LaNeta R.

Made an appointment several weeks ago since my Jeep was having a stutter when I would be driving it. Spoke to several people ahead of time and was told that it could be a dirty fuel injector. Dropped my vehicle off at the appointment time. I was asked if I planned to wait. I asked if they had a shuttle service. I was told, Yes, however the shuttle is several hours away and would not be back until after noon time. It was 9:00 am. I waited a bit and asked how long did they think it would take to get to my car since I noticed an hour and half later it was still sitting in the same spot and they had acted as if me taking the shuttle would not be necessary since I had made an appointment and it may not take too long. 11:00 rolls around and the waiting room is packed. People complaining that they were here and the work did not get completed so they had to come back. I took the entire day off of work to make sure my car gets fixed due to my concern of having it just stall on me. I let Kenny know I was having someone pick me up and to please call when my car was completed. He said I was dealing w/Jarvis so he would be calling me. I had not heard anything by 4:00 so I called Jarvis. The call was a horrible call as he seemed infuriated when he answered. I asked about my Jeep after several minutes of me explaining my Jeep, etc. he said "we had not finished the work from the previous day, we will not be getting to your car today." I asked why I wouldn't have been told this when I was there at 9:00. He said I wasn't there to tell you. After going back and forth of explaining that I took an entire day off of work to get this completed. He said I don't know what to tell you, hopefully we get to it tomorrow. I told him I would expect a little better organization tomorrow and if I could get a call. He asked when would you like the call? Strange question to ask a customer. My response was- when you know what's wrong with it and can give me a diagnostic... The next day rolls around and I call at noon since I had not heard anything. Again, a complete run around on how they have not had any time. Jarvis would call me later. 4:00 came and he said "we drove it and cannot find anything wrong with it." Strange since it happens to both my husband and myself. Again, shuttle is in Baltimore and cannot give me a ride. Let him know I would not be able to get a ride there until later tonight and could he leave the keys with the dealership. He said "Sure and you will need to pay $149.95." They have had my car for two days, I have called more than 20 times to get updates, and now I am being charged and they say nothing is wrong. I arrive and pay. I get not even a block down the road and I have the same stutter. Basically they had my car for two days, extremely rude, I was charged for them to do nothing and the same problem it was taken to Jeep for still exist. This is ridiculous. I would steer clear of this place. Horrible customer service!!

TERRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT: My awful journey to this dealership began in November 2022 when I had to argue my point for my vehicle (2016 Jeep Renegade Latitude) to be seen. It took a month for them to repair my vehicle's transmission after I was first told it would complete within a week. Once it was completed approximately a week and a half later, my coolant notification alerted and my truck began to overheat. I had it towed the next day, and another argument almost ensued, saying it was something separate from the transmission and I would have to pay. Only to be told days later it was a mistake of theirs. Next, I went to get my vehicle back, and the electrical stuff on the steering wheel didn't work, so I left it there again. Days later, I was told my battery was low, and I needed a new one (I don't know how I was responsible for it when they drained the battery trying to fix it). I finally got my vehicle back yesterday, only to hear loud rattling noises from the cabin and lose pieces sliding under my hood as I made turns in the truck. Today, with my father as a witness, we found two tools under the vehicle hood. Of course, I was shocked, and I took pictures. But something is still wrong with my vehicle, and it doesn't sound very good. I have never in my lifetime received deplorable service at a dealership. My truck is destroyed, and my time is wasted. This place doesn't take time to repair cars, and all they care about properly is how much money they are going to charge you. To anyone reading this, find somewhere else!

Our new puppy. Thank you!

Bottom line, the service reps were great, the warranty was honored without question, a fair solution was offered for the unanticipated delay.

Two months later during a routine oil change, they told me it had to be flushed again. They showed me how dirty the coolant was, and I realized that was exactly how it looked before I took it to them the first time. Had the battery replaced. Less than a year later, it died. The local shop told me that is was the cheapest battery they had seen, with no markings to even help identify what brand it was. Meanwhile, the dealer advertises name brand batteries, which customers assume they are getting. Replaced the timing chain and then a month later told me the intake gasket was leaking and they would have to do the timing belt service again. Evidently, they did not notice it the first time. Ended up paying them twice. Had my rotors and pads replaced. Four months later, the rear pads were completely worn. Took the car to a local shop and they told me the front pads were replaced, but not the rear. They showed me the pads and explained that there was no possible way they could have worn to that degree in less and a thousand miles. Finally, and this is less important, but the service desk cashiers are some of the rudest I have encountered at a dealership. Hardly ever a hello or thank you, and at time they do not even acknowledge your presence. In short, I have owned my Honda for more than a decade and have always had it serviced it at Honda dealerships. That is part of the reason it had lasted so long without any issues. Unfortunately, after moving to this area, Honda of Waldorf is the only option. That said, I will NEVER take my car to them again. You have been warned.

I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and love my car but had a frustrating…read moreexperience with the finance department. I was initially offered a 9% interest rate despite having strong credit. When I refused it, I was told the rate could be lowered by adding approximately $5,000 in warranty packages (he called this "buying" down the rate). This brought the rate down to 6.4% but significantly increased the overall cost of my loan. I initially signed and left, but after reconsidering two days later, I requested the warranties be removed since the added cost outweighed the interest savings. Communication was inconsistent throughout the process. Most dealerships submit signed deals the next business day, but mine was not submitted. I didn't receive any updates until I followed up multiple times, and only after I asked to cancel the warranties did I receive a response. I was told this was due to the finance manager being sick; however, I would expect there to be processes in place to ensure deals are still submitted in a timely manner. I was then asked to sign new paperwork with a new higher rate, because the original deal had not been submitted and I no longer wanted the warranties. While I ultimately finalized the purchase at a different rate without the add-ons, the experience felt unnecessarily complicated and lacked transparency. The contract clearly states that warranties are optional, can be canceled at any time, and are not supposed to impact the APR, yet the financing process was presented as though the lower rate depended on keeping them. That said, I do want to highlight that Dwayne, the salesperson, was great to work with, very helpful and straightforward throughout the process. Fernando, the sales director, was also professional and supportive. I would recommend future buyers carefully review all financing terms, be cautious about add-ons being used to justify lower rates, and consider securing financing in advance before visiting the dealership.

Overall, my service was good, and they corrected a few issues. It was expensive, and it appears…read morethat some dealers and service companies in today's economy will utilize whatever means to get as much money as possible from you. I was upset because after leaving the parking lot, a part of my vehicle that should have been secured from the start fell apart, and if I hadn't done my research and spoken with management, it would have become a new repair job. As I previously stated, it came apart after less than a mile of leaving the parking lot The other concern is that the financing option should be more thoroughly stated up front. Yes, for certain people, it may be beneficial to avoid the excessive fees that these dealer services are imposing on their customers who want to use a credit card, and this is not just at this location.  Again, this may be a good thing for unforeseen car repairs expenses and if you have good credit, but customers should be aware that their debit card is required and that it will be deducted automatically from their checking account without their awareness once you are approved. Overall, your experience may vary, but that was my experience, and lots of things can be improved. This feedback is not because I am angry, at anyone there, but maybe to improve some areas, and put the customer back in focus. I only took one star off based on the overall experience.

I had to ask questions. When getting into the vehicle the dashboard said "low fuel" he said: "yeah we should be fine". I pulled out of the dealership, made a u-turn as soon as possible to head south towards the mall. At the light of Leonardtown and Berry Rd on Route 5 (intersection) the car runs out of gas. I was in the middle lane. I was honked at, traffic was stopped, people going around me. It was a traumatic experience and he just called the dealership saying: "yeah I think we ran out of gas" his tone was almost as it was funny. He was extremely nonchalant about the situation saying "we'll both have stories to tell later ". I was uncomfortable. It took someone 20 minutes to bring gas to put in the tank. Amer tried justifying the incident by saying that he got the car with the most fuel in it, when they deliver the new cars they don't have gas in it. We were so close to the dealership I contemplated getting out and walking across the busy highway back to my vehicle. After his coworker put 38 miles worth of gas in the vehicle, I did my test drive quickly but on the way back the low fuel notification popped back on and I needed to get back to the dealership immediately because I was not willing to repeat the traumatic experience. Upon returning to the dealership, NO ONE, NOT ONE person came to apologize about running out of gas in the middle of the highway, NO ONE attempted to even gain my business since I was in the market for a new vehicle. My father ended up calling Amer because he gave me his business card, and he (Amer) joked about the experience while my dad explained that I was put at risk. My advice: if you want to buy a new car from this dealership, don't. Or bring your own gas. I took my business elsewhere.
