I'm from the south, so I'm used to.... Hospitality. We have Waffle House, which I had hoped this place would be similar to. I walked in and waited five minutes to have the people behind me greeted. They politely let the host know I was there first. No apology just had me sit at the bar. My waitress said nothing to me besides "know what you want?" I ordered, thanked her. And the only other two things she said to me was "want ketchup? Need a box?" It was insane. The eggs were decent, the hashbrowns were pretty mushy, and the bacon was not crispy. I left it all on the plate, paid my tab, and the staff said nothing. Pretty sad experience when you're looking forward to a good breakfast.

A local breakfast place not to be skipped, very clean with a great greasy spoon vibe. Expect a little wait as it is very popular and bring your appetite portions are huge :)

Small town, local restaurant with real food. Service was great. Best thing was the atmosphere, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Strongly recommend the coconut cream pie waffles.

Amazing cafe as the name suggests! The food is delicious and well prepared. Good service and a cozy ambience for a Sunday brunch or lunch. We had the cheesecake waffle half portion, biscuits and gravy with sausages and poached egg, Egg Florentine and Fajita Omelette. I generally never indulge myself in waffles or pancakes but I did here! And the cheesecake raspberry waffles were top notch! There is plenty of parking space available. The cafe is open from 6am till 2pm afternoon, there is a slight waiting so better to show up beforehand. The menu card photos on Yelp are old, the rates have changed.

Our last day in town came up from California for mutual aid to assist Avista gas outage and came here for breakfast, this is the spot for breakfast. I wish I knew about this place I would of came here every day everything on the menu was good but not enough time to try. My team and I came here and was immediately sat down and was taken care of a staff was very helpful and nice the. But the salmon Benedict is a must, so tasty and the chili was a hit were my favorites. A must eat when in Lewiston

This was one of the best breakfast places I've ever eaten at - and it was one of the best breakfast places I've ever eaten at twice and had just as good of an experience both times. The waffles were amazing, and we stuck with the basics. But you could have had all types of waffles and I'm sure they would have been good. Once nice menu option was the ability to order half a waffle. Get the stuff you want without feeling stuffed!!! Who does that? They do. Staff is great here and both times we went, the line was out the door. No wonder. This is an amazing meal. (They even have Tabasco handy, which for a Texan is truly special.)

This restaurant was amazing! Huge portions, everything we ate was delicious, and the service was wonderful. It was packed on a Monday morning so safe to say it's a local favorite! Great for families and visitors alike :)

I ordered a fruit cup and a green tea, and my coworker also got a fruit cup along with a coffee. The green tea was good, and everything was served quickly. Our waitress was friendly and provided great service. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the café.. there were lots of cool decorations and unique things to look at on the walls that gave the place a fun vibe. Overall, it was a great spot for a quick breakfast before work. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Mystic Café if you're looking for a nice breakfast spot with good service and a welcoming atmosphere!

It's located in downtown Lewiston and one of the nicest buildings in town. From the moment we walked in the door, this place oozed charm. There was a gentleman playing the piano, dressed in old-timey garb. His greeted us with a wide and sincere smile. We walked through several rooms packed with people and decorations and sat in a side room with a bar and near a bright-as-the-sun stained glass window. The lunch and dinner menu was quite expansive, starting with salads and sandwiches and ending with steak and seafood options. I ordered a Caesar salad with smoked salmon and my son ordered the Cuban sandwich. While waiting for our meals to arrive, we toured the other rooms and marveled the eclectic decorations. In the main dining room, there was a large mountain lion preying over the patrons. Each room and wall had different but interesting decor, like they have someone picking out the neatest items and centralizing them here. The food came and unfortunately it wasn't quite up to the standard I now anticipated. The smoked salmon was tasty and plentiful on my salad, but it lacked dressing and enough lettuce to get a good balance. My son's Cuban didn't come on Cuban bread or a pressed bread, but a standard thick baguette, which we both found odd. He said it was too much bread and dwarfed the pork, ham and cheese; quite disappointing. However, the French fries were bountiful and good. Overall, this was a fun place to eat and they likely have some tasty options, but we chose poorly for our maiden visit. Will definitely try this place again if in the area.

The difference here was that the eggs (over easy in my case) were cooked perfectly. The sausage patties were exceptionally well prepared, and some of the best I've had in recent memory. The potatoes were seasoned well, crispy on the outside, and pillowy soft on the inside. The biscuit was good too...obviously home made. My spouse's order was slightly different, with bacon and a waffle, but according to her review, it was equally well done. It was obvious that the staff loved what they're doing. The food was great, the service prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere leaned toward the charming side. It was simply a really good experience all the way around.

We indicated that we were not, and would like to be moved. She left to check (?) only to return to advise that the televisions were all on the same remote. Others in the party dismissed it as an issue and decided to order. Management needs to take note and train hosts to ask which environment is preferred. There are too many neurodivergent people who can't handle the chaos, yet want to enjoy a nice meal. End rant. Meals were good all around, though my breaded steak bites were very salty and the au jus only added to my sodium intake. Great portions and flavor. Fresh herbs grown in a planter outside the front door. I'd gladly give 4 stars were it not for the noise and lack of consideration.

As a solo diner, I opted to sit at the bar. Service was just ok, they weren't really attentive, which was surprising since I was at the bar... But the food was not one to write about. First I was served the house bread with garlic butter - which was the best thing I had. For my entree, I ordered the Braised beef Pappardelle which comes with a house salad. I can only say I'm glad I filled up on the bread, as I was served an entree with burnt onions and mushrooms. I had to pick at the meal to make sure I didn't get any burnt items. I will say, I did not mention this to the staff, at this point I didn't think it was necessary as there was enough to feed 2 people. Anyway, I don't think I will return when I'm in the area...
