It was a perfect two-hour tour, accommodating about 30+ guests, including a pastor who was able to come on board to lead the service. Everything looked pristine, with white tablecloths on all the tables, and they were so accommodating in letting us bring in our own floral arrangements to personalize the space. The setup was incredibly quick and easy, thanks to their modern amenities, including a casting system for the television and a Bluetooth-compatible sound system for our music. we held a biodegradable floral release off of the back of the boat for a memorial service. A special thank you to Stephanie for helping us coordinate and to Captain Todd and all of the amazing staff for being so accommodating. Despite some rain, they made sure everything was flawless for our small, intimate event. This wasn't our first time with Paradise Charter Cruises; we have enjoyed many casual cruises and family events with them on Lake Minnetonka over the years. Every time has been wonderful, and this was yet another perfect event to honor my mom. To top it all off, my husband, my eight-year-old son, and I returned for a follow-up cruise a couple of days later to enjoy the lake and reflect on the celebration. they gave my son special captain privileges which were part of an amazing memory. The staff were pleasant. It was discouraging as I repeatedly asked about the narration and was told it was going to start soon, but it did not happen. Please do not attend this cruise if you hoped for narration, as the captain seemed to want the day off from narration that was advertised.

All week there was going to be chance of storms so we wanted to wait it out and see if it was going to be accurate or not. The cancellation policy on the day of is for weather only (rain, high winds etc). So it's now the day of a reservation (11-7) at 9 am and it's severe thunderstorm watch all day. I call at 9 and ask if we're able to get a full refund, they say no because they have to wait to see if it's going to be bad weather during our reservation time. Fair. I call back at 1045 to cancel because I see it's going to be bad all day, not worth going out at all for $750 or even a partial refund of 375 to go out for half the day. I was still charged the $100 cancellation fee even though the weather was no good. It's upsetting they tried to get me to do a half day on the water when an hour into our reservation it's been lighting. We live an hour away from this location so none of it made sense for us to commit to this reservation unfortunately. If you don't want to go through what I did with no sympathy, either book another company, but your own boat, or cancel 3 days ahead of time

I started the basic Open Water diving class through Aquaventure this year after deciding to learn…read morescuba diving largely on a whim; It seemed like it would be a pretty fun skill to pick up for tropical/beach vacations. I did not have a very strong aquatic background going into the class, but after a little initial inertia I think I was able to do alright picking up all the basic skills in the class, and I really did feel like a lot of it started to sink in pretty quickly. The instructor I had as well as the assistant instructors were all friendly/knowledgeable/helpful. I got the sense that they all took my learning as well as the other students learning very seriously, and just in general felt like I was in pretty good hands the whole time. When I made mistakes (I made a lot of mine towards the beginning), they helped a lot with correcting them quickly. Prior to that, the person I had in the gear shop to select my mask/fins/snorkel was also helpful getting me to try out and find the right fit for everything. I guess my biggest critique would be that for Part 1 it feels a bit like the 'fire hose' method of learning in that you cram learning and demonstrating many skills into less than a 24 hour period, which doesn't give you much time to let 'feeling it out' sink in. It's also pretty tiring. Of course, it's also pretty convenient in terms of schedule to get all of that done in a single weekend, and stretching the course out would just add cost to the end-user I'm sure, so it's probably a conscious tradeoff. My second biggest critique is the only option for lunch on the Saturday class is Subway (blech), unless you bring your own of course. I have not done my checkout dives (Part 2) yet, will do that in Spring 2020 at Square Lake and may post updates on how that goes. Some advice/suggestions for others who feel ok, but not ultra-confident in the water and may want to take a course like this: -They really will make you swim 200 yards and tread for 10 minutes during part 1 of the class (in the pool), so make sure you can do this first. This makes sense, as it's hard to imagine being very comfortable with diving if you can't swim at least a little. Since I generally don't ever get to swim outside of family vacations and when I was forced to in grades 1-6 of grade school, I bought some temporary passes to a local gym with a pool to practice this a few times in the weeks leading up to the class. A few sessions of practicing treading and basic strokes and I was more or less good to go! -When you get the elearning class, All the actual dive skills you'll do in the pool are at the slides at the very end of each module. I'd suggest reviewing those slides in particular right before the pool class and studying them intently to rehearse how you'll do the skills before you do them. If you're like me you would make fewer mistakes if you do this. The dives 1-5 they do in the pool do stick to the skills outlined in the elearning modules 1-5 pretty closely, so you can know what to expect basically in order by reviewing these. -They really will make you do stuff like 'sip' the air bubbles from a free-flowing regulator underwater to simulate a broken one, so get ready to feel like Sonic the Hedgehog in one of the aquatic levels. I never would've guessed that this would actually work in real life before I took this class XD

I purchased a customized group outing here as a Christmas gift to my 11 nieces and nephews and we…read morehad a BLAST! Our instructors. Ellie and Ella made sure we're kept safe and having fun the entire 2 hours of rock wall climbing and swinging. This is my 2nd time to request a group outing and they make the experience so easy. First, I filled out an online form stating my expected group size and requested date(s). Within a day, a nice gentleman called me back to set expectations and told me which dates and times were available. I then called back the third day to finalize everything. They answered all of my questions quickly and I just had to put a $50 deposit to hold my reservation. Once we arrived, each kid got a wristband so the instructors could easily find which kids belong in our group. Then, we all got a harness and they began a 10-15 minute introductory lesson on how to climb using the auto-belays. They offered to manually belay us, but we all preferred the auto-belays. I settled the bill after the event finished, and it was $30 per person as advertised. Pro Tip: don't forget to bring cash! I gave the instructors cash tips as there was no way to add tip to the credit card transaction. I loved their auto-belay systems. It makes climbing so easy and I felt safe belaying down from the very top. I especially love the Minneapolis location because of the abundance of natural lighting in each climbing area. I'd love to buy a 10 visit pass next time for my family to share as it's a fun way to burn some calories.

Austin guided me out into the Mississippi and we went through a couple basic yoga moves that are incredibly more challenging with the core-burning lateral instability of a paddleboard. As long as you're not afraid to fall into the water, (and in summer, how could you be?) this is the coolest way to practice yoga I've experienced yet. They're just getting started, so look for them in a waterway near you very soon!

They have gone to horse camp in past years, but had not ridden a trail. Staff were awesome. We had Wyatt as our guide. He was great with the girls and with explaining things. He kept them confident and informed and gave us the play-by-play during the ride. This was for my 9 year old daughter's birthday present, and they remembered to congratulate her. I appreciate that communication from office to the guide and we had no complaints at all. Would highly recommend and we plan on future rides.
