......just an update , hoping to post video but here captures from January 28th 2025 ~1214PM…read more Notice PARC EAST still not appropriately cleaned . The church (not shown ) to its west all clean, walk-up buildings 75% clean, PARC east 20% clean just look at captures. Now some might say how do we know its Jan 28th (why i was hoping to post video as I panned onto Monitor showing LIVE news reporting as proof of DATE, had news of Trump team trying to break up Canada and next snowstorm in 2 days) So notice if it weren't for sunshine PARC EAST would have foot high stone hard ice, instead of 6 inches of sun melted snow. I bet PARC EAST instead of fixing the issue will change their name, so folks don't see these reviews.

I lived at Parc East for 2.5 years with my sister and moved out in October 2025. If it were…read morepossible, I would give this building zero stars. *** I highly encourage you to read ALL the reviews on here and Yelp. Many of the 5-star reviews complement the maintenance staff and doormen (who were, for the most part, great in our experience). Very few 5-star reviews address the management company, neighborhood, or building itself. *** To start, Equity Residential is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. I've lived in New York City for eight years and rented multiple apartments, and I have never experienced management this unprofessional or incompetent. Ashley Roman, in particular, was consistently rude, dismissive, and difficult to work with. One especially alarming example: during a summer heatwave, my sister went two full weeks without a functioning AC unit. Repeated calls and emails to the leasing office went unanswered. My sister has severe asthma, and when we raised this as a medical concern, the response we received was that the leasing office had already loaned out their own AC unit and were also "struggling with the heat." The lack of urgency, empathy, or accountability was shocking. Beyond management issues, safety was a serious concern. Parc East sits directly across from a housing project, and there were frequent disturbances outside the building, including drug activity, domestic disputes, and even gunshots. One night, a young woman was shot across the street, her body dragged down the block, and left outside a nearby building. The adjacent "park" is effectively a drug den. During our time in the building, a homeless man lived in the stairwell for nearly three days before any staff intervened. It was also common for people to sleep under the building's awning overnight while using drugs. On one occasion, a used needle was thrown at us directly outside the entrance. Despite repeatedly flagging these concerns to the doormen, nothing was ever done. The situation escalated to the point where my sister was aggressively harassed outside the building--our final straw. It was so bad that she still won't speak about what happened to her. On top of this, the building itself feels like a glorified dorm. The majority of residents were recent college graduates who treated the building like a temporary party stop--blasting music, leaving trash in the hallways, and showing little regard for other tenants. If that's the environment you're looking for, this may suit you. It absolutely did not suit us. When we finally decided to leave a few months into our third year, we had to break our lease. From that point on, management did everything possible to make the process miserable. Despite ending our lease at the end of the month, we were told it was entirely our responsibility to find replacement tenants after then. We were repeatedly threatened and pressured, despite being fully cooperative and accommodating showings as long as we received notice. Eventually, staff began entering our apartment without informing us, showing it to prospective tenants and moving our belongings. When we raised concerns, we were met with denial and gaslighting. After moving out, the issues continued. Parc East nickel-and-dimed us for virtually everything, including charging hundreds of dollars for an allegedly "unclean" oven. We ultimately received only a fraction of our security deposit back. When we reached out simply asking for clarification on the deductions--made intentionally opaque through a convoluted online portal--our calls and emails were completely ignored. We consider ourselves lucky to have gotten out. From the very first night we moved in, we knew it was a mistake. For the price, the lack of safety, accountability, and basic tenant respect is unacceptable. PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE if you value your safety, sanity, or peace of mind.

Currently it's stated closing is 9:30, but staff start removing food and blocking off seating at 9, which creates unhappy customers. I heard staff say they are required to get things cleaned up by a certain time, so not their fault. The good is the staff. Friendly housekeeping and Sam at front desk was great! Stayed a week and chose this hotel to have a kitchenette. It worked well. But typically I choose a boutique hotel because I don't like crowds. The elevators were jammed. It does need a renovation and could be kept cleaner. But overall fine and great location.

So walkable and close to the subway. I also prepaid for my stay which made the hotel significantly cheaper. Check in was very easy. I was pleasantly surprised to hear there was free breakfast! It was great and PACKED everyday. They also had bananas and oranges in a basket in the lobby everyday. Our room was SO spacious. I actually couldn't believe it. So many other places we have stayed at in the city are a shoebox. We were located on the 32nd floor and every time I walked in the room I was dizzy. We looked up that this can sometimes happen on high floors of buildings. Next time we stay, I will be asking for a lower floor. One big negative was the lobby smelled like pet urine. Like a strong smell of it. Every time we walked in. No where else in the building smelled like this. It was so odd. We went through the lobby quickly every time we entered. No issues with the elevators during our stay. Overall a great stay. I would definitely stay here again.

A fine starter apartment for recent grads, but nothing more…read more Pros: - reasonably priced modern units - dry cleaner in building is great - nice doormen (at least the senior staff) - great maintenance staff who come quick - great gym facilities Cons: - loud construction during the days and nights from neighboring buildings - water has leaked from above units multiple times. Pipe infrastructure is old and management continues to bandage it. - long lines for elevators happens often - laundry in basement has one elevator and it's the service elevator (not always running) - beautiful lounge that you cannot rent out - low floor-south facing units will deal with lots of pigeons. - not great location for subway. 15 min walk to GC - doormen often don't hold door open for you. Or they're on their phones and allow anyone in. - expensive laundry and none in unit. Loads cost $3.75 - super doesn't live in building 7 days a week. This is a big one because I had a lockout and the doormen lost my keys. This led to a 2am hire of a locksmith, $1000 bill, and a 8 month long back-and-forth with management to get my keys back.

The photographs of the view from my room simply do not do it justice. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful during my stay, and from that vantage point, Manhattan felt almost cinematic--a true bird's-eye view of the city with Central Park stretching below in remarkable detail. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, stocked with fresh towels and all the amenities one would expect from a quality Marriott International property. Due to early morning flights and a tight schedule, I wasn't able to enjoy the breakfast buffet, though I heard consistently positive things about it. Considering it was included with the stay, it seemed to be an excellent added value--whether through my Marriott status or simply as part of the room rate. What stood out most, however, was the staff. Check-in was efficient despite a busy front desk, and the line moved quickly, which any weary traveler can appreciate after a long day of travel. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Manhattan. Its exceptional location adjacent to Central Park, combined with excellent service and unforgettable views, makes it an easy choice for both business and leisure travel.

The location of this hotel was in a prime location if you wanted to be close to Times Square. It was only a few blocks away from this hotel. It was a very clean hotel, but the room was a little cramped. Even though it said it was a double bed, it was more like one twin bed and one full size bed. For a family of 4 it was a little cramped but we were only staying for one night. Our room did come with a sink which would be convenience if we needed to stay for a longer period of time. My favorite perk with this reservation was that it included a breakfast buffet! Wow, the breakfast buffet spread was very nice, was more than just a continental breakfast, it had hot food and fresh fruit! The front desk staff was very friendly and the staff at the breakfast was very helpful. I would stay here again on my next trip.
