The little slightly hidden place... Not the only shopping place in the area Waimalu Plaza sits on a busy corner of Moanalua Road and Kaahumanu Street but don't let this hidden place fool you as it's filled with great local small biz including a full Safeway. Would you expect to find City Mill along side Pink Box and The Face Shop or Hakuyosha, Red Wing Shoes, N&J Nails, Pet Clinic or Pacific Diamond...I honestly didn't think so lol! Sikdorak III, Subway, Jamba, Pho, Pancakes & Waffles and even Paesano is something that got me hungry though I really came here to chill at their Starbucks as this location is a great place to do so as it's spacious with lots of seating. Lots of various parking areas including the ones right beside Starbucks does make it an easy place to swing by and to get a long of shopping or just errands done. Thank you! read more

Got here around lunch time on a Saturday. It's great to see the businesses here are doing great! However it took a while to find a parking spot and the parking lot was jam packed with cars. My usual spot is Kabuki's Restaurant, and I like the okazu-ya. Also Chun Wah Kam for their baked manapua, and pork hash. So happy these businesses survived the pandemic phase. read more

Shopping in Waimalu, Hawaii... Do you know the difference between Waimalu Shopping Center and Waimalu Plaza? I was at Waimalu Shopping Center where there are businesses that include Zippy's, Shiro's Saimin, Kabuki Restaurant, Chun Wah Kam, and Baldwin Snack Shop. I was supposed to be at Waimalu Plaza because there was a Craft Fair there and I had won a prize on Instagram from one of the vendors. Haha! Now I know the difference! Waimalu Plaza has businesses such as City Mill, Safeway, Starbucks, Office Depot, Paesano, Pancakes & Waffles, and Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union. It's really nice of Waimalu Plaza to host a Craft Fair where small businesses can showcase their products. I came to the Craft Fair to see Snacksgalorehawaii because I won a Fukubukuro (lucky bag) Bag from them! Yay! It was filled with snacks and knickknacks such as bottle brushes and iPhone cables. It's too bad that Snacksgalorehawaii doesn't have a Yelp Page. They are a small company that just does random events. You may find them on their Instagram page. Anyway, Waimalu Plaza has some great stores and free parking! I'll be back! read more

Parking wise when you enter starbucks side is really bad. There shouldn't be no parking on that side as this is one of the entrance to the establishment. No planning involved from the management when it comes to parking. read more

I come here fairly often. There's a Safeway, a credit union, and a lots of eateries here. I come here because I go to the credit union to do transactions. I also shop at Safeway occasionally. This plaza is great and convenient. There's also a Starbucks, Subway, City Mill and a few other restaurants. There's plenty of parking in the center of the plaza. We have tried a few places here already. Not bad! Too bad there's no drive thru for Starbucks. Just great and convenient for me since I live close by. read more

Pretty good place to shop, and eat at. There is Safeway, City Mill, Office Depot, Red Wing Shoes, Pink box, Cigarettes and things, Subway, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Sidorak, Pancake & waffles, pho 9five 0, peissano, nail salon, body shop, barber shop, a police sub-station and soon Share Tea. There is alot of parking and cannot park too long because got a tire marker. Lol read more

So I have been coming to this shopping place for as long as I can remember. I still remember Pay n Save. The plaza has evolved quite a lot in the last decade. There's a good diversity of stores an services here. Some of the old timers include Safeway, Diners and City Mill. Then we have some of the newer places like Great Harvest, Paesano and SWAM. There's over 20 businesses and even a small HPD headquarters. Whether you are looking for a bottle of wine, office supplies or a new cell phone; I'm sure you'll find it here along with something to eat. ^_^*~ read more

I'm always coming here. Starbucks, Jamba Juice, City Mill, Office Depot and Safeway. Ha-ha, yeah. There's a variety of different things to shop for. Sometimes there's the difficulty of making the left turn into this Plaza and getting out. There's always parking. When I'm here with my dad we're multi-tasking. I'm usually at Office Depot and he's at City Mill. Save time. read more

This plaza is located near Pearl City, right across from another little shopping center (the one with Cattle Company). There are several stores in this plaza, where you can find what you want. There are plenty of parking space, but they are open and not covered. Overall it is a nice little shopping spot for the residents and passerby. Check it out if you are in the area. read more

Located at 98-1277 Kaahumanu Street, this Plaza is home to: Safeway T-Mobile Bank of Hawaii Office Depot City Mill Starbucks Jamba Juice Jang Su Cigarettes for Less Subway SWAM Police Station Pearl Vision Michishima CPA Diners Paesano Aloha Pacific Credit Union Golden Lion and...a couple more places I cant remember. I come here almost every week whether it's cutting through the plaza just to get to Kaahumanu street to get to the other side like by Times area or just cruising and shopping here to get stuff. I mostly go to Safeway for groceries and stuff. They get choke parking and it is very spacious and wide. They have other stores such as Office Depot, Jamba, Starbucks, City Mill, Diners, the liquor store, and many more. It is quite an interesting mix of shops and stores that they have around the plaza but it's a great place to get stuff to. They have a small HPD HQ around here so sometimes you gotta watch out. I LOVE this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid. I would go to Pay n Save with my mom and always get candies. I used to go to the salon that is now called Prism something along that name. I used to also go to the other salon which turned into Aloha White Hana, which is now closed. Didn't they just open last year? I miss domino's pizza though. I come here every week because my favorite grocery store SAFEWAY is located here and STARBUCKS. Only thing that I don't like is how there are some weirdo's hanging around here. Yes there is a police station but somehow the weirdo's tend to stay. read more

Safeway at Waimalu Plaza SUCKS!! Always a long line, no matter what time you shop. Two, maybe three check-outs open. I haven't seen a new hire in ages. No managers visible with the long lines. I work in that "mall" and will only stop on my way home if I desperately need to pick something up. Btw, their selection of meats is extremely limited (ex: can't buy chicken unless they're in bags in the freezer section-nothing fresh). Need to step in up, Safeway Waimalu!! read more

Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center is a great shopping center in Waimalu with a great variety of tenants to visit. Of course those of us that live near by will often come here for Safeway, restaurants/take out, Starbucks/Jamba Juice, City Mill, etc. However, even if you don't live near by, a great reason to come here would be to visit Shiroma's Wine & More next to the Patisserie, Starbucks, and Jamba Juice. read more

I went to bank of hawaii and the agent Natalie was so helpful. I needed a new debit card because mine expired last april. The mapunapuna and pearl city bank of hawaii was not helpful when I told them my situation. Natalie on the other hand got my paper work done and called in a new card for me. Which the other bank of hawaii did not do. Natalie's customer service was the best. read more
