Two incidents about an unprofessional, emotionally unstable pharmacist here. I went to this pharmacy 15 mins before close. There was a line. The staff made a cut off to serve that day and I'm within the cut off line. (1) When waiting in line, I saw that one customer a few spots in front of me complained to a white female pharmacist about an incorrectly filled prescription. The pharmacist refused to help him. When the customer said he would file complaint, this female pharmacist became very angry and ordered this customer to leave. (2) When it came to my turn, I asked for a refill. The staff looked around and said my insurance won't cover, they will only fill if I pay cash. Since my insurance has been paying for this med for a long time, I think something was not right. I asked if they could double check, or just give me a couple days med supply since mine ran out. Then the staff checked the system again and said my insurance actually would cover this med. Suddenly, the same white female pharmacist came out and shouted loudly at the rest of customers (only few of us left) that they are CLOSING. She stared at me angrily, with furious eyes. She abruptly refused to fill temporary med for me. She said she is the pharmacist manager and she is DONE! She shouted at us to leave. And said, if there is no pharmacist tomorrow and it will be all "yours" the customers' fault. The pharmacist then complained about her day and shouted at the rest of us. We were so shocked by her behavior. This pharmacist was rude and unhelpful, with little empathy for patients who had been waiting in line for her help. It is quite disturbing to see how customers/patients can trust filling life impacting medicine at this Walgreens with such unstable tempered, unempathetic, unprofessional pharmacist. read more

If you at all have the opportunity to avoid this absolute unit of a hell hole pharmacy, I'd highly recommend you find an alternative. For years I have suffered because of proximity to my house, but after once again waiting in their insanely slow moving pharmacy line, only so they they can start working on a prescription sent in ahead by the doctor hours ago, and then having to wait again in insane line to ask that the hell is taking so long past the quoted wait time, and then being asked to stand aside to wait some more, and then again entering the line to ask again....I'm done. You couldn't give crappier customer service if was the company's mission...and I've got a sick kid that is just hoping for his medicine before bedtime. Oh and now I learn they don't have enough to fill the whole prescription. So I get to come back to this cesspool tomorrow and deal with their nonsense again. I'd drive to Oregon to pick up my drugs before coming here one more time. I'd still get my kid his medicine quicker plus I'd get to listen to my own music while he waits. read more

I'm glad to have this branch close by but it could definitely be better. The employees are really friendly and I really appreciate them making effort to provide the best experience possible. However, there are some issues that need to be addressed. The pharmacy can be slow especially when you are being assisted inside of the store instead of the drive-through. The store is quite big, but they still don't seem to have a wide selection of items. The makeup section is definitely lacking. The checkout process is a little broken, as the queue system is confusing. I was also made to wait to be assisted with photos because the employee was helping people that came after me, even though there was another cashier open. I also wish they would remind you of your points! Another problem that I have encountered are damaged/dirty bottles of drink. I gave up on buying my usual iced tea because the bottles were always sticky! I will continue to come here as they are so conveniently located. read more

The worst pharmacy experience I have ever had. My first time filling a prescription, they LOST the paper prescription and took days to find it and fill. I brushed it off. The next one only took an extra day to fill than the promised "few hours". This last refill has taken FIVE DAYS to fill, even though it was promised next day. Lines are always long and customer service is poor. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

The staff here is strange. Most times I go in, they seem too awkward to be working. I was asked if I play video games by the male cashier last time. Out of nowhere, just asked if I play video games. I'm a friendly guy, I love conversation, but to outright ask what games I play, then to rant about your favorite games, shows how awkward this crew is. My girlfriend once got screamed at by the manager. He was looking another direction and screamed "Can I help you?", even though he was looking away. We then got attitude when we didn't honor his distracted look with a response. Judging by the other reviews here, service seems to be their weakest point. read more

***WARNING FOR LGBT PEOPLE*** I am a transgender woman and I am never misgendered... except by these folks! I hadn't been here in ages and I had to update my name/gender marker with the pharmacy - once they saw the old name, they proceeded to misgendering me during the remainder of our exchange! It was humiliating! Washington State consideres this harassment! (WAC 162-32-040) If you're any part of the LGBT community - BEWARE - these folks may very well harass or discriminate against you! Oh yeah - if that wasn't enough - it took them an hour to tell me that they are out of network with my insurance carrier! Super lame!!! read more

Terrible pharmacy, they have failed to fill prescriptions on multiple occasion and failed to contact my doctor to resolve issues as they claimed they would do. It is simply too much trouble fighting to get a perception filled. Despite the drive I will go back to the Bartells in my old neighborhood where I never had these issues with the same perceptions. read more

I love all walgreens because you can find everything as CVS but I think both are pricy. The cashiers are very nice. I can't say the same of this woman in the other side. She was kind of rude but after telling her that the cashier helped me with other concerns, she helped me too. read more

Employees in this store seems to be very unhappy working there, they are very impatient, very rude to customers. When i refund a online order which got paid by credit card, I was told I can only store credit back, I asked why - I want my money back not store credit. I was told this is what system said, "if you don't want to use credit in Walgreens in future, just throw it away". A lady nearby asked him, why you are so rude and screamed to your customers, he said he is going to quit the job. Fine, I hope he did quit and we can have someone more friendly and professional there. read more

Walgreens at NE 8th and 140th is actually getting dangerous for people depending on their pharmacy. It is pathetic. I had surgery, home mid afternoon, prescriptions call in there from my doctor. It's 3:30 pm and they won't answer the phone. I call the store's general number and am told the pharmacy people left at 3PM...I had zero pain medications and other important drugs. I was cut open a few hours before at Overlake Hospital. Last week a prescription was called in for me. Day's later I'm told they don't have it. THIS IS THE MOST DISGUSTING STORE AROUND. One of the worst pharmacy in the area - they are always understaffed, the prescriptions are never ready and you always have to wait 20 minutes (close to 40, but who is keeping count?). Today, after waiting for 20 minutes in the drive through I made it to the window only to see a sign say "Today Covid testing only". But, I suppose this is how they roll - don't care about people, don't care about their estimates on picking up prescription. I would highly recommend avoiding this location if possible. read more

Overall it was a good experience, expect when I checked out. The lady asked me if I would like the senior discount. Just wasn't in the mood to be reminded that I'm old. My opinion is this should be unsolicited as a discount. It's kinda like asking someone if they're pregnant and then finding out they're not. Was it good to get a discount? Yes. Not a fan of this Walgreens location due to the consistently rude staff (Pete R's last paragraph still applies 4 yrs later) but I was picking up an orders for relatives and they chose this store. Waited 30 min for them to find the packages due to their own incompetence in filing, endured invasive questioning about why I was picking up other people's packages (not that it's your business but they're OLD and not comfortable going out in a Pandemic), and got yelled out when I opened one of the packages. I told them relative said one of the items needed to be returned. When the manager saw that the item was under $1, she refused to return it due to the low amount and said "you should use it up yourself." That's a new one... just wanted to get out of there at that point, so I'll just let the relative deal with Walgreens customer support... and remind them to NEVER choose this location for pickups again. Oh and forget about using Walgreens coupons they email you on your phone. Manager says they won't take coupons on your phone. If I could give this 0 stars I would. This Walgreens is the worst pharmacy and store I've ever been to. My prescription was submitted almost two weeks ago and for the past week I've been trying to get it delivered to me because every time I'm in the store, the pharmacy is "closed for a lunch break" or has 8-10 people in line. I've had to call every two days the past week for information and they keep saying it'll arrive tomorrow and they sent it out. Now a week later, I've received nothing and no information about my prescriptions. One of which I was supposed to start two weeks ago and the other, a refill, I've now run out of. Thankfully, these are not life-threatening medications or this would be a much larger problem. I'm astounded that Walgreens would allow a store to operate like this. I've had my bad experiences many times in that location but this is my final straw. I've seen the reviews, clearly something is wrong here and it needs to be addressed. Do not come here, even if you have to drive an extra 10 or 15 minutes somewhere else, you'll be glad. read more

Awful service at the register. Completely backed up due to two inept employees. One was looking for photos of a customer and could not find it and the other one was on the phone for a long time. We left the products were going to buy at the register because there was no open register so we went to Bartells down the street and got the product we needed at a faster and cheaper price. read more

Pretty shitty customer service, and I think that's still being rather generous. I stopped in last week to buy some cold and flu medicine. The brand I wanted to buy had only 1 bottle left, and both seals were broken. I went to the Pharmacy desk and they called for customer service. I stood there, waiting, for 10 minutes. The pharmacy tech appeared to be the only one working on a Saturday morning, she had to ring the Customer service rep again. The same rep I watched walk past 5 minutes earlier and disappear into the back. When I gave her the bottle with both broken seals, she looked annoyed at me and asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted to inform her that the only bottle left on the floor has both the outer and inner seal broken. Pretty freaking abysmal that customer service doesn't care someone's tampered with their products on the floor. read more

The new location is nice, but still have to go tot the one further from my home since it's not 24 hour. The assistant manager is always nice and asks if I am finding everything ok. However when needing to special order an item they are not as easy to work with as other Walgreens. They just aren't experienced with it at this location comparatively to other Walgreens. It's not as busy as other Walgreens nearby yet but definitely always have a couple names ahead of you even during off peak hours. Far better wait time here than Fred Meyers however. I don't appreciate being upsold on candy every time I check out. I find it unprofessional and misplaced selling. I mean think about it. People are coming there for prescriptions, many of them on diabetes meds. Las thing we need is being pushed to buy a candy bar. read more

I placed an order for pick up at the store #10553. I went into the store and looked around to see if I wanted to purchase anything else before picking it up. I went to the photo center like how the email said to do. There was another customer (Disabled Indian) who Courtney/Connie was helping ( don't know her name). She was extremely nice to him that she gave him a free bag & a 25% discount on his order. I was the next one in line and as I was stepping forward, she called a Caucasian male on the other line to help. She clearly saw me but ignored me. Before calling me forward, she checked the other line and when she saw no one, she asked rudely how she can help me. I proceeded to tell her that I had an order pick up. She asked if it was an order pick up or a walgreens.com order. I told her that it was order pick up. She asked for my last name and an alternative person that the order would be on. She did not try to even look for it and said "it's not here, are you sure it was this store?" I answered with "yes, I can show you the order on my phone." She kept ignoring me and asked what I had ordered. I asked her "Do you really want me to tell you what I ordered? I can just show you on my phone." She ignored me once again and asked if it was a picture, I told her no that it was an order pick up. She then asked me one last time, "an order pick up or a walgreens.com order?". I told her order pick up. She then answered with "Well you should of told me In the beginning, when I asked you if it was order pick up or a walgreens.com order, you said it was a walgreens.com order" we kept going back and forth with me telling her that no, I had told her it was order pick up the whole time. She then started looking through the bags until she said "oh I found it!" she scanned it and then a coupon came out and she put in the bag. I looked inside the bag to make sure my order was correct and she said "there's no receipt inside." I told her I knew that. This whole time she was giving me attitude and I clearly felt discriminated by the way she acted and spoke to me. I am a Mexican-American women and felt horrible since it's the first time it has ever happened to me. I have shopped at Walgreens multiple times in different cities and this is the first time coming to this Walgreens and felt discriminated. I called the store wanting to speak to the manager about the incident. The cashier that answered said that he had just gone on lunch break. When I asked her when he would be back, she said she didn't know but that there was another Manager in the store that I could speak to. I was then transferred 5 times! One cashier told me that the managers name is Andrew and the pharmacy manager told me it was Angelo. I was calling to let him know that his cashier Courtney/Connie made me feel discriminated but he never answered the phone. I did the survey, wrote a yelp review and called corporate! I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else. But, I did all of it so no one else feels the way I did at this store! Never coming here again!!! read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreens is seriously subpar. They never contact me when my prescriptions are ready even though I remind them that I would like them to do so every time I go in. The pharmacy staff is rude and doesn't communicate well. If I had a closer pharmacy to where I live than this one I would 100% switch. read more

Typical PNW customer service. I've been a regular at this Walgreens for nearly three years now and have only put up with the staff here sheerly due to the location convenience. However, I will no longer ever step foot into this place again. The cashiers are incredibly rude, invasive and presumptive based on purchases being made. The sad part is, I think they think they are being friendly. Sometimes customers just want to be transactional and not have to explain the purchases they are making...everytime. Additionally, it'd be great to not ask to be carded for alcohol purchases after forcibly having up to 30 conversations over three years and knowing that the cashier knows who you are-and that you purchased alcohol many, many times previously. Then being confrontational about it when you think she's joking. Typical PNW passive aggressiveness that leaves this area with no reconcilable soul whatsoever. To the older (late 50s) gal that works at this Walgreens. We (including my wife) do not appreciate how you approach customer service. Consider going to back of house/stock. I went in to get some Christmas pictures that I had left behind the previous day. We couldn't find them! Zack, however, took the initiative and came over and asked for the name on the photos. The service at the photo counter was a joke today. Ordered 1 4x6 photo today. One. Stood around for 45 minutes and was never acknowledged by the photo lady. She proceeded to take 45 minutes to do a passport photo for someone that came in after me. When I asked if my print was ready, she told me it was still on the computer and that I needed to wait until she was done editing the photo of the person who came after me. I ended up walking out. 34 minutes standing in line with only two people in front of me to be helped before my turn. Slowest service I've ever seen and absolutely no concern for anyone. Once I finally got to the register, he messed up every possible thing . . . .one at a time, v e r r r r r ry s l o w l y. By the time he was done with me, I turned around to leave and there were 14 PEOPLE BEHIND ME WAITING. No joke. 14 people. At the speed he was crawling, that adds up to be over 2 hours wait for the poor mother with two kids way at the back on the line trying to get medicine for her baby. Totally unacceptable. Next time I'll go to the pharmacy in Bartell's, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Costco, Walmart, QFC, or fly to the pill factory in freakin Pakistan before I ever make the mistake of going here again. read more

This Walgreens is an absolute joke! The pharmacy staff work at a snail's pace. Anytime I need to just pick up a called in prescription I need to plan 30 mins of my day. A few times I waited for so long I ended up leaving without my meds due to frustration! My boyfriend and I went to this Walgreens to get a passport photo taken and the lady working there, Connie, was extremely unprofessional and rude. We were waiting by the photo counter, and she yelled at us to get in line. I tried to tell her that we were just waiting for someone to be available to take our photos, and she cut me off and yelled at us that there's only one line. We get in line, and she tells us that we have to go wait back where we were standing in the first place. Then when she came over to take our photos she started ranting about a bunch of random things like the government and then accused us of not liking old people and being rude, because we just wanted to get our pictures taken and not listen to her crazy rant. She then said "let's just get it out in the open, you don't like me". And we asked her if she could please just print out the photos so that we could get on with our day. She then continuously brought up that we don't like her, to the point where we had to tell her that she was making us very uncomfortable. She was absolutely crazy, and the most unprofessional person I have ever met. read more

We were very happy with the location and convenience of this Walgreens. It's a nice, clean, bright store, and we liked the pharmacy. Sometimes lines can be long, but overall, we were happy with it. We'd always been able to get prescriptions filled easily, but over the past several months they have not had the medication in stock to fill my son's prescription - one we've filled there every month since this store opened. On at least two occasions we attempted to fill the prescription multiple times over the span of a week before we gave up and went elsewhere. Because they are so conveniently located for us, we keep attempting to fill the prescription there first. Guess what, Walgreens? Bartells has been able to fill this prescription for us on the first try, every time, and I think they're going to earn our business permanently. read more

Broke in the new Walgreens while I was fighting multiple respiratory ailments; in my lethargic, feverish, exhausted condition, I came in looking for generic Ibuprofen and some cough suppressants, standard OTC stuff. The aisles are wide, and the whole store is brightly lit. The store does feature a few aisles for shelf stable groceries, along with a refrigerated goods. There is a pharmacy, but I never went to the counter to take a look as I didn't have a prescription to fill. It's pretty accessible considering how bad traffic can be during rush hour - making right turns from Bel-Red, NE 24th, or 156th Ave will get you into the parking lot. read more

Hell noooooo. This pharmacy took 30 times as long for the pickup line and the pharmacy reps were NOT customer service oriented.

I went into this location today looking for some nail supplies and when I went back to the section where they keep their press on nails it was a complete mess with nails being in the wrong location and tags not been correct. I picked up a few products I thought I had tried to match them with the tags as best as I could so I thought I had an idea of what the prices were but I wanted to double check when I went up to the cashier and I said could I do a price check on these just because back there it's kind of a mass. She proceeded to tell me that things are all over the place back there because they're redoing them but the tag should be correct and I told her that I didn't think that they were correct, so could we please price check these. She then told me that she only gets six price checks per shift and she's already had three I told her well then do you have a machine that I could price check these that because I didn't want her to ring them up and then have to cancel it out if I decided to not purchase it at that point. As I was finishing saying that she sighed loudly and rolled her eyes and started scanning the products mind you I had only brought four products up to her that I needed to price check and I bought three out of the four products. I will not come back to this location due to the hassle of getting a price check if they're going to have their aisles in disarray then they need to place a machine that we can check our own price is that if the cashier is going to give people a hard time about checking prices. And maybe Walgreens should look into not having a maximum on how many price checks could happen I've worked in retail for many years and I've never heard of such a thing. I was very nice to this cashier so I really didn't like the disrespect that she showed towards me and the hostility. This store needs a lot of help. read more

The pharmacists don't know what they are doing. I have never had problems filling a prescription with Walgreens even if I'm moving from place to place. But, here the pharmacists are so slow at what they do. It takes them over 10 minutes to figure out what to do and they always need to ask someone to answer a simple question. Worst customer service ever. Bought a variety of things and the people there wouldn't give my elderly mother change after the fact to break a 5 into ones for the bus. She spent 15 dollars used a 20 and wanted to break a 5. How atrocious! Will never shop there again. Will be complaining about this to their manager and cooperate read more

I tried to transfer my critical prescription but it was invalidated because I was a first time customer. A pharmacist offered to hold it for 72 hours until I could get my doctor to write a new prescription to their pharmacy. He did, within 24 hours of holding I went to pickup my order and found that the other pharmacists had sold it to someone else. I had to get my doctor to write a third prescription with an unconfirmed completion date or success. read more

Excellent customer service, I was surprised and very impressed! Once before, I'd had a pretty hard time getting Indian passport photos at another Walgreens because they weren't sure they could do photographs for anything other than a U.S. passport and additionally, they only gave me two copies for the $8. So when I needed to get photographs taken for my (Indian) passport renewal, I expected to have a hard time. When I mentioned I needed Indian passport photos at this location, however, the lady quickly confirmed that she could do them and barely glanced at the photo specs I had brought, saying that she was familiar with them already. Also, I was expecting to have to pay double the amount to get the number of copies I needed (5) but again she surprised me by saying that 4 was the default number and that an additional set of 4 would cost me just 99 cents! The waiting time for getting the prints was just about 15 minutes. The stellar service I got here really eased up the entire day! read more

Okay, since my last review, I've filled more prescriptions (b/c they held the one, and tried with another child) - since then, they've been very good. They're making sure the meds are there when we need a refill, and have been helpful in trying to find a substitute for an OTC med we could no longer get. So I'm sticking with them. The pharmacy is severely understaffed. Expect long lines and long wait times. The pharmacy used to be good, but it's gone downhill, probably to save money. They have an express pick-up counter which doesn't work. I've only seen it work once. I tried to use it one time and no one ever came to the window after waiting about 15 minutes. I then had to get in line with those who were dropping off prescriptions and wait about 30 more minutes just to pick up my regular prescription. read more

I'm not real happy with the Walgreens on NE 24th. This is the store on 156th & NE 24th in Bellevue. I was at this store on Sat August 31st 2013 between 6:40pm-7PM. I've been to this location before because its a little closer than Walgreens competitors which is up the way on 156th & NE 8th. A lady in front of me & her husband had a basket full of items that totaled close to 160.00 in purchase. Of course this couple obviously a rich couple (hint they weren't African American, Latino,Asian, or Native so you guess which ones) just took their sweet time with what they were doing. Now the clerk who is a nice lady for some reason did not call for back up which I feel that she should have done but did not until several minutes later when the line got real long. Not only that but the phone behind the counter had rung so the clerk answered the phone. Don't know why she answered it. Isn't that what the Manager is for? I had a bus to catch the last one that ran on the half hour which after that it would be one hour for the next bus. So this suburban couple continues to idle away the time like they're something special. After what seemed like an eternity all of the couples purchases were done. Then the lady has the clerk check the price on some miniature Starbucks coffee. Really? Lady, I'm sure that you could well afford it! And after that, the lady customer idles some more asking the clerk behind the counter about her accent. Really lady? Do you not see that there are customers who need to get the heck out of there while your silly butt is chatting up the clerk like you were out for coffee? To sum it up, I did miss that bus, then had to walk ALL THE WAY home from 156th & 24th to 170th & Northup rather than wait at the bus stop for an hour. I'm not happy. The Manager a not so nice guy who was probably taking a coffee break FINALLY came to help out the other clerk. Why is it that Managers are so useless. If it were me I would drop what I were doing & go help. Hey Manager its called TEAM WORK! Wow, I won't be coming back. I'll go to Bartells. Better service & they do care about the customer. I don't blame the nice clerk, but I do blame that Manager at Walgreens he needs to get additional help at least until 7PM. I mean isn't it worth it to schedule an extra clerk to work then to lose a good repeat customer? I guess not Walgreens. I'm not a Manager but as a former retail worker why not schedule someone until 7pm if its slow have the other person check the aisles, sweep the floor, or whatever. That's just my opinion.
