I recently attended a baby shower at this location. I had never been here before, as I don't spend too much time on this side of town. Relatively easy to get to off of the highway, it has a nice little spot off of the main road. They have two parking lots which make it nice as long as it's not too busy, and a little bit of street parking. I imagine during peak business hours it can get packed and parking can be a hunger game situation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in. They seem to have a lot of space. They have two different outdoor areas, and two different indoor areas. I only went into the main one during our event.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It happened to be a Sunday so there was football on every TV out there,. They also had a volleyball game going on between Nebraska and A&M. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The indoor area is on the smaller side, but it's nice and comfortable provided they're still space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They've invested most of their space and outdoor areas. It also helps that they have heaters throughout, which make it nice regardless of what time of year you're out here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food wise, I didn't order anything. But they did have catering for the event and I assume that came through the bar. It was really good. I stuck to some domestic beers on the menu for this event, so I can't speak to their cocktails. However, having walked around I saw signs for different things that they have throughout the month. They do have steak nights, they have geeks who drink trivia, they have other events throughout the month that you should check out. Overall a nice place, I can't speak to their drinks, but looks like it'd be a cool place to go, watch a game, or host a thing outdoors, or just catch up with people. PARENTS BE AWARE: if you bring your family here, be prepared for zero grace, poor communication, and a confrontational approach to enforcing rules. There is little patience shown toward families, and situations can escalate unnecessarily. We've been regular customers here since this place opened and never had an issue until this visit. We're a family with two young kids and don't consider ourselves difficult customers. Our son briefly had a small ball. The person who I later learned is, or believe to be, the owner told us that balls weren't allowed. We immediately apologized, smiled, and put it away. No argument, no resistance, and the ball was never used again. Later, that same person came back and spoke to my wife in an aggressive, confrontational, and disrespectful way. The very first thing he said to her was, "I told you that balls were not allowed," despite the fact that our child was no longer using a ball. He clearly misunderstood the situation -- other children nearby (not with us) were playing with balls -- yet chose to lead with an accusation rather than calmly clarifying. Once he realized those children were not ours, he never apologized for the mistake. He simply walked away and went on to confront the other family instead. When I tried to explain this and asked that he speak respectfully to her, he became defensive, dismissed me outright, told us we could leave, and refused to hear anything further. The situation escalated into a verbal confrontation involving profanity on both sides. I'll own my part in that -- but the escalation was completely unnecessary and avoidable. What made this worse is that I later confirmed this person was the owner. That's deeply disappointing. Regardless of rules, there is no excuse for engaging with customers in a hostile, dismissive, or aggressive manner. This guy is arrogant, and rude. We won't be returning. If balls are not allowed, there should be clear signage. There was none. A simple sign would prevent situations like this entirely. I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. This is not about one mistake -- it's about how it was handled. read more

Both of their tiny parking lots filled up so fast, and then we went to go park in the back of the tiny street where the bar is located because street parking is all that's left, people parked in the no parking side of the street and literally blocked us in. First time at this location! How fun! When we got there, we were able to snag a parking spot easily. We also saw 2-3 cars pulling out to allow others to come as well. There is street parking if you can't park in the lot. Vibes are good! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the outdoor seating is covered. We went for a birthday party and they have a happy hour food/drink menu from 3-7pm (Tues-Fri). We ordered chicken sliders and skewers from the menu, but also got brussels sprouts from their shareable menu which were good and affordable. The chicken sliders came with 3. They were actually pretty yummy and fulfilling. The skewers were small, came with 2 and definitely not worth it. The brussels sprouts actually came with rice too, which was a surpise, but a good surprise! This was my first time at this Nett Bar. Because it was Friday the 13th, there was a dog costume contest going on. There are games for children too. Parking can be a little tough. Wish they had a bugger parking lot. They've got all the same great drinks as the other location, but they have separate area now where you can order food. I'm a big fan of the original location just off of Washington St, but this location might be even better. Unlike the original, this location still has neighborhood bar feel with a wide variety of cocktail and beer selections but with a kitchen and increased seating space. Keeping true to the nett bar identity, the shady acres location still has bocce ball but now also a dedicated, gated dog park, and a cafe soon to open. Expect it to get busy during Astros and college football game days, but not to worry, the shady acres location has more tables, booths and outdoor bar seating to accommodate every time of group - college reunions, families, neighborhood friends, even first dates. They do have two small dedicated parking lots but still, parking is tight. I recommend taking a ride share whenever possible. Definitely recommend! read more

We could hear the kids screaming from inside our cars even. We left to a different bar after one drink cause we couldn't take it anymore. Just tried out their classic burger. Very good, nice and juicy. French fries were nice and crispy, not overly salty. Service was quick and friendly, about 10 minutes from ordering to table during a kid of slow point in the afternoon. Parents BEWARE, new facilities with attentive staff, unfortunately anything good that could be said about this place is negated by the high strung owner who spent more time scolding children not to play in areas near TVs (TVs all throughout in this "kid friendly" business), than actually spending time in doing the rounds to make sure customers who waited an hr an a half for food to be served were ok. The owner gets triggered and becomes aggressive when older children play outside this one gated corner that is designated for toddlers. Our children left crying after being scolded by the aggressive owner who later acted violent and was cussing at the parents. Lesson learned, this seemingly kid friendly place is true to its name. Incredibly friendly staff, top level service, and a welcoming atmosphere have carried over from the original location on Nett Street to W 22nd.
