Perfect range to get your bow sighted and ranged. Lots of targets at different distances.

Ron C.

This is one of the friendliest and most accessible ranges for archers on this island! The space is large, there are lots of bales for beginners and experts, and with the exception of friendly chatter and banter from the old archers - many of which will provide you with valued tips and tricks - is a very quiet place to hang out. Park at the dirt lot next to the swimming / diving area and follow the curved path to the range. Remember to bring water, and a way to protect you from the sun ... it gets pretty darn hot there.

Please read before entering range and abide by these rules at all times on the range.

To be honest, I didn't even know it was a class. I thought they would give us bows and let us go. Instead the instructors taught us the basics of the bow and how it's a weapon first. They taught us bow safety, stance and everything in between on how to improve our shot. We moved around to different targets and tried different target sizes and elevations. My girlfriend is right handed and was having a hard time shooting with her right hand. The instructor was so keen that he noticed my girlfriend was predominantly using her left eye and suggested using a left handed bow. When she tried again with the lefty, she greatly improved her accuracy. That was really impressive. These instructors are very passionate about archery and will teach anybody who's willing to learn. Even the enthusiasts who come to practice are very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new.

One of my friends had them come out for her birthday and we play for about 3 hours at Sand Island. At first, I was like come on really... How fun could this be? But I gotta tell you, it was a lot of fun. And a lot tiring as well lol. I mean you're running around trying to hit people and not get hit at the same time. I hate to admit it but I was one of the few that got hit in the face lol... So pretty much she called them and made an appointment. They come and set everything up. I mean everything. All the props, masks, bows and arrows. There was two of them and they showed us how to play and officiated all the games. They were really nice. Pricing is $400 but for 3 hours but we had about 20 people show up who wanted to play so it was only $20 per person. Only 12 can play at a time which is 6x6. I feel 6 on 6 is good, you don't want more than that. The field can get pretty small with more people. The concept is pretty much like dodge ball but with arrows. I highly recommend them and go check them out. www.archeryhawaii.com

Led by our guide Randal and his team of dogs, we experienced the beauty of remote Kauai and were successful on the hunt. Sonny prepared us well with the recommended gear to stay comfortable and by letting us know to bring plenty of fluids and snacks. However, this hunt is not for anyone who is looking for an easy stroll in the wilderness. The terrain includes numerous ravines to descend and scale, streams to cross, hiking through a jungle like environment at times and lots of mud! A great experience if you're physically prepared and I assume a short trip if you are not... We were certainly impressed with Randal's knowledge of the area and the expertise with which he utilized his hounds to find the pigs. Difficult to determine how many miles we hiked that day, but we always felt secure with Randal leading the way and the constant activity of the dogs on alert. Thank you Sonny and Randal for the special memory with my nephew Keanu. You provided a gift of adventure that most only dream about! C. Trenary

Our time slot was reserved through Four Seasons concierge. The resort shuttle took us to this beautiful spacious area in the mountains. Upon arrival, we met Dennis who discussed all the safety measures and provided us with eye and ear protection. We were given a golf cart and followed Dennis to Station 1. This was the easiest and I remember hitting 3 of the 4 clay targets. I couldn't have done this without the helpful instructions from Dennis. He was quite patient with us and made learning shotgun FUN!! Our one hour clay shooting activity had four target stations. In Station 2, the clay rabbit was released from the right and rolled on the ground to the left. I did pretty good at that one too considering these clay targets rolled fast and jumped off the ground in some areas. Stations 3 and 4 were also spacious and scenic. We appreciated that Dennis showed us a sample moving target before setting us up with proper stance and shotgun ammunition. The direction of clay targets were different at each station, making it a progressive challenge as the target surface area changed. Thank you Dennis, this was so much fun!! Truly a memorable experience in Lana'i's remarkable mountain acreage. This facility and gear were clean and safe. Absolutely no person nor animal was harmed during our group activity :) Mahalo nui!!
