This was my second visit. My first experience was perfect, so I was very disappointed this time. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different. The meat was tough, and the service was extremely slow. The meats came to our table very infrequently, and we spent a lot of time waiting. The sushi was also very disappointing and nowhere near the quality I experienced during my first visit. I'm not sure what has changed since my last visit, but the overall quality and service have gone downhill significantly. She still gave us excellent service but I felt bad she had to do everything! I always take out of town people here. Not just because it's close to my house but there's options for everybody. Tasty marinaded meat? Yes. Vegetable dishes? Yep. Fries and chicken karage for the less adventurous eater! Quality is consistently good and overall a great choice. We visited this place with the family. The store is smaller than the other chubby restaurants but it was intimate for the family to cook up some wagyu. Our server Gia was friendly and helped us cook up some of the dishes we ordered. There is a 3min cool down for ordering more food. We polished off lots of meat and rice. This place was decent. It's my first time at a place that serves all you can eat Wagyu beef. We made a reservation for a weeknight and they were able to accommodate our party of 7. Our waitress explained the menu to us, but that was about it. We didn't really hear from them again and had questions, but gave up halfway through the meal. The food was decent. It reminds me of Korean bbq, but with Wagyu beef. I also got a Wagyu slider, which was okay, but stick to the meat so you don't fill up on carbs. The inside does feel as but cramped, but the night we went had no big crowds and no long waits. I don't mind trying this again, but I'm told chubby cattle is better so I'll have to try chubby cattle before I decide which of the two is better. read more

Had the best experience at Wagyu Factory. We opted for the select menu with member discount on Thursday night after son's promotion ceremony to celebrate as my boys love Wagyu. my friends and i stopped by here on a sunday evening because we were craving beef, and we had an overall pretty good and gluttonous experience at this location! we waited about 40 minutes to get seated because there were only about 2-3 waiters running around and tending to all the tables. you order everything through a tablet here rather than self serve like the other locations, so there is a bit of a wait from the waiters bringing out the dishes. shoutout to our server talia for being so quick and attentive for our party of 4 ordering so many things! since it was a weekend, we got the premium menu by default and were able to try out most of the dishes! aside from all the endless wagyu, we also tried the other dishes like sashimi and hand rolls. the fish were all surprisingly super fresh and yummy, and i was enjoying these as much as the beef! speaking of the beef, we ordered SO much wagyu that we ended up feeling sick from how fatty the meat was LOL but it was all very good quality meat. the only thing i really did not enjoy from here was the egg tart, which came out cold and soggy and the custard tasted more like scrambled egg. would not get that again, but would come back for the meats! read more

Second visit to Wagyu Factory was just as amazing as the first! We recently went to a super fancy AYCE Wagyu in NYC (where it was 3x the price) and the meat here is pretty darn close! I could eat their Wagyu short rib and top blade all day! The service was quick and we rarely waited for our orders (Shout-out to Jayden on 08/21 for truly exceptional service and a pleasant demeanor). Also I love how this spot is so much smaller than other locations, doesn't feel overwhelming. My only thing is that their sliders and egg tarts aren't as good as Wagyu Factory (Shabu) in Tustin and you can skip the crab meat. So-cal is saturated with AYCE Kbbq, so it's refreshing to have a spot who truly does premium meat. read more

Wagyu Factory is a high end AYCE wagyu BBQ spot and is part of the Chubby Cattle group of restaurants. This location is similar to how a Korean BBQ place operates. Ordering is done strictly through an IPad or communicated to one's server. One is allowed to order 6 items at a time, and then must wait 3 minutes before ordering any more. They have 2 menu options: Select ($50 - limited meat options and only available on weekday lunches) and Premium ($70). Premium Wagyu ($70) - This option included quite a few cuts of M9 beef (Australia's highest standard, and options included ribeye, short rib, wagyu steak, top blade). However the best beef options were the A5 wagyu brisket and A5 wagyu ootoro. Both were extremely thin and had so much flavor and I would recommend getting those exclusively! It only took 2 seconds for these cuts to cook on the grill on each side. There were veggie options to choose from including salads, edamame, kimchi, zucchini, potato, mushrooms, etc. Other items included: sashimi, suchi, handrolls, takoyaki, calamari, chicken kaarage, shrimp tempura, dumplings, and so much more. For dessert their matcha ice cream was excellent as well as their egg custard tarts. Overall service was outstanding here, and the quality of items and options were great! This is probably the best Chubby Cattle restaurant I have tried. Pricing is fair for the quality of meats and options that they offer. read more

Absolutely love the food here! The tablet makes it so easy to order more meats, sides, and drinks without having to chase down someone. High quality meats without a doubt. If you're unsure of how to prepare the meat, someone will help you figure it out. Sides are tasty but can be filling. On the expensive side but you won't regret the AYCE meat for the price. I do think the ventilation has been great each time I've been. There are no windows in the seating area, quite dark with the lighting, and music can make the place loud. The atmosphere of the place is really cool with tons of thematic decorations, and a wide variety of things you can order. The server, Talia, was also super kinda and accommodating throughout the experience. She was always on it with water refills and checked in when needed - grill changes and orders came fast as well. While the meat was good quality and delicious, with so much wagyu on the menu it can definitely get really heavy. Even when trying to pair it with other sides, it was hard to eat a lot. It's tasty but the end stretch becomes harder as you try to get your value out of the Ayce (especially cause it's pricy). I think wagyu factory is one of my favorite chubby establishments after going to most of them. The best cuts here are definitely the Wagyu steak, prime tongue, brisket and beef toro with a shoutout to miso marinated skirt steak. One of my favorite things is the grill top crisps the beef up very evenly and nicely. You'll get a solid crust here on your meats, which isn't always the case at other bbq joints. Everything here is lightly marinated so the sauce burns on the grills, but they replace grills very quickly and often throughout your meal. I think it's more casual than chubby cattle which is nice and although it doesn't have the super high end stuff, I don't really need it. The only standout item is the M9 Wagyu short rib -- that one is genuinely good. Unfortunately, every other meat we tried was mediocre at best and overly seasoned. We ordered brisket and toro and specifically requested no seasoning, but the cuts were strange: not Korean-style thin, not thick either -- just awkwardly cut, which affected both texture and grilling. Another big issue: the grill was extremely dirty. It looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned between tables, which is pretty unacceptable for a BBQ place. They seriously need to step up their table and grill sanitation. Service is where things really fall apart. They are severely understaffed, and even when the restaurant is nearly empty, it takes forever to get seated. First visit: waited 15 minutes after being told it would be 5 minutes, then left. Second visit: had a reservation and still didn't get seated until 10 minutes past the reservation time. Once seated, ordering and receiving food is painfully slow. The manager is a huge problem. He has a bad attitude and acts like customers are inconveniencing him just by asking for service. On my first visit, I asked for a menu and said we were ready to order. He responded with, "Oh, place order on iPad, ok..." -- except there was no iPad on the table. Don't assume every customer magically knows your system, and definitely don't give attitude about it. Honestly, if this place weren't part of the Chubby Cattle group, I would never come back. The membership/NFT pricing is the only reason it's even remotely worth considering. Or maybe that was my mistake in going thinking it was a Korean bbq place. They seem confused on what kind of restaurant they want to be. They also bring one piece of meat at a time so for a pork belly they bring you one piece that's thin and about 4-5 inches long. The mushrooms were my favorite if that says anything.
