We decided to try Pearl of the Antilles takeout for a date night since it had recently opened. The…read morefood was solid, and the owner's hospitality stood out. Overall Ratings: Restaurant: (3/5) Service: (5/5) Food: (4/5) Parking: Free parking lot Atmosphere: A typical takeout spot with a few tables for those who choose to dine in--nothing particularly remarkable. Service: The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, which my girlfriend especially appreciated. Their hospitality was a highlight of our experience. Food: We ordered: - Jerk Chicken - Flavorful but slightly dry - Creole Stew Chicken - Delicious - Sides (Rice & Beans, Steamed Cabbage with Carrots) - Absolutely delicious and complemented the entrées well - Spicy Slaw - Great flavor with a nice kick, but the portion was surprisingly small (served in a tiny sauce container) If ordering outside of DoorDash or other platforms, the side dish options can be unclear. Not all sides are included with meals, and some require an extra charge, which could be better communicated. Final Thoughts: Good food, excellent service, and a place we'd happily return to!

I came in right at 12:00 when they were open to get lunch. The doors were still locked so I placed an order over the phone and it took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. They have a $12 lunch special where you can choose between jerk chicken or creole stew chicken, two sides and a can of soda. I tried the jerk chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and the rice and peas offset the spice from the chicken. I also got a side of plantains. They had a nice flavor and crunch. Don't expect fast service everything is made to order so give yourself some time if you decide to order .

Service was decent. Our Saturday night (July 26) waiter was polite and professional. Not sure of…read morehis name tbh. The bottle graveyard they keep is interesting lol. They have a lot of interesting-sounding offerings but today i kept it simple with the steak frites with chimichurri entree. It wasn't hot. For a nice clean, plain dish i didn't hate it. It wasn't a fabulous steak tho. But it was fine. Honestly for the price it was a good basic item i shouldn't really complain. The fries were seasoned well but the bland steak juice dripping onto them, of which there was a lot, was making them unpleasant. The special tonight sounded really good I have a feeling that item would've been to a higher standard. My date liked her veg options. Next visit we'll try the cordero and the papas bravas

Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time and it was freshly prepared. Everything I had was so delicious, I certainly have to go back to try some other things. My daughter and I started with a pitcher of red sangria which was the best I've ever had. Our food was Gambas Al Ajillo (sautéed shrimp), Ragut de Setas (sautéed mushrooms) and a board (I don't remember the name) which contained fried cheese, chicken strips, fried pork chunks, empanadas and more. We had plenty to take home! The atmosphere was nice. I really liked the booths.
