Walgreens. Get it together. Half of the people there are perfectly lovely. The other half are angry and/or snooty, consistently. Very often they are out of items, particularly in the fridge and freezer section, but it's probably not their fault so much as their home office. Here is why I am bothering to write this. For the past few month, the shopping baskets have been DISGUSTING. It's everywhere. It's like at one point they were stacked up and Coke exploded on them, covering them in a brown, sticky substance. I have to hunt for useable ones. I've talked to managers on four different occasions (talked to one manager twice), and they said they would get right on it and clean it up. It's been months. Seriously?? Seriously. It's gross and makes a terrible impression. Otherwise a great place to grab something quick, but customer service is clearly not a priority. read more

I would give a minus rating if possible. this is for the pharmacy. on 2 occasions recently, a prescription was sent in from a doctor. The pharmacy didn't have it, never contacted me that it would take a week. In one case, my husband just had emergency surgery, needed the meds and we had to beg the pharmacist to check another Walgreens. there is 0 service here. The Walgreens on Sherman Way is much, much better. read more

i researched closys oral health rince and it was a higher price then the website. i spoke to manager to ask if he could match that price, and he practicly laughed at me. i couldnt beleive the arrogance of that very young manager. i have been coming to walgreens for a very long time, but it was the first time i used this gross location. never again. read more

Your Pharmacy should not drive you crazy This one does. Over and over again I have trouble. They re-fill prescriptions they want to refill and the ones I need often don't get filled. When I call the doctor to renew they tell me they have already renewed it. I have been waiting for a week and a half on one prescription that I know they can called in. But Pharmacy can't find it. The same thing happened to my daughter that wanted a prescription fill from another state. She went in and wanted while they filled it for an hour and a half only to be told they didn't actually have it. There was way more to this story but I will not bore you with the full details. Always clean and well stocked. A lil higher prices than other places but very convenient.

Probably the most incompetent pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. It took over a week to have a simple prescription filled and they always have an excuse...the system is down, the system is having trouble talking with your insurance company, we Can't figure the copay on and on. I have no confidence in their professional abilities. If this is Walgreens now I need to go elsewhere as should you. And avoid the pharmacy manager Ms. Vi P. Pharmacists are idiots. Yesterday I watched the pharmacist tell the person in the drive thru they had to talk to a provider on the phone when she dealt with me. Straight up lied to his face. Then she told me she would help me which she did not. Finally I find out that they don't have my prescription in stock and will need to order. My other prescription they do have, but then they tell me they don't accept HealthNet and that I would have to pay for the med. What a worthless store, had my med been in stock on the first day I would have found out then that they didn't accept my health insurance. Now I'm going on two days without my antiobiotics and to make matters worse they wouldn't even give me one pill. That would have probably been outside of their evil-greedy-corporation policy. Apparently wasting my time for a day isn't worth 1 pill to them to keep me healthy. Throw me under a bus why don't you, Walgreens? read more

Horrible service especially from the pharmacist and her staff. I forgot her name but she looks angry and as if she haven't gotten laid ever since she graduated, or maybe she's just a miserable human being trying to make your day god awful. I don't care what her issue is but she tried her best effort to hold my medication back, and make me wait 2 more days.... really? By law I'm entitled to pick it up every 4 weeks 28 days and the day I picked up last time counts towards the 28 days. I just had a really bad seizure and wasn't about to put my life in her dumb illiterate ***. If I'm there to pick up and it's my right why would you wanna hold my medication back? Get laid, it'll solve your issues. In any case I called my doctor and they told her she better give me my medication and she was pissed, yeah *****, I'm gonna report you to the board of pharmacy once I get your name, you looked like you're Armenian or Persian with a angry face that gives me the creeps when I look at. Remember my advice, smile more often and your day might go a bit better. Now I go to a whole different pharmacy. Avoid this pharmacy at all cost especially if you have medication that if you miss a dose can give you a seizure or some life threatening illness, I bet she got through pharmacy school staying after class having discussions with her professors on her knees, who knows, seriously! read more

the photo printing at this place is a joke for some reason it takes hours to print a single order, I would definitely recommend calling ahead and making sure that they have your order prepared before you show up because they don't seem like they can handle much read more

Avoid Diana at the cash register she is a piece of work with a nasty attitude! Because of her I may never go there again!! Good one Walgreens Topanga. They are open late for the holidays, so that worked out well. It is holiday hell at walgreens right now. Talk about messy! The workers are not so very friendly and not so very nice, but 3 stars all goes to the nice girl that helped me at the photo department. Had some pics printed for Xmas and everything went smoothly. Walgreens is always convenient for whatever you need and I know some locations are 24hrs so who can ask for more then that? I would appreciate if they got some better employees though. read more

Extremely long wait time at the drive up window. I've never had a problem with staff but very frustrated at the long wait!

This review is only for the pharmacy. The pharmacists and technicians that work here are so rude. They talk amongst each other while 'helping' out customers. and I use the word help very loosely. When you ask a simple questions it's like they're going out of their way to help you out. Every time I go there I am never pleased with the service. And to be fair, all I'm doing is picking up prescriptions so it shouldn't be hard work to give me my prescription. Dislike this place. They didn't let me use coupons. My register rewards, or my points. They were so rude. They even hide the walgreens monthly savings. They don't have it in the front. If there's something Walgreens does is help the customers with good deals. This one manager and cashier nothing but haters.i was not buying 100 bottle of shampoo it was just 4 the normal for a household of 6. It's not the first time they do this. The Asian cashier and manager not good. Some of the employees at this location are great! The check-out people up front are awesome and the pharmacy techs are also cool people. Do not fill your prescriptions here though, the head pharmacist is a total Nazi. I have seen her deny so many people their prescriptions. I went in the store to buy medicine for my son. One of the staff member offered his assistance and walked me to the medicine I was looking for. I had been going to Walgreens in Canyon Country for many years and was very happy withthe service there. I moved into West Hills last year and I have to tell you this is the most poorly managed pharmacy I have ever seen. Prescriptions not filled on time, poor follow-up, just generally bad. I spoke too soon when I gave five stars. A past doctor notified me that they contacted him so I went in the very next day to update them on my current doctor. I went in yesterday to find out why a prescription wasn't refilled (a med. I have been taking since 1998,) they said the doctor didn't refill it. They still had not updated the doctor name. Mistakes happen, but I really felt like the clerk was angry with me! She was interrogating me about why I switched doctors and why I didn't refill my prescription sooner. I think their procedure is flawed (just between you and me :) because they can only change a doctor's name at the time of refill. This kind of seems Catch 22. read more

The only reason I'm giving two stars rather than one is because the save day pick up for picture orders is a really nice service the online store offers. However, the service is absolutely terrible. I'm currently still waiting at an empty desk for someone to arrive and hand me the pictures right behind the counter. I went up to the register and had the woman working there call someone to help me on the PA system. An employee walked out of the back room and right past me, and I've been standing here for about 20 minutes now. always come here in the morning for my milk for my protein shakes. nice mature lady at the cashier most of the time i come very well mannered nice lady always have pleasant small conversations with her. no complaints maybe the lines afternoon time who knows haven't been here in the afternoons. either way the few times i've seen the lines get a little heavy there usually on top of things. I order holiday cards online that were due by 4:30pm same day. I allowed for over 3 extra hours before picking up the cards. When I arrived, my order had someone else's prints in them. When the clerk located my prints, less than a third had been printed. What they said would take 15 more min, took over 30 min of sitting and waiting in the store. It seemed like the photo clerk was working every other area of the store. In the meantime, the machine stopped, not enough cards printed... The clerk himself was nice enough. However, this location really needs to focus more on delivering a product on time and setting proper expectations. read more
