I wish I had read the reviews for this Walgreens before I tried to use them to get a COVID test for my international trip. You have to have a COVID test 72 hours before an international flight. I scheduled an appointment with Walgreens on Sept 5th and was counting on getting the results back in time for my Sept 8th flight as a buddy had done the same thing the month before and received results back in 48 hours. I started looking for results after 48 hours, I phoned Walgreens and was told by the apathetic worker there that it was out of their hands once the test was given as it was sent to a lab. And I had to reach out to the lab. Silly me. I thought Walgreens was responsible for administering the test and communicating the results when in reality, Walgreens sends COVID tests from California to a lab in Tennessee. The lab in Tennessee then sends the results to a company that posts the results online in a portal. Customer service for the portal is in Columbia, South America. Could they have put an even more convoluted process in place to save themselves a few bucks in labor? With all the labs in California, why in God's holy name is Walgreens sending urgent tests all the way to Tennessee using a non-urgent delivery service? I have absolutely nothing against Columbians and try to use my beginner's Spanish whenever I can but why am I struggling to understand the English of a Columbian about a COVID test that I took in Canoga Park? Phone calls back to the unhelpful person at the Walgreens pharmacy produced nothing but a standard speech about the test being sent to the lab where it is supposed to be completed in 24-48 hours. It was then that I was told that shipment to the lab could take up to 4 business days and I was given a tracking number. Did I mention that Sept 6th was Labor Day? Walgreens didn't. They didn't say that because of the holiday, shipments to the lab in Tennessee would probably be delayed. So the day before the flight, I phone my airline and tell them the problem. Fortunately, their customer service was far superior to the inferior service provided by Walgreens as the airline documented everything in my record and advised me to come to the airport anyway. We were hopeful that I would receive the results before the flight. On the day of the flight I went to LAX and waited for the results. They results did not come. I missed the flight and had to be rebooked. I then went to the COVID testing center at LAX and paid $150 for a 24 hour test. The negative results came in 5 hours later and I left on my trip as rescheduled. Today is Sept 15 and I still have not received my COVID test results from Walgreens. Lesson learned. I will not use Walgreens for anything other than purchasing gum ever again. They have lost me as a customer. The customer service there is horrific and the processes they use for COVID testing actually punish customers. Never again!!! read more

The people complaining about the wait time are not kidding. I'd pre-ordered some photos via the Internet and was just picking them up, stood at an empty photo counter for 15 minutes while I could hear the staff laughing and goofing off in the back. I finally whipped out my phone and called the store, just to ask whoever answered how long the wait currently was at the photo counter... I placed my order to be picked up here because it was convenient on my way home, however I'd rather take a 10 minute detour than stand around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to hand me an envelope with 3 photos in it that I could see from where I was standing... read more

Walked in with my 3 year old who really had to potty. Asked the guy at the front and was directed to the back of aisle 10. Got there and everything was locked up. Found another associate who told me I had to go back to the front to get a code. Guess who peed their pants? The IQ and forward thinking capabilities of their employees makes me worry for humans as a whole. read more

Don't even bother with this Walgreens! I've come into this Walgreens before to do FedEx returns a few months ago and came in to return an item I requested to return on the company's website. Upon arriving there was no one at the photo counter and no button to call anyone. A man in his 20s with blond dyed hair comes to help me and says I can't return the item because I don't have the packing slip on the box (mind you I have a QR code sent to my email that I've used before with other companies). He didn't even bother asking anyone if there was a way to do it, just told me to go to a FedEx. I left and went to Sherman Way Walgreens and THEY were ABLE to scan my QR code AND print out the label and packed it all up. I will say Walgreens is a bit messy, especially photos but at least Sherman Way was able to do it for me. This place has lost good employees sadly. Warning to all who return. read more

Went for my flu vaccine at my scheduled time and the pharmacy was closed as the staff had gone to lunch. When I approached staff they just told me to wait for a half hour...no understanding that accepting an appointment and not honoring it was completely wrong. read more

Dumbest pharmacy on the planet earth. They tried to charge me a huge co-pay today (my insurance has 0 co-pays) and my insurance company doesn't even know why. They initially told me that they couldn't take my insurance from another county in California(they could). I wonder how many people are paying for stuff they don't need here. UNBELIEVABLE... Walgreens is the only pharmacy that is currently offering the COVID-19 booster shot so I decided to bring in my elderly father who is immuno compromised. I called several times to make sure they have the Pfizer booster shot. They assured me they had the shot and walk-ins are welcome...they were far from welcoming. I waited 37 minutes just in line. Then upon finally speaking to a pharmacy tech he said "it's too late" mind you the time I spent in line and 57 minutes till closing. Then I as I asked why and he responded "come tomorrow" he said rudely. I said I will and then I asked to speak to the pharmacist a women ran over to the counter and said "we can't because I need to go home" I proceeded to ask for her name then she puffed out her chest and yelled "I'm Francesca the pharmacist". I was appalled at the behavior of these individuals, the lack of care and empathy for both their jobs and patients. MY FATHER WAS DENIED HIS COVID VACCINE. .This is pharmacist misconduct. I will be reaching out to Walgreens corporate and the California state board of pharmacy. Upon reading these other reviews I'm shocked how nothing is being done about this pharmacy. I worked at a photo lab for 8 years, so I say with authority that wallet pics cost so much because of the LABOR of thrice slicing each print (it's otherwise just a 39¢ paper & ink). Other Walgreens thus reduce wallets to that 4x6 price if you cut them yourself. This store's photo manager and store manager refused and insisted on the cost + labor mark-up price (even if I do the labor myself). They even insulted me by saying I couldn't handle a 5th grade safety-guarded paper slicer. Had they reasonably thought this through with logic, it would have reduced my bill by a mere $10. But now they're losing out on HUNDREDS of dollars while I take my future business elsewhere. read more

Don't even waste your time on Indeed filling out applications for a job here. After you do and follow up with a phone call first you have to navigate through the automated phone system for aproxamitly 20 minutes before you get a human. That then tells you his store is not hiring for any position at this time. Avoid Walgreens like the Plague. read more

Walgreens pharmacy policy on giving out prescription medication is extremely conservative. For everything they need to call the doctor to verify . I took it to CVS and no question asked, 15 min and I got the medication. Plus $5 cheaper. read more

My four stars are for the customer service I received today from vergie Came here to print birthday invitations I ordered from Etsy, the gentleman named vergie (spellcheck) who assisted me made my experience a breeze. He was very accommodating and his service was quick.. Old white lady who is a manager I believe is a little rude, she was actually the first person to help me at the photo service .. She insisted I would save money if I printed a higher quantity to save.. And I told her I wanted to see a sample of just one photo and she said with a rude tone well you know that's going to be $2.50 for just one .. Told her I didn't care that I will order more if the invitations came out nice. So glad I bumped into vergie instead. Another downside this place is dirty could need a little more cleaning. Oh and the pharmacy department is a joke just like what others said.. About a month ago I picked up medicine for my boyfriend and the pharmacists read the wrong prescription to me good thing I read the directions and called to confirm that the medicine I got was the right now. Pharmacist just laughed and did not apologize for her mistake, not sure if she was tired from work or whatever.. Always check for the best time to pick up prescriptions because the Pharmacy does not have the same hours of operation as the store.

Can someone please explain how this pharmacy gave me diabetic medication they have documented in their system as me not being able to take Dr. Reddy's manufacturer pill because it makes me sick and guess what they gave me. I call them on it, it takes me being on hold for over 15 minutes and I got an attitude from the Pharmacist who basically said she was not the manager and couldn't help me. So it will only make me sick to take what they gave me OR not take it and get sick. I have to wait until they can maybe fix it AFTER I am scheduled to take my next dose tomorrow morning. Poor service at the pharmacy. They don't care calling your insurance to verify. They just charge you at regular prescription price. When I gave my daughter's prescription, they told me come back after an hour. I went back, it wasn't even ready yet. So my wife picked it up instead. But when my wife asked them why it is so expensive, they can't even answer the question. They only said you should call your insurance. No effort at all. They wanted to brush off all the people coz they have no interest entertaining all our needs. I shouldn't have given them one star but I have no choice. And all the prescriptions in bags are being pushed and kicked down to the floor. Don't come here. If I were you I will look for another pharmacy other than this one. read more

This was once a very good pharmacy. Unfortunately, for the last six months, it has not been. They have messed up my prescriptions four times in six months, this last time giving me only half of the number of pills the prescription called for. Then they blamed my doctor for only authorizing the half dose and said I'd have to pay a second co-pay in two weeks to get the rest. It was a prescription refill, and my doctor said she had never been contacted about changing the prescription. I only hope they don't kill somebody by making a mistake in what they're labeling. I'm now adding another problem which I consider unforgivable. They switch drug manufacturers without telling you. On an antidepressant, no less. The results can be terrifying, as some of the generics affect people completely differently. I was in a hurry so I didn't check. Silly me; forgot where I was. Of course once you leave they won't do anything about it. Walk away from the pharmacy and you own the problem. I had to have my doctor write me another prescription and pay full price. They closed down the rite aid next to my house so I was forced to come here they were charging me $90 for medication I needed when it was $12 elsewhere, then recently I needed more medication for my eye and they where charging me $50 when my insurance paid for it. Honestly I recommend Walmart this place is a joke. At one point I paid the full amount because I needed my medication ASAP and it was the closest place to me and I was informed they overcharged me. I was treated very bad from Alejandro after I've wait about 7 min on the line and is was my turn to pay. My card didn't go true and I asked him to go outside and get other card or cash from my husband. When I walk in 30 sec after and after waiting for a lady who took he told me that I can't pay and I have to go behind 10 people and wait all over again. I've been sick, so my husband is picking up the prescriptions. I wish they were closer to Calabasas, where we live. Walgreens. Get it together. Half of the people there are perfectly lovely. The other half are angry and/or snooty, consistently. Very often they are out of items, particularly in the fridge and freezer section, but it's probably not their fault so much as their home office. Here is why I am bothering to write this. For the past few month, the shopping baskets have been DISGUSTING. It's everywhere. It's like at one point they were stacked up and Coke exploded on them, covering them in a brown, sticky substance. I have to hunt for useable ones. I've talked to managers on four different occasions (talked to one manager twice), and they said they would get right on it and clean it up. It's been months. Seriously?? Seriously. It's gross and makes a terrible impression. Otherwise a great place to grab something quick, but customer service is clearly not a priority. read more
