    Summer Poke Bowl
    Molly G.

The summer bowl was incredible. The poke bowl was fresh, tasty, nutritious - great portion size. Feels like you're eating sushi deconstructed, yet super filling. They know what they're doing! Great place for takeout, they are quick and kind. They also have a few tables if you want to eat there. Highly recommend!

Wonderful poke bowl spot on Elmwood! As someone from Cali, the amount of food for the price is amazing!!! I ordered a custom build my own poke bowl with double salmon, corn, mango, scallions, broccoli, and avocado. Would've easily cost twice as much for half the portion in Cali. Glad to see Buffalo getting some more food options!!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars i would. The food was delicious. I ordered a pick 2 Waikiki Plate with Pork Katsu and BBQ beef. The pork was nice and crispy but tender. The beef was out of this world delicious. Their Mac salad is really good too. The service was really fast the restaurant is very casual and only has a few tables. Luckily most people order takeout so we didn't have a problem finding a seat. This place is so good. I'll definitely be back to try other meats!

Delicious build your own poke bowls, build your own ramen, specials and plates with a protein of your choice, rice, cabbage, and macaroni salad. They also have various side dishes: octopus balls, spam musubi, scallion pancakes, spring rolls, etc. Poke bowls can have a base of spring mix salad, various types of rice, quinoa. You can add a great variety of proteins and toppings with price points for 1,2 or 3 proteins. Some toppings may add a charge such as avocado or eggs. Many sauces are available to add to your bowl. I highly recommend the yuzu one. It makes a great salad or rice bowl dressing. Ramen has similar options and some prebuilt options if you're unsure. I tried the spicy miso ramen and it was quite good. I prefer the poke bowls however personally for the fresh light meal option. Bowls are quite huge and can make two meals for a smaller appetite. Staff are polite and friendly. Space is pretty sterile and but just fine and serviceable. Several tables in a large open room. Good space between tables and very clean. Highly recommend you get a poke bowl today!

Horrible poke bowl, barely added any vegetable, raw un marinated tofu had to douse in sauce to be edible. Overall lacking serious flavor and freshness. Spring rolls were soggy Trader Joe's makes better frozen ones. Their Ramen was good though! Overall save your money

Yum! Built a bowl. It's so fresh and just yummy! Spicy crab with a bunch of goodies stuff, sweet corn, jalapeño, mango, cucs, wonton chip, tempura chips, pickled ginger sushi rice! Delicious

Great poke!! After having been to Hawaii and having the real thing... nothing compares... yet Waikiki Poke is great for what they offer. I personally think this is the best poke bowl in the area, others just aren't that's great! Lots of options here, so it can be overwhelming, but if you ask them for recommendations they are a huge help. Regarding some of the other reviews... You do have to pay before you get your meal, but you do at Five guys too! And I haven't seen or heard the microwave, but let's be honest - most places you go out to eat to some degree probably use one- and I don't own one! So you take it for what it is - you don't have to cook. Their pre-made options are great for bowls, the ramen is good, haven't tried it personally but a friend got it and said it was good and they are a foodie too. Tried a few of the apps, they too didn't disappoint. All in all- about as close to the real things as you're gonna get in Buffalo, as far as I'm aware!

There's a new option for poke right on Elmwood Avenue! I'm a huge fan of poke bowls, I firmly believe they make the perfect meal. Typically (at least in the Western New York area), they aren't the most affordable option, but when I learned of Waikiki's opening and saw their prices, I was stunned! We got takeout and were impressed with the menu offerings -- not only do they have build your own poke bowls, there's ramen, and a host of appetizers as well. I did opt for a build your own bowl with tuna. It was a very good portion size but the balance was a little off for my liking. Way too much edamame, not enough fish. Next time I might ask for an extra scoop of tuna! Overall, the food was delicious and the experience was great. There aren't many good poke options around Buffalo, and the restaurants that do currently offer it aren't cheap by any means. I will gladly order out from Waikiki again. Gotta get my hands on a bowl of their ramen sometime soon now that fall is almost here!

This restaurant is within "The Commons" at UB's north campus. It is open to everyone, not just students. Take a break from ruining your colon with all that guac n roll and c3. spoil yourself and spare your toilet. It reopened a couple weeks ago after like 2 years, and it was my first time coming recently. Good food, probably my favorite place in the UB commons. It is excellent location wise for students here. Poke bowls taste great, there's a lot of options for the sides/toppings. The ingredients all seem fresh, well prepared. The food is presentable and seems to be of good quality. The rice is always delicious too. I'd appreciate if I could pick some up every week or something lmao. (Please. The children are hungry.) The Baos / steamed buns are usually fresh and are a huge treat. My only real issue with this place is prices are kind of high. One bun will run you $4! I understand they need to make a profit and maybe are operating on razor thin margins...considering fish is expensive, good ingredients cost more than the plastic at C3, Covids effect on supply chains, current gas and shipping costs... there's a reason for the price. It's not that much higher, it's similar to all the other places in the commons, really. and I choose to come here, nobody's forcing me to empty my wallet. (State mandated poke would be lit tho‼) If you get your money up not your funny up it's not that big a deal. Also, if you are the type to complain about restaurants not catering to specifically you, because you are vegan, your name starts with K and ends with -aren, and everyone and everything revolves around you, guess what! They accommodate very well and you should have no reason to have a meltdown. Just tell them you are vegan instead of throwing a fit about the mayonnaise you asked for... there are vegan options and you will still be satisfied. Everything bowl wise can be customized. It's all up to you. Simply put I highly recommend this place to anyone nearby, especially UB students. It beats all the food options in the commons and most of north campus in my opinion. 3/5 portion size (can be 4/5 too sometimes they scoop me more salmon just because they are generous) 4/5 taste / yum yum factor 3/5 price 5/5 service (ladies who work there are super nice and very courteous)
