After ordering from them several times, I've found their service to be consistent and reliable. They have decent pizza, and their delivery times were accurate. I'm not going to get into an arguement about who has a better pizza. We all have our favorites, but these guys are good. They beat the national chains by far, and I would much rather support someone local. I was dubious about them delivering to me, since I live in Indiana, but they were the ones that dropped off the coupon at my house, so I figured, what the heck. Would give them 0 stars if I could. I ordered my pizza last night at closing. Guy states that they're only taking walk ins. I convinced them to deliver to me. States it'll take an hour for pizza to arrive. Actually took an hour and a half. I get the pizza it's incredibly cold and barely had any cheese on it. Also, they forgot my soda with this order. This afternoon I called to explain my displeasure and the same guy from the night before says that that all he can do is give me 10% off my next order like I was someone trying to get over on them. Their sandwiches are good as well, my husband always orders sausage and peppers and the beef and sausage and they are always heavy and very TASTEY. The pasta is kinda meh, bland sauce and smaller portion ( state line pizzas is very good with a bigger portion but they quit half price pasta Wednesday so we have no reason left to order from them) Oh also they have coupons for free cheesy bread and its a LOT of cheesy bread! So we quit ordering from Waldo Cooney's years ago, and tonight our favorite place was closed so we figured what the heck let's give them a try again. We probably will wait another 5 or 6 years before making that mistake again. We ordered 2 pizzas, over $50, was told delivery would take and hour, an hour and 1/2 later we called to see where our pizza was, we were told it was on the way. The driver pulled up about 15 minutes later and we watched as he finished up a phone call taking another 5 minutes before even getting out of the car. We were told by the driver that another driver got scared to drive in the rain and returned back to the pizza place, so he had to bring it out. So almost 2 hours later and we finally had pizza, ice cold, because well doesn't everyone prefer it that way. Normally have great food and service from here. This last time was not the case. Placed my order through door dash for pick up. When I arrived two counter girls standing doing nothing. When I mentioned my name they grabbed the cheque to then inform me it would take 30-45mins for my order. As they didn't place my order until I walked in the door. Even though door dash confirmed received and my order was for pick up. This is the second time I've had to wait on an order that should have been ready when I arrived. Great tasting thin crust. And for the price yes!! This is our go to place, when we need to order for a big group. Also really enjoy getting the Chicago style deep dish from here. Ordered off the web site of the store. They run the orders through Eat Street . Order was confirmed and never made. The app even told me it was made and was on the way. I called when it was late and was told they never made it. They offered to make it then and now. I refused and asked for a refund. Nope have to call Eat Street. So.... The only place in town (NW IN) to get pizza! Friday nights and Saturday nights are usually pretty busy, but it's worth the wait. Their pizza is also good if you have been out drinking all night and looking for something to soak up all that alcohol! Overall, good customer service and the delivery service has always been kind. The pizza is consistently good, the sauce has a good flavor and their crust is super thin. They also don't skimp on toppings. There's plenty of cheese and the toppings are just enough to satisfy. There Sandwich selection are good for lunch, but I wouldn't recommend for dinner. I would however recommend there "pizza by the slice" for lunch. It's a double dough pizza, but very, very filling. There wings are nice size and very filling. There appetizer menu overall is not bad in price or taste. They also deliver on grub hub now, which is a huge plus for ordering on-the-go! What??? How is it that I have lived so close to Waldo Cooney's Pizza for over 8 years without trying it until this past weekend??!! It was OUTSTANDING!!! I just happened to be searching online for a place that delivered late and Waldo's popped up. The delivery was fast and friendly. We ordered a large thin crust pizza and a grilled chicken salad. NWI has many awesome pizza establishments and Waldo's is right up there with the best of them. The salad was so fresh and delicious too! I ordered a couple pizzas from this restaurant, at 12:15 P.M.,and they did not arrive until 3:40. It took over 3 hours for my pizzas to arrive. I called them, twice, to see what the problem was, and each time, I was told that there was no problem, and my food was on it's way. We ordered the Chicago classic deep dish pizza! It was soo cheesy good! We love it! Just one slice and it's enough to get us full! We ordered a large for a family of 3 and after we each ate the first slices, we couldn't fit another slice in. Horrible customer service. If you order online you get a discount. Something was wrong with the site online and would not process payments to complete the order. The page would just say sorry they would contact website management. So I called and explained what was going on with there site. I asked if I could still get the discounted rate since I couldn't order online. The girl was very nasty. Solid pizza with friendly, fast service! Called in around a quarter to ten and was told they would have my extra large pizza ready in 25 minutes. Got jalapeño, pepperoni, and garlic. They do not skimp on toppings as the pizza was quite spicy (as requested). The gentleman applied a coupon which saved me some cash and gave me a free liter of soda. I am a Virgo...so I am a born critic. So when I find a place that impresses me I have learned to do the right thing and pay a compliment where a compliment is owed. I have lived in Lansing 4 1/2 years, I have tried various pizza places in the area: Jimmy K's, Beggars and Eduardo's; while the service was good at each, the quality was not consistent. I was referred to Waldo Cooney's by my daughter who is a student at a local grammar school. Her class ordered pizza from Waldo Cooney's. She is also a natural born critic, although not a Virgo,because the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She loved Waldo's Cooney and asked that I order it because we do pizza at least one night a week. I ordered it. I loved IT!!!!! I have ordered it as a carry out and also as delivery. The quality was the BOMB both times. As further validation that this place is good...my husband used to work at a pizza parlor in his youth. He was the pizza maker. This is the first place he has not complained about, with the exception that they give a free liter of RC with the Jumbo Pizza...he doesn't drink RC. As for the Carry out Service - the employees are friendly - no prejudice exhibited...not that I experienced that at any of the other pizza places I mentioned earlier in the review, however I have experienced it at some establishments in this area no matter if I am showing up in casual gear or a suit after leaving my Fortune 500 corporate job. As for the Waldo Cooney Delivery Service - For me I love the fact that the pizza is HOT when it arrives and the crust is fresh and delicious. We have received pizzas where the pizza is no longer hot when delivered, or the cheese sticks to the top of the pizza container, or the crust is stale and hard in comparison to the fresh toppings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WALDO COONEYS....after a bad experience with the Morgan Park location many, many years ago, I would never think I would be writing this. However, the Lansing location more than earned this review. They pleased a family of picky eaters with good ole' fashioned, good, quality food preparation and service. I had a very large 4th of July order that was stressing me out for a work pot luck. They were open as advertised and came through with great pizza and wings.
