Outside of that is the largest collection of quarter slot rides that I know of. They accept card payment or lets your kids pretend and don't pay to turn them on at all. Then there's a train ride and rideable animals for a fee. In Scheels they have a beautiful aquarium, a fun shooting range for a small fee and a ferris wheel that's only $1 per rider. Then upstairs they have a nice food court with clean restrooms and a variety of food options. I wish all malls were like this.

I wasn't even planning on going to the mall, but it was worth the trip. What really surprised me was Scheels. The size of it is impressive, but the fact they had a real aquarium and a Ferris wheel?! That's a whole other level! It's cool to see a store go above and beyond with entertainment and attractions. I also loved how the staff were very helpful pointing me in the right direction. I didn't shop at any of the other stores so I can't comment on those, but overall it was nice. It was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. If you need to get out of the house, stretch your legs and be surprised by a unique shopping experience, Eden Prairie Center is a must visit. Scheels alone is worth the trip! Win for a fun unexpected outing.

What do you do when you can't decide where to go for dinner?…read more You go to @malcolmyardsmarket in Minneapolis (nestled close to Roseville just off of University and 280) This is such a different experience where you have so many options to order from with major ease. Check in and get a Market Card then walk around to find what sounds good. I've always thought this is the perfect place to go when you... -can't figure out what you want to eat -when you're meeting up with friends or coworkers -going on a first date -want adult food but also have a kiddo along. The Market has a beer wall, a full bar and multiple food vendors to order from. Over time new vendors take residence of the spots though there are some that have been around a long time. It's fun to get favorites and try new things. I'd suggest you go with the mindset to try different things and share with who you're with to find your favorites. They also have many areas to grab a seat and visit inside and outside. As well as special event space to rent. There is often activities at the Market so make sure to check them out if you're looking for more than a meal. Malcolm Yards review 080226…read moreBrunch Malcolm Yards is a fun place to get different kinds of food. It has a cool industrial vibe. You have to get a card when you enter which you use to scan & pay for your order. We haven't gone in a while and there were a few changes. We loved Abang Yoli's charred cauliflower and we're so sad that it's no longer there. We also like the dosa from Momo Dosa that's no longer there. We ordered from different places: * Kinsley's - pastrami Reuben - pretty good for Minneapolis but nothing like a NYC meat sandwich * Del Sur - choripan, beef & chorizo empanadas * Wrecktangle - Splinter pizza to go - it had everything we wanted on a pizza, really crispy & tasty * Eggflip - cool guy bacon - my husband says it's the best breakfast sandwich he's ever had * Saturday Dumpling - pork & cabbage pan fried dumplings were a bit smaller than expected but tasted fine; scallion pancake chips were amazing, we had it with the Szechuan cream cheese dip, so good * World Street Kitchen - tofu yum yum rice bowl was good as expected; also ordered the caramelized Brussels sprouts - they didn't tell us until we were picking up the order that they were out of the fish sauce dressing. We tried it, but it didn't taste like nothing so we asked them if they had any other sauce that we could put on it and they said there was none so we unfortunately had to ask for a refund. We offered to return it, but they said it was ours so we took it home and it's still in the fridge days later untouched. * Bebe zito - had olive oil & another ice cream - very good and creamy

Hence why my family decided to host my stepmom's 80th birthday party in the Prince Lounge at Eat Street Crossing last week. From the moment I reached out to schedule the party, Shane, the GM, was very responsive and accommodating and provided all the info and options to make this a truly memorable occasion. On the night, the room was fantastic, our bartender, Patrick, was superb, the staff met every need and request with a smile. We chose a variety of items from the various vendors and all the food was fantastic. Our guests were bowled over by how wonderful everything was. I cannot recommend Eat Street Crossing highly enough and with the weather improving the patio will be open! Heading back again tomorrow for 'date night'. I LOVE that they change their menu around and have themes, that's always super fun. However, the matcha martini I had was a miss. It didn't taste bad but it didn't taste anything like matcha. Too creamy In my opinion but definitely would be up other peoples alleys. I have also gotten cocktails before that I was pretty eh on. I wish they had more vodka/gin drinks!

As for service here the various food stalls are a bit hit or miss when it comes to service as well. Some are friendly some are a bit rude. The bartenders have always been nice and friendly. Also note the parking around this area is street parking or parking garages which during events (especially twins games) can be busy. Overall I just think this is a good place to meet up with friends for some drinks and enjoy the roof top or outdoor space.

There's no longer a shortage of recognizable brand-name stores, which makes it feel more like a true shopping destination again. There is a mix of luxury stores and every-day shopping which brings good value. That said, there are still a few odd, lesser-known shops scattered throughout with inconsistent or unusual hours, which can be a little confusing. The food options are decent. The traditional food court is a bit of a letdown, but there are better standalone options throughout the mall like Rustica Bakery, Pezzo Pizza, Yumi Sushi, People's Organic, and others. Having Kowalski's grocery store on-site is also a big plus and adds convenience. Entertainment-wise, there's more to do now with options like an escape room and Dave & Buster's. The mall is spacious, never feels overly crowded, and has plenty of parking, which makes it easy and stress-free to visit. Overall, the updates are a very welcome change. Southdale feels revitalized, easier to navigate, and much more enjoyable than it was a few years ago.

FYI, the Skyway has set operating hours and does close. Parking here is simple. You can park in the connected commercial parking garage, or find a spot in one of the nearby commercial lots or metered street parking. The Center has security roving and is very clean and hip. I will admit that it does not have many retailers or restaurants though. You will find a GNC, Marshals, a UPS Store, Cardigan Donuts, the Salad Bar, City Market, Fogo de Chao, Naf Naf Grill and Starbucks. There is a lot of space available in the Center. This is not a very exciting or thrilling place and it does not have a lot going on. It is really clean and connects you to a lot of downtown attractions, without having to go outside much, which is valuable during the harsh Minnesota winters. I was staying at one of the connected hotels, so I found this spot convenient and pretty cool that I could stay inside and get to places. However, outside of staying there, the place does not have much value and if I was not at the connected hotel, I probably would not have visited.
