Customers should be informed in advance if the service may take four or five hours so they can make other arrangements. I was quoted approximately $800 for the brake service, but the labor cost was not clearly explained or itemized before I approved the work. After paying nearly $1,000, I realized that about $430 was for labor. The parts and labor charges should be clearly separated before the customer authorizes the service. The customer service is good, but I can see the dealership is money hungry. I've never in my life had a monthly note of 1,400.00. Something isn't right! Yeah I was hurt on the job and wasn't getting paid, so that lowered my credit score. I just got back to work, so I just wanted some more truck space really for my music equipment. They keep cutting the back of these vehicles smaller. I traded in the Mazda SUV a Toyota car. I read online that Toyota vehicles are reliable! And I was tired of the little space in the Cx-50. I've never had a really good experience at any dealership except for the one I went to in Towson Maryland. I wrote a letter to the Better Business Bureau years ago when I was younger because I had a lot of money then, but I wasn't stupid at all. I kept giving up money and asking for what I wanted and I would get the run around, the salesman would say take this vehicle and your jeep should be available next week! That wasn't the case! The next thing I knew "Darcars was shut down on Saint Barnabas Road. You just can't treat people any kind of way. I didn't ask for anything extra, so hopefully I can get somethings removed from this paperwork! I know I have thirty days to make any changes. Before I walk into any dealership I ask for what I want before I waste my time driving to the lot. I asked for a vehicle with more trunk space. I went to the Used car lot now! I wanted lower payments! I got a new vehicle and my payments were doubled. I was already paying 812.00 for this little Mazda, and I'm just catching up on all my bills since Sedgwick decided not to pay me correctly! This really upsets that people just aren't cool unless you go further out. I appreciate everyone taking the time to help me out, but I'm thinking I would have got better service if the person in charged calls me in and say I can help you! Nope not so! This really made my situation worse. I wanted a truck, but it wasn't available. I just can't seem to get better service unless I go further out of town. I just know right now, no one really cares about anything but money now. The next time I make a move! I will have the money to buy anything with the credit union. This financing and adding on extra fees that are really unnecessary for me is not the way to go. Just be careful when going into the financing process because something just isn't right. I am not driving a Ferrari or anything, so this monthly note should not be this high! I've been in way bigger vehicles and never paid a high note with the negative equity rolled over from my other vehicle! I appreciate everything, but it would be better if the person could let me know if they can really help me or not before I get up out the bed and spend hours doing something I may regret doing letter on. I explained that my appointment was on a workday and that I needed to return home to work while my vehicle was being serviced. I was assured that shuttle service would be available. However, when I arrived for my appointment this morning, I was informed that my home is outside the authorized shuttle service radius. I was then offered the option of remaining at the dealership and waiting for my vehicle. That was not a reasonable solution because I had already explained when scheduling my appointment that I needed to get back home to work. Had I known in advance that shuttle service was not available, I could have made alternate transportation arrangements. I dropped my vehicle off at 7:30 a.m. and did not receive notification that my service was complete until 12:24 p.m. Had I stayed at the dealership as suggested, I would have had to use approximately five hours of leave from work--something I specifically sought to avoid by confirming transportation before scheduling my appointment. I then spoke with Service Manager Tammie Kuntz, who approved what she described as a "one-time exception." Unfortunately, the way this was handled came across as unnecessarily performative. In front of her employees, she emphasized that she was making an exception and stated that she was going to speak with the scheduling staff to ensure they no longer promise shuttle service beyond the 10-mile limit. Rather than simply resolving the issue, the interaction felt more like an opportunity to demonstrate her authority than to assist a customer. I also had my puppy with me, who is currently training to become my service dog. While discussing the shuttle, Ms. Kuntz reached down to pet him without asking my permission. That interaction reinforced the impression that she was approaching the situation from a position of condescension while "doing me a favor." Regardless of whether a dog is a service animal, a service dog in training, or simply a family pet, it is basic courtesy to ask the owner's permission before attempting to pet the animal. In the case of service animals and those in training, that courtesy is even more important because unnecessary interaction can interfere with their focus and training. I'm now left paying approximately $40 for an Uber back to the dealership. Had I been given accurate information when I scheduled my appointment, I could have made other transportation arrangements, avoided the unnecessary expense, and prevented this inconvenience altogether. I called Waldorf Toyota to schedule a routine service appointment on my new Grand Highlander which was purchased at another dealership because we couldn't get the paint color and options we wanted due to the Grand Highlander demand. First of all, I was offered multiple appointment times for the same day! I took one, headed to the dealership and was immediately greeted by their service team. Each team member was very warm and polite throughout my time in the dealership. Saeed Satterwhite worked with my directly to get my service done, addressed a concern I brought to his attention (resolved it), and let me know of a factory recall issue they wanted to fix while I was there. I sat at the work station in their very busy waiting area and was able to get work done while I waited for my vehicle. They finished the work quickly and I was on my way in record time. What a refreshing experience at a car service e dealership. This is my first Toyota. I bought mine after my husband's experience with his first Toyota (a Tundra truck). We've both been impressed by the professionalism of the staff at every dealership we've been to and the lack of high pressure sales tactics. Shout out to Brian Langford, who used to work there, for the time and energy he spent trying to help us buy our SUV when we had very little turn around time to replace my totaled vehicle. What can I say about this spot. I brought a Prius in because the FOB needed to be reprogrammed. Fortunately it didn't take that long, which was the only good thing that happened during my visit. I thought the tech was approaching me to tell me the car was ready, but as I stood up he asked me to sit down. He began to go down the list of things that he said they found wrong with the car which I should take care of (inside of rotors rusted bad, front stabilizer boots cracked, wiper blades worn, flush brake system since it was "low and dirty"). I became suspicious because I observed other techs doing the exact same thing - approaching the people waiting and giving them a list of unexpected things they needed to repair in their car. I requested that they not do the work (just an oil change) and scheduled with my regular mechanic shop. My mechanic let me know that the brakes are fine ("rated and 8"), the stabilizer is fine and NOT "cracked", but did think I should flush the brake system DUE TO THE MILEAGE - IT WAS NOT "LOW AND DIRTY"). The shop expressed their confusion as to why Waldorf Toyota would have stated what they did and made those recommendations. I'm not confused. It's clear that Waldorf Toyota was telling me and everyone else that to have additional, unnecessary work done on our vehicles to the tune of thousands of dollars. Stay away from this place if you can and do not take their word for what work you should get done. Want proof? She was friendly, not pushy at all, and gave us the space to explore, test drive multiple vehicles, and really figure out what worked best for our family. I have 2 words to convey to the assistant service manager Eric Krouse... "Dash Camera". Waldorf Toyota had my 2005 Tundra 4WD for 3 hours to diagnose an intermittent problem with the starter. The standard fee of $195 included a multi-point inspection. Now, lets review the dash camera that recorded for 3 hours while I sat in the waiting room... 2 guys who aren't certified mechanics open the hood for a total of 6 minutes while it sits in the check-in arrival bay. I can tell that they're not certified mechanics because neither of them have their name embroidered on their shirt. Then they move the truck to their parking lot inside the fenced area. After sitting in the parking lot for 1 hour, the mechanic, Matt Rawnsley walks over to the truck with only the keys in his hand, opens the hood for 4 minutes, then returns to the garage. The truck sits for another 2 hours, untouched, until an employee moves the truck to the side of the dealership and I'm informed that my truck is ready. When I'm escorted to the payment window, I'm informed that the $195 standard fee is now $229.10 and includes a $33.15 fee for "supplies". Huh, what supplies? I look at the multi-point inspection report that had 31 line items that included checking fluids for Engine Oil, Power Steering, Transmission, Differential, 4WD transfer case. All of these items require having at least 1 or 2 items in your hand, a tool or a shop rag. At no time did any of the people that opened the hood of the truck have a shop rag or paper towel with them. The item that really caught my eye was the "good" condition marked for the "Fuel tank cap gasket". I would like to know how they tested it when I had the key to the locking gas cap... I can only conclude that the reason Waldorf Toyota let the truck sit for 3 hours is to give me the impression that they used that time to do all of the multi-point inspections. The final diagnosis is that the truck starter is weak and needs replacement for an estimated $1468.33 I declined their estimate and decided to do the work myself, so I ordered the same part numbers from Ourisman Toyota of Richmond. When I gave Ourisman my VIN, they informed me that the part number was incorrect for my VIN because I had the Cold Weather package that has a different starter. Waldorf Toyota never looked up my VIN to determine the correct starter that was needed !!! read more

Always have a good car purchasing experience when we are shopping for a vehicle. However my experience with the service department is always a problem. I'll schedule a service appointment for routine maintenance intervals and I'll arrive early and always leave late. When you have a scheduled appointment I expect my vehicle to be serviced in a timely manner. An oil change doesn't take 2+ hours. If it wasn't included in the purchase price I would do it myself or take it anywhere else in the county. Additionally, they always come back with add on mx that is overpriced and clearly out to take advantage of those who aren't familiar with vehicle maintenance. Replacing a cabin and engine air filter should never cost over $100. That's a 5 min job and inexpensive parts. Highly recommend finding a different service department than here. read more

I wish I could give a 0 star review. This is the worst experience I've ever had buying anything in my entire life. I genuinely don't know how they stay in business treating people like this. If you don't have quotes, a second person, and a fucking tape recorder on you when you go in they will run you for every cent they can manage to get from you. When I purchased my vehicle from them I told them exactly what I wanted, and they chose to wait until the last minute to push a bunch of extra sales packages and extended warranties onto me in the middle of the night while I was half asleep. I'm already disabled, I didn't want the extra stuff because it would be difficult for me to even manage, I even told them as much. Didn't matter. I waited for hours in that room with no explanation, and didn't leave until night. Just to sign the sales agreement. They did it on purpose and have no shame about it. Now that it's been a while since I actually got the car it has become very apparent how much of a scam show this dealership is. When I did bring the car in for maintenance they told me any service plans I had were all expired (a lie) and tried to charge me for basic vehicle inspections that even the manufacturer's warranty would cover. The same service plans they forced on me they didn't even honor. I called the Sales manager, the General manager, everyone but the owner and they all stated that this is my fault for signing off on the documents and offered no acceptable fix. They do not care, they will swindle and rob you without flinching. If you have any desire to get a fair deal or feel safe purchasing something go ELSEWHERE. In October 2024, I had an appalling experience at Waldorf Toyota. I posted a detailed review on Google about my dissatisfaction with their service department, and in response, Service Manager Tammy Kuntz called to apologize. Despite this, I foolishly decided to give them another chance. On August 19, 2025, I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a 60k mile service check. I regret returning to Waldorf Toyota. I arrived at 7:30 AM and handed my car over to Service Associate/Manager Saeed Satterwhite. I provided Mr. Satterwhite with my phone number to be contacted once my car was ready, which he noted on the service sheet. I waited for six hours without hearing anything. At 1:42 PM, I called the dealership and was told, "Oh, your car is ready, and it's been ready for a while." The cashier then reviewed the notes on my car and explained that Mr. Satterwhite had sent the message to the wrong phone number -- an outdated landline that should have been updated in their records long ago. As if that wasn't enough, when my wife picked up the car, the discount coupon I provided was not applied to the bill. To make matters worse, the attendant left a strong odor of marijuana in my car. This level of incompetence is beyond unacceptable. The consistent failure to meet even the most basic service standards, along with blatant neglect for proper customer communication, has left me with no choice but to say: Never again. Upon my arrival, I brought my car to Waldorf Toyota because of an starter issue. After receiving the details of my diagnostic, I was informed there was an issue with my fuel pump. My service advisor also informed me of other issues ($4k worth of issues) with my vehicle that did not pertain to the reason I brought my car in. After he explained what the other issues were I immediately felt as if he was trying to up-sale my visit. In my previous experience, Wendy offered additional payment options, whereas, this experience Javier did not suggest other payment options. In other words, he lacked compassion and communication skills. Javier did not communicate rental car stipulations, and be did not adequately inform me of the process of getting a fuel pump repaired. Becauze of the lack of communication associated, once i got my car back - it was not returned to me in the condition i brought it in. Furthermore, when i expressed my concerns to them, I was met with laughter from the members of the team. Overall, My biggest concern is the amount of money paid for a service - is not equivalent for the poor customer service i received by the staff. Additionally, my car was returned with black grease stains on my cloth seats (see picture) Very unacceptable. In my experience, this establishment is not valuing their customer and customer vehicle. Also, the cashiers are very unprofessional. As a customer, most of my experiences have been sub par. The cashiers do not greet you. They are curt - with a brash tone. On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, I called the dealership to ask about an SUV I saw on their website and ended up speaking with Travin Gordon, a Sales and Leasing Consultant. From the very beginning, Travin was on point--he even reached out before my appointment to ask what my goals were for the visit so he could be ready. I really appreciated that thoughtful touch. I told him my goal was simple: to check out the vehicle and hopefully drive away in it--and that's exactly what happened! Car buying can be such a stressful process, but Travin made sure it wasn't. Everything was smooth and efficient from start to finish. At one point, Travin was double-booked, but that didn't slow things down. The Used Car Director, Sarron Anderson, jumped right in to help, and he was just as professional and courteous. Not once did I feel rushed, overwhelmed, or unsure. Both Travin and Sarron made me feel confident and completely comfortable throughout the whole process. Honestly, the entire staff--from what I saw between 5-7pm--was incredibly friendly and professional. There wasn't a single negative thing about the experience. Travin even made sure the car was spotless, inside and out, before handing over the keys. And two days later, he gave me a follow-up call just to check in and see how everything was going. I took my car in for a tire fix, they fix the tire tell me there's nothing wrong with anything else. A month later I take my car back and all of a sudden there's something else wrong related to that tire. How? And when I asked why it wasn't caught before? I was told "they don't know". This dealership is nothing but deceitful! I bought a vehicle from the used car dept. I went through financing and had been approved for financing, took the car off home. 30 days later, I get a call from Sarron Anderson Used Car Manager saying that they needed paperwork and then he said that I was now being financed by another bank. I knew something was wrong because it was time for my first payment and I didnt receive any notification from the bank that financed me with payment information. I asked him why let me drive a month and now saying that things changed, he just apologized for the inconvenience. No tags or titling was ever attempted. I asked the sales person Amya Douglas why would they contact me a month after being financed and driving the vehicle to would do this switcharoo, she said that temp tags were for temporary financing, Lies!! Temp tags are to legally drive while tags and titling are being processed. When I asked questions, I was told lie after lie. The deal went south, the dealer reclaimed the vehicle and kept my $2000.00 deposit and now will not take my calls. Beware! This place by vultures. I would stay away! Service department should retrain their staff. Second incident with my Camry occurred on Jan10th. Dropped my Camry off for a routine oil change the day prior to learn that a spark plug was leaking oil and they recommended repairing during the appt. I agreed and picked up the vehicle that evening. During the drive home the vehicle vibrated without stopping. I returned to Toyota the same day and the Supervisor told me they would look at my vehicle. I got a call around closing time to find out that they had a busier than normal day and could not get to my vehicle. Further the manager explained that his preference is for a specific mechanic that wasn't working that day to look at my vehicle because he is really passionate about his work. Huh? Aren't all Toyota mechanics passionate about their work and if that was the case why didn't you tell me that when I dropped the vehicle off. Anyway I got a call that the spark plug got wet and they were fixing it. My car was supposed to be a priority on Sat morning however I picked it up at closing time on Sat and my vehicle was the last one to be picked up. To add insult to injury, three months ago I bought a new set of tires at Toyota and had them mounted on my Camry. As I drove off the lot a tire went flat. I was stranded in the side of a busy road after paying close to $1,000. I called the service manager and they picked up my camry to repair. I received a call that the mechanic accidentally let dirt get into the air stem which deflated the tire. at this point the nice guy tactic is BS! The service manager needs to do his job and the mechanics need to be trained properly and supervised. Needless to say I received zero discount on the services rendered or on future visits. Horrible customer service!!! We came here a few months ago and simply wanted to look at the new Sequoia and price them. They had one that had just arrived but it was a pre order for another customer. It's ok we didn't want to drive it just look inside to see how roomy it was. Only the front doors unlocked and we really wanted to see the trunk room but the sales employee was too damn lazy telling us the Service Department had the keys and we are looking at him like ok are you gonna get them? Ok so then the employee tried his best to get us to put a deposit on a new truck and we are like wait you wont even let us see the trunk why would we put a deposit on? He proceeded to tell us they only got Orders in and it was rare to have one for us to just see. Ok whatever my biggest mistake was giving him my phone number. This guy starts calling me telling me he has a Highlander that would be perfect for my family. Needless to say I blocked this fool after his last call telling me the truck we saw fell through on the contract and he now could let us see the trunk. Like no man just no. We went to Prince Frederick Toyota and Jason went over and above on customer service. He explained everything and then some and let us see any and everything we wanted to. What's sad is the GM for Toyota in Waldorf was there and asked what they could do for us to purchase from them. We told him all we wanted to do was see the trunk. Not even he made the effort. I have never seen a sales dept. so willing to do right by their customers, and it starts at the top. Management sets the culture. I have wholeheartedly recommended them to friends already. Brian L our sales rep was great to work with. After the sale he agreed to order a binder to hold the car manuals (now optional apparently) and he Fedex'd it to us when it came in. As with most complex transactions, some things are bound to go wrong or be miscommunicated. But when we pointed out a contention, they didn't ignore us nor play the deny game. Brian got his manager Dustin involved and they made things right by owning the cost differential or by offering us other value-adds we cared about. Deets: they didn't like our trade-in after assuring us (unseen) that it wouldn't be a problem. But to make it right, they helped us get it to Carmax down the street and sell it, and agreed to adjust the Rav4 sale price to make up for the lost tax savings we were banking on by doing the trade-in. There were pkgs bundled on the car, couple small $300/$500 items. They knocked them off the price and left them installed on the car. Yay. Turned what felt like a forced upsell tactic into a value-add for us. Our lease paperwork felt kinda rushed and it was late. We didn't understand every nook n cranny. A few days AFTER the transaction, Dustin was still willing to answer my calls. I can't really say the dealership was at fault, I accepted the terms that night. But he offered a partial refund of the lease origination fee AND to pay for title xfer fees to get the title from my name to my wife's name once the lease was over. Yes, I received a refund after the deal was closed. I've never heard of that. Good on you. Might sound like we had nothing but problems, but really the experience was mostly positive. What's more important is that they cared to make the hiccups right. Oh one critique, they could certainly use a new coffee machine. read more

Waldorf Toyota accepted my trade-in sight unseen when I purchased a used car from them a couple of weeks ago. Since then, Waldorf Toyota's Tag and Title Dept has called me twice and left voicemails both times threatening that they would not submit my tag and title application if I did not bring in a check for the amount of my trade-in. A cash payment was never a part of our deal and is not in my contract. It is also Maryland law that they have to submit my tag and title paperwork within 30 days of delivery of the purchased car which in fact has been delivered. This legal requirement has nothing to do with the trade-in, so I do not appreciate the harassing voicemails. To clarify, less than 24 hours after I purchased my car, I did return to the office to discuss my financing options. However, I was dismissively told by Sarron, that "you're under contract," there was nothing he could do, and he literally kicked my family out of the building for no reason other than he didn't want to help us. Anyway, because they were not willing to work with us on our financing options, our contract remained the same. What an infuriating experience! Early one evening, I saw a used car on the dealer's website, reached out online for more info, and got a quick response from a sales associate who made an appointment with me for 10am the next morning. The next morning, the same sales associate called me in advance to confirm the appointment. I even spoke with her again, while driving there, to ask for directions. What could possibly go wrong? Wishful thinking. We got there and were escorted to the sales associate's cubicle. There, she proceeded to tell us that the car which we had arranged to see was not in their system! The sales associate went away to check on it and came back with the sales manager. He proceeded to tell me that the car was sold the evening before, adding that it's first-come, first-served in the sales business. Thanks for enlightening me! Came in for a new tire and an oil change but the associate attempted to scare me into $1400 worth of work. I bought my car here in 2014 and have been getting it serviced here since then yet my trust in their ability to have integrity and be honest has been broken. During my last visit the associate advised me to get over $1000 worth of sensors and get a payment plan for a 10 year old car. I did not. I came here versus going to Mr. Tire as the waiting area is more comfortable. Next time I'll just hang out in McDonald's and come out lighter financially using a trustworthy entity. read more

I am leaving the star rating the same, but after posting reviews and answering their survey, one of my reviews received a response telling me to come in and they would make it right No one offered this when my car was still at their shop and I complained.) Of course, I wasn't going to waste even more time and money there. I already had made an appointment with a neighborhood mechanic whom I trust up near my elderly mom's house in Alexandria, where I stay to care for her most days of the week. This neighborhood garage is going to replace all four tire inflation sensors for less than half the price of Waldorf Toyota, with no diagnostic fee, and will repair whatever is making the sound. When I took the car to them early this morning (the downside of this place is that they are so busy you have to wait about 2 weeks for an appointment), I told the mechanic how to reproduce the weird sound, and he asked if I could do it for him. He locked up the office and rode around the neighborhood with me for about 3 minutes. I made the sound happen 7 or 8 times. No diagnostic fee, especially not $200! From now on, I'll just wait for an appointment with this place instead of trying the dealership. I don't mind paying for work done, and expect the dealership to be more expensive than most places, but these exorbitant diagnostic fees are just cheating people. It should not cost money to drive around with the mechanic for five minutes or less. I stand by my original review. read more

I went to look at a used Prius. Not my thing. We tried to leave. They continued to show us trashy car after trashy car with interior damage they tried to conceal. One car literally had brown duct tape on the driver's side door to conceal that the actual fabric of the car was damaged/ missing. It's one thing to try to get away with selling absolute garbage cars but it's the savage overpricing for me. Nothing under $14,000 unless it was literally falling apart. I got my last Prius at Bill Page Toyota for $6,000 on the spot. Fully paid off. Perfect car. I miss it so much. RIP . The dealership manager literally chased us to our car as we were getting ready to leave begging us to check out more cars. Because I was desperate I settled on a Hyundai Tucson even though I was there for a small car with better gas mileage and the dealer knew that just didn't care. They told me it would be $18,900. After I got through with the Financing my total was over $40,000. At least it drove fine. For about two days. Then I noticed the brakes squealed every time I hit them. Something I'd never have noticed on a test drive in such a loud area. Then I realize the gas pedal gets stuck and sometimes the engine will just rev and then the car jumps forward which (do I even need to say it) IS F****NG TERRIFYING AND DANGEROUS! I call the dealer to tell them all this and all of a sudden all that "Bring it to any dealership near you and they'll fix it!" promotion goes out the window. They say I have to bring it the full hour drive back to them on a weekday and I can't bring it in before noon. So to get them to fix the janky ass car they sold me (I haven't even mentioned the stains and interior damage and stereo issues yet) I have to take a day off work and lose a whole day's pay. I forgot her name... Price: FANTASTICO! $0 today:))))) Waiting time: Super long. I stayed there almost 1 hour to figure out what's goin on and 1 hour to have it fixed. Waiting rooms: One has a tv, many chairs, and hot coffee and tea. The other has some magazines and tables. That is a quiet room. You can see how sales men work there. One was busy checking fb. Lol. I financed a 2020 Toyota Corolla with an excellent interest rate here. I was very pleased with the customer service and assistance during the sale. However 6 days after purchase my brand new car was shot while parked and was inoperable before I could even driving! Having issues with my primary insurance this was the most devastating thing that could've happened to me. I also still was on the hook for a down payment. It was quite the battle but John Cooper never gave up! He worked with me to alleviate some of the financial burden and I am forever appreciative of that.
