Then the day before my rescheduled appointment, they messaged saying my brow artist had a family emergency and that I would be seeing a different artist instead. I didn't see the message until the following morning and therefore never confirmed the change. At that point my appointment had already been changed once because the salon was closing on the original date and now the artist was changing again. Rather than proceed with an appointment that had changed multiple times due to circumstances outside of my control, I decided to cancel. I understand the salon's response will likely be that my appointment date and time remained the same, that they notified me of the artist change and that I canceled within their same day cancellation window. They also explained that their policy allows for a 100% same day cancellation fee and that they only charged me 50% as a courtesy. I don't dispute that they have a cancellation policy. My issue is with how it was applied in this situation. This wasn't a typical last minute cancellation where everything remained as originally booked. The business had already rescheduled my appointment once because they were closing and then changed my artist less than 24 hours before the appointment. I never confirmed that I was comfortable with that change before being charged. Emergencies happen and I don't fault my original brow artist for having a family emergency. My disappointment is with the decision to enforce a cancellation fee despite the multiple changes initiated by the business. In my opinion greater flexibility would have been the fairer approach. I disputed the charge with my bank and chose not to rebook. While I can't speak to the quality of their brow services, I can only review my own experience as a customer and unfortunately it left me disappointed with how the situation was handled.

I was willing to give her another chance, but unfortunately for my next appointment I had to do a last minute cancellation due to last minute change in my work schedule. They were completely non-understanding and insisted on charging me the full price of the appointment. They showed absolutely no willingness to compromise for what was going on in my schedule, and just made it all about getting their $$$. Will never be booking with this place again! Also - a word of caution about all the 5* reviews - after my first appointment I was offered a discount on my next booking if I left a 5* review and specifically mentioned the brow tech by name. She has a few Groupons running right now, which made the service I received an absolute steal. You can even purchase the deal every 90 days! Julia has been an esthetician for 20 years, and I felt very comfortable in her care. She has a very friendly and warm personality that contributes to the overall experience. I had never gotten microdermabrasion done before, so this was a great first experience. No bruising or marks of any kind, like you hear from some horror stories. My face felt great afterward (and still does a few days later), and she used up the whole 90 minutes. She used numerous products on my face and advised me of the purpose of each. They all smelled excellent, and I was sufficiently relaxed! I definitely recommend Julia for facials. Be sure to pick up one of her Groupons and follow the steps to confirm your appointment. And tip on the full amount of the service!

I was looking for and also understood what I was looking for in color. (tone, the gray, then highlight and three different shades of purple.) She did an absolutely amazing job and I would highly recommend her to anyone! I found the whole salon very clean and the people they're very friendly and I've been back four times I believe since. Much to my display, Melanie had just left and so I was sat with a new stylist for just a haircut. She did a fairly good job and I'll definitely go back next month to have the color done. However, a day or so ago, I did receive a call from Melanie, who gave me her current information and I will go back to her if this new gal doesn't work out as well. However, I know if you go up higher than a level one, based on looking at their portfolios, they're definitely one of the best salons in all of Tampa and I've been here for 40 years and tried many of them! I had…read morebeen a client since April 2025 and genuinely enjoyed this salon, which makes it especially upsetting to say that I will no longer be returning--not by choice. I booked my an appointment for October on August 22nd without any issue. Then, without any prior warning or conversation, I received an email stating that I was no longer welcome at the salon due to "multiple instances of missed appointments, last-minute cancellations, and appointment changes." I was shocked. I have never missed an appointment, and according to my records and screenshots, I had only one last-minute cancellation with my stylist, Julia, in March. I mistakenly believed I had cancelled the appointment when I had not, immediately apologized, and was assured at the time that everything was okay. The remaining issues appear to involve miscommunication and scheduling problems. In December, there was a misunderstanding surrounding a service I had booked. Julia was extremely apologetic, offered me a complimentary haircut to make up for the situation, and assured me she would help find the soonest availability. At no point was I made aware that this was considered a serious issue or that there would be consequences for me as a client. Then, in June, I had a color appointment that had been booked two months in advance for my birthday. I reached out to Julia multiple times beforehand with an important question about changing my color service and received no response. I even contacted Syd and asked that Julia be informed. After still receiving no response, I called the salon on the day of my appointment and was told that the service I wanted could not be done because Julia had another client afterward. This was frustrating, especially because I had previously been told that Julia had cleared her schedule for me. Despite this, I still came in for my haircut. Everything between Julia and me was completely pleasant. We spoke normally, and she even asked if I wanted to book another appointment. I said I would call. There was absolutely no indication that there was a problem or that I was apparently accumulating "instances" that could result in being banned. That is why receiving this email months later, with no warning and no opportunity to discuss any concerns, feels incredibly unfair. I also found it extremely unprofessional and hurtful to discover that both Julia and Syd had blocked me on social media. I had rarely even seen Syd for appointments, and the appointments I did have with them went smoothly. I have screenshots documenting these interactions. From my perspective, several of the situations now being attributed to me were directly related to communication and scheduling issues on the salon's end. I was also frequently left waiting while Julia finished with other clients, and there were occasions during my own appointments where I was asked to wait while she worked with someone else. I was understanding about this, but it is difficult to be held accountable for scheduling concerns when I was also experiencing them as a client. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have since become aware of other clients describing similar situations where they were banned or penalized over issues that appear to have stemmed from their stylist's mistakes or poor communication. If this is a recurring issue, I sincerely hope the salon looks into how these situations are being handled. Julia is a talented stylist, and I genuinely enjoyed the work she did for me. However, good work does not excuse poor communication or time management, and clients should not be left to deal with the consequences of those issues without warning. I am not upset simply because I can no longer make an appointment here. I am upset because after being a loyal client for over a year, I was abruptly told I was no longer welcome without ever being given the opportunity to correct, clarify, or even discuss the alleged problems. I would have appreciated a conversation and basic transparency rather than being blindsided by an email. I truly loved this salon and recommended it to others, which makes writing this review particularly disappointing. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and works toward better communication, clearer policies, and greater accountability when issues arise. Clients deserve to know when there is a problem before they are suddenly shown the door.
