I can't say enough about Waffle'n Joe. The waffles are amazing, I get the bananas foster. The fresh brewed coffee is so good. They roast the beans then work the magic. I drove 45 minutes after missing the truck on First Fridays In Havre de Grace (I was actually enjoying other foods and saving them for last but they closed early). So finally made it to the State Line. Absolutely worth it!!! I had the chicken salad and then the Foster along with the iced espresso. Enjoyed every bite. I was concerned the waffle would get soggy but it didn't. It stayed crisp to the last bite. Loved it. Recommend you find the truck when it's near you (or just find it). read more

I'd first like to say a hugeeee THANK YOU to Waffle n' Joe b/c today (Mon 3/30/2020) they are "closed" BUT they were here at my hospital giving coffee and waffles out to us health care providers at no cost. I will say on behalf of everyone who received coffee and a delicious waffle from you guys WE are grateful for YOUR generosity during this time. Ok, on to the deliciousness: I got a coffee and a liege waffle topped with salted caramel & chocolate sauce and whipped cream! It was amazing! Good portion size and so filling. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Joe and Sue who own the business are the most phenomenal, friendly humans. Amazing service every time. Even if the food wasn't 10 stars worthy, I'd come to this food truck just to talk with them because they are so personable! But the food IS 10 stars worthy, and this is why ... I've traveled the world, had authentic Belgian waffles in Brussels, and never have I ever found waffles like the ones here. I'm not even really a waffle person if I'm being honest, but Waffle 'n Joe has converted me. Their sweet (not savory) waffles are just the perfect amount of sweet; I haven't had any of their waffles with the extra toppings/sauce because they are delicious just as they are, and I truly think that adding or taking anything away would be like ruining perfection. Their savory waffles though, hits different. I had it this past weekend (site note: thank GOD this place is considered an essential business during COVID times, because they have helped keep me sane) with the kimchi and 1) I'm honestly shocked in the best possible way that two older white people can create such authentic-tasting kimchi; and 2) I want to go back now and try every single item on their savory waffles menu. Just brilliant. I could write another review in itself for the beverages alone; but I'll say that the chai is not like your typical Starbucks chai. If you're looking for a drink with rich flavor, exotic spices, that can transport you to another country in seconds--this is it. But if you prefer the basic, creamy, Dunkin milky chai (which I also like a lot) you won't find it here. Last time I went, I had their iced latte with their homemade Belgium chocolate mocha sauce. Everything about this place is perfection. Even the two ladies who work there--Stephanie and Alex--they are super cute! ;) I'll end with this: if it's any testimony to how phenomenal the waffles are, after I ate my kimchi waffle, I went back and ordered 5 more plain, sweet ones that I took to-go and have stored in my freezer as I type. Food is delicious! Got the turkey and peppers thoroughly enjoyed! Kids got the sweet waffle, husband got a caffeinated drink- all were satisfied! Only knocked off one star Bc even though they wear gloves, they touch everything w the gloves, credit cards, waking outside the truck- gloves still on- it mitigates the safety of the gloves if they are not taken off for non food related tasks. Love this place. Their lunch waffle creations are delicious (favorite is the muffelatta...I have dreams of their olive relish). I usually just get the plain waffles as they are delicious by themselves but the dessert creations also look amazing. Their espresso is the best I have found...not as chocolatey as others, taste more fresh and vibrant and never bitter. Best liege waffles around. Great selection of toppings and specials. Owners are always friendly. Make a mean cup of coffee! Beans are fresh ground for each cup. They have a nice variety of coffee as well as their house blend. They also make "J cups" which are for single serve coffee makers. Like the cofc they are also freshly produced. The waffles are very delicious. They are filling and a bit sweet. You have plenty of options no matter what though if you don't want to eat a waffle in the typical breakfast fashion. You can get dessert waffles, sandwiches, and coffee of a huge variety. read more

Great service and always great food. The iced chai tea is a little bit weak and disappointing, but others have said the coffee is very good. I love waffles. But until today, I never knew how good waffles could be. I wanted to start the new year with a waffle feast fit for a king. I was just about ready to hop in the car and head to a chain place with "waffle" in their name. Up till this point, that place was my benchmark for good waffles. But not anymore. From now on it's Waffle 'n Joe or nothing. I tried a regular waffle, called a "Liege", a waffle breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and pork sausage and a waffle with gravy and chicken sausage. Everyone of them was grandslam-home run-touch down-hat trick-field goal-hole in one (I'm out of sports terms). The plain liege was dense, crunchy and sweet enough that it didn't need syrup. The 2 savory waffle dishes were fan-damn-tactic. I also got a chai latte. It was much more subtle and less sweet than what I was used to. At first I thought I didn't really dig it but then I noticed all the subtle flavors of the spices. It grew on me. The waffles alone were so good that they could have given me a cup of luke warm dishwater and I'd have still given them 5 stars. Nice people, too. Very helpful. read more

I got the Triple Berry Waffle & Iced Chai Tea. The berries were locally grown & delicious, the ice cream that came with it was to die for, & the berry syrup was the best I have ever had. I went at 1:00pm & the Waffle didn't exactly taste fresh & was a bit hard to cut into. I'd love to go in the morning & pick up a fresh one. The chai was fantastic but I would recommend holding off until fall / winter months, I ordered during the summer & wasn't quite ready for the cinnamon taste (poor decision on my part).
