First time here. I can because I'm a 90's kid and we'll...NKOTB. We came at on off time so it was dead and we ordered and got our food really fast. I got the Our Burger cuz it seemed like the smallest burger. Most of them come with two 1/4 pound Pattie's which felt like it might be too much for me. The burger was tasty and well cooked. I appreciated that they had options for my side that were not an up charge. I like the ambiance and I can see how this place would be fun during peak hours. Kinda weird that I had to go into the grocery store to order, but overall it was a good experience. Nothing special but fun and I would probably come again next time I am in town. read more

This location is unfortunately understaffed. I ordered the fish sandwich and tots at the register outside the the restaurant. We didn't have any waitstaff assigned to our table. Our food was delivered by the cook and it came out of the fryer so dark there was no tater in the tots (empty in the middle) and the fish was nearly black. I went to the bar and asked for a replacement but 30 min later it hadn't arrived and no employees had even passed our table to check on us. I left the restaurant and asked for a refund which I got without issue at the Hy-Vee customer service desk. The 2 stars are for my husband and mother-in-law who both enjoyed their meals. read more

I had the half pound burger with cheddar and fries and they were decent but priceyl at $11.49 (specialty burgers with one side are as high as $14.99) for a counter service restaurant. That's a full service price for a burger that didn't blow me away. A positive is that they have Happy Hour M -F from 3-6p.m. With $2 off bar drinks and $6 appetizers. We wanted to give Wahlburgers a try and heard they had a good happy hour. While we found there were a limited number of appetizers half off during the happy hour, their list of beers includes gives a great number of options for different preferences. The boneless chicken wings were really good. Light on the breading and the chili sauce added flavor without the heat overpowering the food. read more

Burger is decent, but the wait when you order at the store side desk takes about 25 minutes. Single plain hamburger and fries. Not complicated. Team does not seem to be in a hurry, although the lady at the desk apologized at the 20 min mark. Maybe a dozen folks in the restaurant so it's not as if there is a rush. I'm not in the habit of leaving 1 star reviews, but I have thought this through for a day and decided to leave this. I ordered a burger, fries and a soft drink. With tip, it was $21. I felt this was exceptionally expensive. I'd expect to pay that at a sit-down restaurant in which a server takes your order, brings your food and drink and refills the drinks. This is essentially a McDonalds in a grocery store. You fill your own drinks, bus your own table, but you are brought your food from the kitchen. I'd have bumped the review by a star or two if I had any interaction with someone other than the person who took our order at the counter. I should also mention that we stood near the bar for 5-10 minutes before realizing that we needed to walk into the grocery store to place our order. We saw no sign telling us to see the cashier in the grocery store. read more

Can't figure out what's with all the negative reviews, I found this location of Marlie Mark's family food chain to host a polite and easy to enjoy staff, well thought out and creative menu, accommodating and positive atmosphere, and decent value when working the daily discounted items. We took a bowl of chili and two burgers home with tater tots for sides. It all lasted my entire drive home and I couldn't believe how good it was hours later as well! The basic Burger was easy to put down; I really like the PB&j Burger but my mom thought it was a bit odd. The chili was extremely meaty and rich, and the same, I loved it but my mom thought it needed more balanced ingredients. we all agreed that the onion rings are something special, a Divine blend of light breading and wonderful flavors. I can definitely recommend and would say the only hiccup is the nearly 30 dollars a normal non-sale ticket would be here. read more

Horrible. The burgers are small and taste like any frozen burger you can get. The pretzel bites were delicious! The service was the absolute worst. It took over 1 hour to get our food. During that hour, 4 other groups of people asked for their money back and left. The server acted like we inconvenienced her greatly by asking for ketchup and mustard. So we gave a Monday dinner group that gathers at local Bloomington restaurants. This week we tried wahlburgers. We arrived before 6:00. There where 7 in our party he bartender informed us that we would order at a kiosks and our food would come out of the kitchen. Seeing as we where the only table in the place Caleb was so kind to wait on our table. His service was excellent!! How ever the food was marginal. Husband had the fish sandwich and Mac and cheese. No flavor for the sandwich and the Mac and cheese was cold??? We are the only table in there. I just got the chicken egg rolls . They where sooo greasy I use about five napkins to try to get ride of the grease. read more

The atmosphere is great, the food is not. The Impossible burger is tiny and overpriced. The sloppy joe came out as an open face soggy mess with 1 piece of thin bread, lots of "special" and cheese sauces and a little bit of meat topped with thin sliced fried onions, not impressive. The chicken sandwich was the best at our table. It was juicy, a good size and well seasoned and dressed. Overall we were disappointed. Poor value for what we paid. Next time we'll just sit at the bar with an order of tots. read more

I was really hungry while shopping, and I had skipped lunch, so I popped over to the HyVee Wahlburgers cafe for a bite. 1) The music was quite loud in the café section that is within the store - and "disco". - I only wanted to have a nice quiet lunch, not sit in a disco with loud music! 2. I ordered their 'home made' chili. It was okay, but like most Midwestern chili, way too much ground beef and way too few beans. We ordered delivery from Wahlburgers. Ordered a chicken salad with chicken on side. It was delivered by grub hub. The chicken was under cooked/raw. We called Wahlburgers and they had no answer and told us to call grub hub, not their issue and couldn't do anything. We don't have time to argue with them. Move on I guess. So excited, we get there and are shocked that our bill was $48 for 3 burgers, 2 fries, 1 onion ring, and 3 small sodas. Ok, it's expensive but it will be good we thought. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked them to please box it up when it's ready because we need to go. We get home and all of the burgers are raw! Like uneatable raw!! The onion rings looked like a small handful of the fries onions I buy at the grocery store for green bean casserole but even they were raw. The only thing that was eatable was the fries that had a good seasoning on them. I worked in restaurants for a better part of my life and I know it can be difficult starting out with a new staff, new food, when it gets busy but there was only ONE other table there besides us and we saw them send their food back. My husband daughter and I decided to go there for dinner because we hadn't been there and we'd heard so many good things about it. My husband ordered a burger I ordered a burger my daughter ordered a chicken burger. We are new to normal, Illinois. We decided to visit this place because my mother was curious about it. Our server was nice and helpful. Our food arrived quickly. Before my mother could eat her salad, she found a dead fly. My father ordered fried fish with his burger and said it was tasteless. My burger was okay, but it extremely small. OK this is my first experience at a Wahlburgers restaurant, and it's inside the Hy-Vee grocery store lol it was a little confusing at first, because you order sort of in a common area of the grocery store but then you go into the back where there are tables set up for the restaurant. There's a small bar and lots of tables and booths and they bring your food out to you. I have purchased Wahlburgers hamburgers through the grocery store previously and we really enjoyed them and I have to say they were just as good if not better here at the restaurant! The thing that was really fun and outstanding were the tater tots, the sweet potato tater tots! They were delicious and I ate almost the entire order, which is saying something! Because the order is huge lol the person eating with me got the french fries and they were OK but the sweet potato tater tots were outstanding! The hamburger was done exactly the way I wanted it and served exactly the way I ordered it. What was really fun was that it was trivia night and even though we were late in the game had already started we were included and asked to join and we had so much fun! There were only a few people in the restaurant at the time, maybe four or five groups of a few people each, but the guy doing the trivia made it fun for everyone and we decided that we would make it a regular evening out at the Hy-Vee Wahlburgers to play trivia! Disappointed, wanted to like. Staff was very friendly. Wasn't busy, but had issues finding a clean table. Food was quick to the table. O.F.D. burger was ok, nothing special. Salad was good. Cheese curds were a bit rubbery. Fried pickles were good as were the tater tots. Kids meals were free due to a promotion going on. The (very cold when served) onion rings taste worse than the ones you buy in a can to use on green bean casserole, the burgers were barely warm, the chili on one was cold, ordered starter of fried pickles, and had to ask twice for them after the burgers were delivered to the table, had to ask for salt, never saw the "special" Wahlburger sauce, fried pickles when they finally arrived were soggy. If you want Coke you go to one fountain dispenser in one room if you want Pepsi, it's in another fountain dispenser in another room, Lunch for the 2 of us was over $33.00 and one of us had water to drink. I've ordered take-out from this place several times; the exact same order each time. Each time they told me ready in about 20 minutes, and my order has been up when I walked in 20 minutes later. Today (8/14/2021), ordered same again. Arrived in 20 minutes, and proceeded to have to sit and wait for another 40 minutes - total of an hour. Three times the bartender gives me a thumbs up, saying my order was coming right up. Wrong. Not only did it take 3x the normal time, but upon arriving at home with it, I discover that the order was completely wrong. Instead of my two (2) Impossible burgers, I was given 3 beef burgers. Altho I specifically requested sauces, we received none. We will not be back to this establishment for a very long time, if ever. read more

Wahlburgers is attached to a grocery store in Bloomington, IL. When we entered, there were no staff at the door or the bar to greet people. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated, then walked into the store to discover that you place your order there. It was the cashier's second day and she struggled to take our order because she did not know the menu and had no one there to help her. (she was very patient and trying hard). We went to our table and received our food after 25 minutes, with no drinks or utensils. We had to flag down a waitress to get utensils and I had to go to the bar to get glasses of water. We had finished eating, but not yet gotten our milkshakes, so the bartender said they would bring them in to-go cups. Our lunch bill for three people was $73... will NOT be eating at Wahlburgers in the future. Overpriced and poor customer service. So the food is really good here. My son loves the burgers and he's a picky eater. Sandwiches are tender, fries taste yummy. Staff is friendly. The thing I wish would improve is cleanliness. I eat here alot and wonder if they EVER sweep the floor? I always see dirt, my shoes stick every time and you can tell they don't wipe down tables. Ironic that I have to wear a mask to enter when they can't be bothered to clean! Would give 5 stars if they gave a rip about customer hygiene. read more

I personally love almost everything I've tried. I've gotten the super melt at least three times and it always blows me away. Their sides are always cooked well with a soft inside and crispy outside and their shakes are the best I've ever had. The costumer service is great, very friendly and comedic.
