I am pleased with the level of expertise and though sometimes delays can be expected, they make every attempt to get done on time, or in my case early! My car is happier, too.

I dropped my jeep wrangler at Village Auto Care at University Village after it died on the road…read moreabout a month ago. They quickly diagnosed it as a fuel pump issue, and replace the fuel pump at a cost of $2,100. They were very friendly, but I did think the pricing for such a job was very high. The average cost for a fuel pump replacement is $1000. I paid it anyway. A few days later my vehicle died again on the road. I had it towed back to Village Auto Care. The manager called me and told me that the fuel pump they had replaced was a faulty part, it would need to be replaced again, but that it is under warranty. A couple of days later I hadn't heard anything, called them, and the manager told me they had ordered the part, but it hadn't come in. A couple of more days passed, I called, same story. A few more days pass, and they told me the part was ordered via UPS and probably lost in the mail. This went on for two weeks - a back and forth, and story about the supplier losing the part. I am unsure why the $50-$100 part wasn't reordered much sooner from a different supplier who would surely either have it on hand, or be able to source it in a day or two. Fast forward a total of 2 1/2 weeks since my vehicle was towed there (the second time), they finally get the part in (from a different supplier?) and fix the jeep. I asked for - at least - a partial refund because I know they have to pay their guys, but was told that was not a possibility. It is lost on me that any reputable business wouldn't at least think that a partial refund is necessary in this case. After almost a month of this deal - breaking down after they first repaired it, having to return due to a faulty part, taking 2 1/2 weeks to source a new part, and after paying $2100 in the first place - on a Jeep, a very common vehicle with parts that are easily accessible anywhere in the country. You can probably imagine the impact the loss of transportation to work for 2 1/2 weeks had on someone. It made life pretty difficult. I understand things happen, but in my opinion this situation warranted some accountability and meeting in the middle.

I didn't leave a review at that time as I thought I'll never go back there...so what's the point. Their annoying software kept prompting me for a review so here it is! I had brought my car in twice before for a oil change and some other small thing and noticed right away there was a pattern of up-selling. One bill was estimated lower but when I got it, it had doubled. This time around I think they were looking at my brakes. I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for them to finish and the front desk guy, (his name is Irish), started talking to me. By the way I'm a woman. He talked and talked and I was being kind listening but hoped the repair would finish soon so I could end the conversation. He was making sure I knew he was conservative for some reason. I suspected it was because I had a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker on my car. He then told me he had a son who was a Federal police agent of some sort, and how he was walking down the street wearing a Trump hat and a man came up and knocked it off his head. He detailed with relish how his son threw the guy to the ground, beat him up, handcuffed him and sent him away to jail for 9 years...just for knocking a hat off his head. What a douche! Both he and his son! I couldn't just get up and leave as they still had my car and were working on it. I had to sit there and try to deal with this jerk nicely until I got my car back. This creep needs to be fired! Do they not know they work in a blue city in a university district no less? Don't ever take your car here. There are many other options in town. I was new to the city and didn't know who to go to at the time. Adrian Sherman
