I was excited to try this place, because of the reviews. It's absolutely a hole in the wall ( a real plug in my opinion) , and tucked off of any real road. Totally incongruous with the surrounding environment. Walked in... nothing fancy. Maybe 5 tables. The food was just not good. I had the big wonton soup ( the one with all the extras ). The broth was very bland. The wontons were the nice thin wrappers, but the filling tasted "off". And there was enough noodles in the bowl to make it difficult to eat. I ate a few bites and left the rest. I also ordered the boneless spare ribs. They had a nice cook to them. Nice color. Nice charing. But... just not flavorful, and dry. Very dry. This is a cha chaan tang experience or a hole in the wall. It is located in a very nondescript location near BJ's (go straight rather than turning towards BJ's). It is literally across from a condo complex and offers 3 parking spaces in the front. Inside there is a relatively clean front room and a back room that is simply decorated. I highly recommend the wontons ($13 w/o tax) with noodle soup as it tastes very bouncy and not too salty. The beef chow foon ($16 w/o tax) has wok hei (smoky) taste to it. Was craving a Hong Kong-style meal and this really hit the spot. I ordered what I would usually get at a place in Hong Kong: wonton noodles and a side of vegetables. It's a simple dish, but the wontons were pretty good here and I appreciated that the skin wasn't too thick. I'd recommend the beef brisket wonton noodle if you want a dish with more variety + it has a bit of vegetables in there too. The staff were all very friendly. The wonton noodle beef was very well executed. The beef was very tender. We ordered the coffee HK milk tea combination and it was excellent. I also enjoyed their beef noodle hor fun. That was nicely executed. I could tell the chef had skill because the noodles were not watery even with the large amount of bean sprouts he put in the dish. The location seems to be a bit far from the Main Street, and the space might be a little small. However, the ambience was very homely. The food itself was pretty good, but you need to make sure that your expectations are not pinned to any other restaurants. The people who run the restaurant are very friendly and service-oriented. Portions were good. I would say the one thing to be concerned about is that every time the door is open, the wind comes in, so if you decide to come to eat, eat in the small room further away from the door. read more

This place is one of those small businesses that gets too often overlooked by the general public, and I only heard about it from news of a viral TikTok video that quickly circulated online. Upon entering the restaurant, the interior appeared to be nothing special, but we were greeted by some very welcoming and friendly staff. Among the dishes we ordered were Beef with U-Choy Pan Sheared Noodle, which had very tender beef and noodles that were perfectly crispy on the ends, and Chicken Katsu Don, which had tasty crispy chicken and a flavorful curry sauce with just the right amount of heat! For a party of two, the portions were very reasonably sized - we left the restaurant with only a few scallion pancake slices as leftovers. Literally a hidden gem, on an obscure little street, that is easy to miss. But, don't let the location or the modest exterior keep you from stopping by. These folks are whipping up magic in this small, ma and pa restaurant. The food is bursting with flavor. It's hard for me not to just keep ordering the same thing over and over again, because it's just that good. The chicken cutlet katsu don, the beef and broccoli, the chicken curry and the braised beef noodle soup are all delicious and addictive, in their own right, and should not be missed. Not only are the portions and prices great, but the love and pride that goes into each plate is priceless. To top it all off, everyone treats us like family. This place can be easy to pass by as it is off on a side street directly across from A Monti Granite. There is a small shared parking lot. There isnt a lot of tables to sit at as it can probably only seat around 20 people at a time. I decided to order takeout since there were no tables available. On the menu you have the classic HK noodle soups such as wonton noodle soup, and beef brisket noodle soup. They do a small upcharge when you request them to do a beef brisket wonton noodle soup. When I brought it home, the noodles and soup were packaged separately and everything was well packaged. Beef brisket wonton noodle soup: 4.5/5 the broth was delicious and had a nice umami flavor to it. The brisket came with daikon radish which was different and welcome. There were ample pieces of the brisket and the wontons were full of shrimp flavor. My only gripe was that I wish there were some green veggies to give some sort of texture difference. Soy garlic wings: 5/5 these were perfectly crisp and were so juicy! They're very close to the ones you get at the korean chicken places. They're not open on Tueadays so keep that in mind. I have ordered takeout from here a few times now and the food is decent and moderately priced. Their HK beef brisket egg noodle soup is tasty. However when they tell you 20 minutes it's never 20 minutes. It's at least 40-45 minutes. Just be mindful about ordering it well in advance if you plan to do takeout. New restaurant, opened on August 7, 2023. Had a great lunch here today of wonton noodle soup and beef brisket noodle soup. Both were flavorful, and the portion sizes were in line with other similar restaurants in the area. Most of the HK-style cafes are down at the other end of Quincy, so it's nice to see something in South Quincy. They are clearly still setting things up inside, but they have a big and varied menu and a few tables for eating in. They also do take-out. Staff were really nice, going out of their way to ask us how the food was and suggest items. I definitely want to go back to try a few more items on the menu, like the rice plates. I do wish they were more of a HK-style cafe with more traditional foods and drinks (no HK-style milk tea??), but I'm excited to try some other stuff when I go back. We ordered beef brisket noodle soup and added wontons which was extra (the wontons were good but not the best I've had), pig knuckles, curry fish balls, boneless spare ribs, and gyoza. The beef brisket comes with daikon, which makes their version different and delicious. The menu was odd, my dad wanted pig knuckles with noodles but they only served it with rice but he could order a wonton noodle soup and an appetizer size order pig knuckles. I guess I'm not sure why they couldn't replace the rice with noodle even if it meant an up charge? They're fairly new so maybe these are the kinks they have to workout. read more
