What a find! They also serve fresh Molokai ice cream! They offer a wide array of of lunch dishes that are all delicious! The shop has women's, men's, and children's clothes. They have scarves, pareos, jewelry, leis, and purses that are all unique and locally made! Support local! But the one thing that stands out about Simply Local is their customer service. ALL staff are super friendly and show aloha to everyone that comes into the shop (locals and malihinis). While shopping there, I heard two other customers mentioned that they were so happy with the employees willingness to share aloha! It made it a wonderful shopping experience. Shop owners are absolutely friendly and kind! There is a saying that customers get to choose which businesses are successful, because they vote with their dollars. They support places who have good products and customer service. Simply Local not only has a great selection of products, but they have warm customer service. Mahalo!

Get your Molokai Bread here! I didn't know anything about…read morethis type of bread until a friend told me about this shop in Maui that specialized in selling it. I was visiting Maui for the first time and I'm so glad that I got the info. The bread is soft and sweet and you can get it with or without fillings. You have more of a selection if you go earlier in the day because they do sell out. You can get plain, cinnamon and butter, cinnamon and cream cheese, blueberry and cream cheese, strawberry and cream cheese, butter cream cheese, ube cheesecake, haupia cream, strawberry guava cream, or guava cream. On our first visit, we arrived around 2pm and they only had butter cream cheese left. We decided to return the next day and buy two more loaves to bring to our next stop in Oahu and ordered a cinnamon butter and an ube cheesecake. These are so tasty and I can see why the bread is so popular. And, that's not all! You can also get fresh lemonade, coffee, pizza, sandwiches, poke bowls, açaí bowls, and sherbert. There's more than food here, too. The name of the store reflects that it sells wares from local artisans from Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. There is clothing, hats, art, and more for sale. Truly local and we loved it.

It consists of four separate buildings ranging in size from 1,000 sf to 10,450 sf. Hopefully some national shops and eateries will jump on board and bring some life to Wailuku and introduce some new options & flavors to the island in general. We'll see! The population area surrounding the mall is growing fast, and hopefully marketers are researching this. So, for now it's a 3-star. Access is safe and easy from Kaahumanu Ave or Maui Lani Pkwy. Parking is plentiful due to low tenant occupancy. This shopping complex located located between the twin towns of Kahului and Wailuku, opened in the…read moreFall of 2013 with Safeway as is anchor tenant. It has 103,249 square feet of leasable space on approximately 12 acres. Access to the complex is off of Ka'ahumanu Avenue, with the main entrance off of Maui Lani Parkway. There are 4 buildings in this complex. Safeway with an attached building of 10,450 square feet, a 2-story office building (next to Safeway), a "restaurant" building and a building for shops (along Maui Lani Parkway). The complex went through several changes before it was even built. Originally proposed with a larger Safeway and another attached building (on its' mauka side), it was also to have a gas station. Neighbors in the adjoining neighborhood opposed the idea and the developer revised their plans. The complex was scaled down with no gas station and the proposed entry off of Kainani Street was moved. Also removed was the fifth building that was proposed on the mauka side of the property. Another issue was the discovery of human remains and burials on the property. Local Hawaiian groups opposed the building of the shopping center, noting that it was an ancestral burial ground (pre and post contact). The developer eventually kept several burials in place and marked them (as designated by the Maui/Lana'i Burial Council) with stone markers, a bronze plaque (stating it was a native Hawai'ian burial site, site identification number, AND to respect the area) and metal fence to enclose it. Filling up this shopping center has been slow. There are spaces for a possible 25 tenants, but so far only 6 have opened up. The proposed "restaurant" building is empty and rumours ran rampant that it was the site of Olive Garden.

From furniture, to old records, cameras, shoes, purses, and of course clothes! I could spend hours here. Halloween is just around the corner and they had a ton of fun costumes and pieces outside. We scored because they were just putting out a new shipment of boots today. I took home a pair of Dingo's and I'm so excited! Perfect for the fall trip I have coming up. I also found a cute dress that was on their sale rack. The ladies working today were all really sweet and helpful. Definitely worth checking out!
