Decided to check out CrowBar for a bit today for the Patio seating. Nice to get a huge area all to ourselves. My boyfriend had the standard burger and myself a Green Chili burger as pictured. The fries are some of my favorite in town. We got to buy one get one off they have currently at certain times. We tried a sample of each of the frozens. The peach tea and margarita were a tad strong. The Pina Colada and blueberry lemonade would have been perfect but neither were frozen in the time we were there. I'd be willing to try these again another time. They have a nice big patio which midday would be great for fresh air and the games. Maybe a couple more fans would be even better though. My friends and I came here to play some sand volleyball on a Friday afternoon. We reserved online ahead of time for a court. There are 2 courts next to each other on one side and a court by itself on the other. You can buy a ball for $35 or rent for $10, but we brought our own. There is a walkway of tables in between the 2 sides where you can set your stuff and you can still watch it. The sand was really soft and they had high nets around just in case your ball goes high. It was a chill time! We did not have any issues checking in with the staff. It was a fun place to play sand volleyball for $25/hour. There is also water in some dispensers and a hose that you can use to wash off after you play. read more

Nice place. Went to watch the college game of Houston against OU. Ordered the Shrimp wrap with sweet potato fries but got the wrap with regular fries instead. The wrap was good. It took a while to order and get the food. The service needs improvement. Overall, I will grade it as B+. read more

I've been coming to Wakefield CrowBar for years - between the volleyball courts, bingo, trivia, and happy hour specials there's always something going on. They gave the place a facelift during the Covid shutdown, specifically the outside patio and inside bar area. They've also added new daily specials and activities. We recently went on a Tuesday night and had fun playing singo bingo. They also had specials on tequila, nachos and tacos (in addition to their regular happy hour). The biggest downside is parking, if you get there after 6:15 be ready to find a spot along the street somewhere. The weekends are even more difficult to park, since it seems like they often use half of their (already small) parking lot for vendors. So- give yourself plenty of time to find a spot or plan to take an Uber. The food is really good here too, my favorites are the sweet potato fries, Buffalo chicken sandwich, and most recently the loaded nachos ($6 on Tuesdays). read more

I come to this place to play in the Volleyball league with a couple of friends usually on a thursday. They have gone through a major remodel so the outside is nice and paved but it came at a cost... The usual eggrolls I used to get were nice and plump and were honestly really good. Now, all they did was get fancier plates, served small egrolls that they cut in half to make it look like a lot. And they still charge the SAME price. I understand there might be reasons for this, but like i will definetly not get them again here. The other food is bar food and is pretty standard with no standouts. The beer selection is nice and they have a nice array of deals and specials. The volleyball courts are very nice and are kept extremely well. Not bad, but i wouldn't really choose this place if it didnt have volleyball. read more

Despite having no hamburger or hotdog buns at noon on a Saturday, the cook staff was unwilling to substitute Texas toast because "they would run out for other menu items." That was after discovering that half of the menu online is not available. This was a disappointing discovery after sitting at a kiosk for 15 minutes waiting to order while other staff, including what looked like management, just sat around and chatted with other customers instead of helping with taking orders. Apparently only one staff member can do anything with food. To top it all off, 10 chicken tenders run you $40 bucks. Don't waste your time trying to eat here. I have been coming to Wakefield every week for 4 years now. Recently, Wakefield changed their menu and it's drastically different. The old menu and choice of food items were SO much better then. Even the old menu items that stuck around doesn't taste the same. I miss the sweet potato fries!! I am happy that they finally turned the music down and the DJ isn't usually there anymore because no one really listens to them anyway. The bartender was not paying attention to anything that I was saying even after being the only one at the bar. I had to tell her my food order multiple times just for her to mess it up in the end. Awesome place for a party!!! My son's track team was in from out of town and we reserved the indoor party room for dinner. Such a huge hit!! The students loved playing sand volleyball, corn hole, and shuffle board and singing karaoke. The owner was wonderful to work with in coordinating the party; very attentive to details. We had our own server and appetizers were ready soon upon our hungry team's arrival.
