    Pork lo mein

They don't have a house lo mein so wife ordered a pork lo mein for me. Bland, really average is pushing it. The other Chinese restaurant in Sunbury is far superior, larger portions and flavorful, everything this place isn't.

This is the first time that we decided to try this restaurant because we like to visit locally owned places as they tend to have the best food, in my opinion. I had such high hopes for this place, given the reviews and the long term patrons that seem to frequent the establishment, But alas, I was disappointed. My food was all beige, the flavor was lackluster, I mean seriously this is something that I could have prepared in my own kitchen (actually, it would have been better) the green peppers would've been crispier and more colorful the onions would've been crunchier and more flavorful and the steak would not have been over cooked and slathered in a overly sweet sauce. Our experience may not have been the greatest with this local eatery, but perhaps you will find something on the menu that satisfies your taste. I am giving this restaurant one star, because the eggroll was just OK. Support your local businesses, always!

The food has gone downhill, the owner Bobby yells and screams at employees in mandarin this place just looks dirty and wore out

Chicken with double mushroom. Be prepared to shower this in soy sauce to add any flavor

I arrived at noon and the parking lot was already pretty full for this very unassuming Chinese…read morerestaurant from the outside. There is plenty of free parking which is nice. When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

Great Asian Restaurant? I'd say so!…read more Here's 5 reasons for my 5 stars... * It's Asian Fusion - There's a wide range of American-Chinese,Thai, and House Created dishes... * There's a relaxing upscale casual ambiance. * They have a full service bar * Excellent service * High quality, flavorful food. I was pleased with Mark K and my first visit. It's in a small strip mall, but It's a lot nicer than what you would normally expect to find.. Mark got: Southern Style Egg Rolls - Very Tex-Mex. Good, filling, and not too spicy. Beef Pad Thai - Decent, but not mind-blowing. Could use more scrambled eggs and bean sprouts. I got: Hot And Sour Soup - Quite good with a nice smokey flavor. General Tso's Chicken - It's as good as it gets, folks, meaning it's a rival to my favorite at China Bell in Grove City. The sauce is excellent! The chunks of white chicken meat are just lightly breaded enough to hold the sauce but not overpower the dish. I'd say it's a 95% chicken to 5% breading ratio. And they still serve it with broccoli. Outstanding! I'd go back again to do some more exploring in a heartbeat. Like I said, 5 stars.

I'll start with what was good: the Mei fun, takoyaki, and the (delicious) egg roll. What lacked for me were the soups and the sesame chicken. I can see many people loving the sesame chicken, but I like mine drenched in sauce, and this felt like a healthier version with a glazed grilled chicken taste. I am also not the biggest fan of Asian soups but I always try them in case I find one that changes my mind. People may love the soups as well.

You know how it is most of the time you walking into the Chinese restaurant, the front host or server always sounded like they want to fight you. lol Not being raciest, you know is true Anyway, I like how they have two menus, one is the American Chinese version, and the other one is the Chinese, Chinese version. Of course I'm going for the Chinese version, I ordered the 3 cups chicken, this is actually a very popular dish in the Asian countries, easy to make too. The portion is big, I ate 2 bowls of white rice, is good, I give it 6 out of 10 Even tho this is the Chinese, Chinese dish, but it was too sweet, the cook put too much sugar in it, also the chicken don't have bones in it, in my opinion is still making it as Chinese dish but American way, I guess American don't like Chicken with bones in it? Well...KFC chicken have bones in it. lol White people know how to spilt out the chicken bones! Make it as the traditional 3 cups chicken Overall, 4 stars
