Head over to Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center (KBSC). Established in 1971, KBSC has been serving the Kamaaina and visitors on the Windward side. It houses big name tenants of Safeway, Goodyear, Long's, Starbucks, Panda Express, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, Central Pacific Bank, First Hawaiian Bank, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, Petco, 7-11, and Diagnostic Laboratory Services. A lot can be accomplished at KBSC and can get good deals on $5 Fridays at Safeway or grabbing a massive plate lunch from L&L or create your own Chinese plate from Panda's, which makes a popular restaurant for grab and go. The closure of Kaneohe Bakery and Deluxe Pastry Shop in recent years had residents of 96744 yearning for breakfast treats but step in Donut King, which opened earlier this year in KBSC. You can also fill up gas at Kaneohe Bay 76 (Union 76) and grab a Musubi and a slurpee from 7-11 that's conveniently located. You also have a Starbucks and Jamba Juice on property as well. There's lots of parking in this structure which makes it ideal to run errands here but why not 5-stars? Couple years ago they repainted the parking stall lines and decided to make the stall narrower which makes it frustrating at times to park. You will need to pay extra attention, especially when a large number of patrons come to KBSC with trucks and vans. This makes it challenging to park here and many times will witness cars either hugging the lines or clearly pass the borders. KBSC is still going strong with so many options to shop and run errands with lots of parking which makes it a great place for locals and visitors.

Like LONGS OR WALMART & there was a burger joint on the other side. Even a Jamba Juice. Not sure how long that stays open but, they have a variety of places to eat here! I went to eat at SUMO RAMEN. Dad & the kids went to L&L's and Pandas. Typical LOCALS! I'm the ONLY ONE in the family that LOVES TO EAT AUTHENTIC FOODS! I'm NOT spoiled or ritzy! I was just taught well by an aunty on where to eat and HOW to eat well. My husband on the other hand, was taught how I just EAT! Although my kids DO eat what I enjoy, they will always pick local style foods over ethnic or authentic. But YES! This place is DEFINITELY WORTH THE LOOK! Oh! They also have a GOODYEAR HERE TOO! So if you ever need your tires fixed, go here so you have options to shop around at. This is not the usual Air Force Exchange you would expect on a large Air Base. The only thing good about the whole facility is the food court. If you a tourist and looking to shop at an Exchange then head to the Navy Exchange just past the Aloha Stadium.

So many businesses have left, including, but not limited to, Dave & Busters, Buca di Beppo, Starbucks and Big City Diner, to name a few! Thankfully, there is long time tenant Consolidated Ward theater. Yes, it's a big screen movie theater. The movie seats are worn and somewhat tattered. Oh, but the memories made here watching movies on the big screen! The visual impact and sound system takes it to another dimension! The air conditioning is great during the hot summer months. Parking is still free here! Bathrooms are available for patrons. New and old establishments such as Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe, Salon Bobby & Guy, L & L Barbecue and more are hopefully here to stay. I mostly come here for the multi-screened Consolidated movie Theater. Other popular places are Big City Diner, Buca di Beppo, Starbucks, and Panda Express on the ground level. Upstairs, next to the theater is Dave & Buster's. Parking is free, except for the valet option which is up the ramp and mainly on weekends. It's best to arrive early. If the parking garage is full, park down the way at Whole Foods or TJ Maxx... In general, I like this Entertainment Center. There's a convenient restroom on the ground floor near the elevator and Big City Diner. The escalator is closer to Buca di Beppo and the theater. The stairs are towards the corner of Auahi and Kamakee Streets near Men's Wearhouse. Enjoy!

The maze in Mililani…read more.. One of the most confusing designs of the traffic flow is found here in Mililani. Lots of great biz are found here in the Gateway at Mililani Mauka which is found right at the freeway entrance/exits with McDonald's being the prominent building viewable. There is Hele along with Starbucks and McDonald's that does draw in many for the drive thru convenience and does make it a challenge navigating between others while some parking area are for specific biz. The impressive selections of shops, restaurants and personal services are found here which I do love just be mindful of the drive thru lines that some may be patiently waiting it's not the greatest place if you're in a rush and aren't familiar with the layout. A four way intersection with a drive-through line snaking through it? I was blockaded by a huge truck in that line while I was trying to exit my parking stall. Needless to say, I was stressed out navigating the stops, yields, and one-ways -- I don't blame the people for being a ball of nerves with such ridiculous and potentially dangerous circumstances! I've come here many times and sometimes it's a hit or miss but when it misses, boy, does it miss hard.

Shopping, dining, and banking in Waikele, O'ahu, Hawaii…read more.. I didn't really know that this Shopping area was called Waikele Center. It's located across from the Waikele Premium Outlet. If the second right hand turn from the freeway leads you to the Outlet, Waikele Center is the first right turn after you exit the freeway. Waikele Center is probably known most for its McDonald's, Starbucks, Party City, and Lowe's. There are food trucks towards the back. They're visible from the freeway. I was there for the new Hawaii State Federal Credit Union inside of the Safeway that's next to Old Navy Outlet. I walked across the property to Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union between Coldwell Banker Realty and Local Motion. This was a good learning experience! I remember that the traffic pattern is kind of complex. It's basically one way in and one way out. Just be patient because getting out might take a while...

That's not the only reason why though. I mean, getting steps while doing some retail therapy is great, but not when there isn't a safe way to do so. There should be sidewalks or clear pathways to all parts of the property you want the guests to visit. Not exactly the case here. I don't know if the trolley still runs, but I know there was one at some point and it would bring guests to all parts of the property. My favorite shop used to be the pet store, that's long gone... Now I visit the Taste Tea truck and Safeway more than anything. There are eateries like McDonalds, KFC, Genki Sushi, Baskin Robbins, etc... That reminds me, I have been meaning to visit Kunis for years now and still haven't gotten around to it! I'll make it there some day... On my most recent visit, I saw they were planning to open a Sephora. That'll be nice. I would honestly like to see more stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, or Marshalls. I know there are those stores in nearby locations. But there are 3 Starbucks locations in Mililani and no ones complaining. Us women like more retail options!

As many shopping area are being torn down only to go massively vertical I'm so thrilled that they didn't do that here knowing how dated it has become what they did is just phenomenal! It's almost incomprehensible of the previous structure to have it taken from us not knowing what was in the plans as I did visit it quite frequently and just having it was nice alternative to venture out at Kahala Mall. Considering the space they worked with I'm sure the traffic flow was the real challenge as sometimes it still confuses me so I just grab a stall when I do find one so that I'm not in a situation that forces me to exit the area which do happen quite frequently lol! As it slowly filled up from some vacant spots I do love the varieties they have to offer from snacks at Wholesale Unlimited, to eats at BBQ Chicken, J Dolan, and Daiichi Ramen, sips at Lanikai and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or how about a Unicorn Butt Sneeze from Purvé Donut, get glamed at Drybar or Kahala Nails, gas filled, or need that Urgen Care...all done here! A low tise strip mall that has Kahala Mkt. by Foodland for groceries and numerous eateries, from J. Dolans to Daiichi Ramen. Shell gas station and Straub clinic are at opposite ends of Kuono. I have only been to BBQ Chicken, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Kahala Mkt, and Great Clips. A nice selection of local businesses and corporate chains. Parking lot could've been better planned and it is always full but there are entrances and exits on the Waialae Avenue and Hunakai Street sides. Stall width allows for bigger vehicles.

Love this location versus the more famous one down the street though yes it's more an outdoor mall and yes the bathroom situation needs the biggest improvement of it all, the shops they have here are great with McD'z, Starbucks, Ross and yes FHB just to name a few parking is never really an issue here as majority are centrally located and with so many options to choose from I can see why it's actually getting much more crowded than it used to be. On this visit I came to drop of some donation at a Goodwill that they also have and most likely can't resist a peek into Ross but lots of service shops all in one place makes it my favorite spot to get some errands done.
