I wish I could give a half star. Those girls were rude and had nasty looks on their faces the whole time I was there. While I waited 20 minutes, they ignored me for the first half of my visit there and didn't acknowledge me at all. Takes forever and isn't pleasant. I'll drive else where to avoid it. read more

I was at the post office around the corner and was told I could not mail my items without a printout of something they emailed me. The post office would not print the email off their website themselves. I walked to Walgreens and Jay offered to print it for me without hesitation. So thankful for Walgreens going above and beyond! I will continue to do business with Walgreens as they helped me out even on a day I was not buying anything. read more

I am a physician and I can say without hesitation that this is the worst Walgreen's pharmacy in the city of Chicago. I have always had a very good relationship with Walgreen's and know that the pharmacy department staff is knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. Unfortunately, the pharmacy at 641 N. Clark, is the exception to the rule. I am continuously amazed by the level of incompetence, lack of efficiency, and unpleasant demeanor of the pharmacy staff. A pharmacist there asked me what "strain" of a particular drug I wanted. Not only is this a completely inaccurate and inappropriate way to describe a drug, it makes me worried that the pharmacists have no idea what they are even putting in the bottles. Additionally, an unknowing patient might be offended if the pharmacist asked what "strain" of a drug he or she was picking up. This could easily lead the patient to think that disease or infection was involved. I am told and have experienced wait times over 30 minutes, despite not having many orders to fill. Lastly, I have experienced negative attitude from the pharmacists on several occasions. I am terribly disappointed in this pharmacy and encourage patients to go to one of the several other Walgreen's pharmacies in the surrounding area. Omar Sinno, M.D. read more

The pharmacist couldn't have cared less about her job if she tried. She seemed pained to even mumble hello when we walked up to the counter. We were the only customers at the pharmacy and she told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait to get a very commonly prescribed medication, & it took 45 minutes for her to fill it. While we were waiting another woman came to pick up her prescription & the pharmacist told her, "she was working on it." The customer looked at me & said, "She's been working on it for two days." When my prescription was finally ready she handed it to me without comment. I asked if there were any instructions I needed to follow & she told me they were written on the bottle. Now that's what I call caring medical assistance! You know what, if you hate your job that much, why don't you just quit or in the alternative, why are you not fired? This is a piss poor showing by Walgreens, good thing they're not the only pharmacy in town. read more

I strongly dislike this Walgreens pharmacy. It's conveniently close but I'd rather drive to a further one than wait in line here. No matter when you come there is always a wait. Nothing is ever ready when it's supposed to be and they are constantly screwing things up. Also, I understand they are busy, put slap a smile on your face and have some effing manners. I was there last night for about 45 mins and they had all these problems with my prescriptions and insurance and eventually realized they misread something. They are rude and slow. read more

This is the worst Walgreens on the planet. Even though I live nearby I plan on getting my prescriptions re-filled at a different location. They take forever and are just simply rude. You will definitely wait 20 minutes even if there is one person ahead of you. They also cannot count and I often get the wrong number of pills. read more

My physician's nurse couldn't get the pharmacy at this Walgreen's to answer the phone. I ended up at the store on Michigan Ave. near the Water Tower where the person was very helpful. I'll never use the Walgreen's on North Clark again. This has become a habit at this store. They don't seem to care about the customer which is not typical for a Walgreen's experience. read more

The manager here is beyond rude and unprofessional. I came back to exchange a product that did not work and he raised his voice and said we won't do it, its old. So what it doesn't work! I've filed a complaint with corporate, hopefully they will hire a manager that knows the customer is always right. read more

I just had my ninth and worst experience yet at this Walgreens. I stood in line behind an elderly woman who needed to refill a prescription for Synthroid. The surly woman behind the counter was so rude that I was certain I was being punk'd. The same girl went on to YELL at the man who made the mistake of driving through to refill his prescription. After 7 minutes, she helped me. I fought the urge to reprimand her or ask to see a manager, as I assume that person, too, HATES THEIR JOB and must treat employees and customers similarly. There was no relief at the check out counter where I made an ill-advised second purchase. I was "greeted" with an angry sigh and complete ineptitude as I explained four times WHICH box of Nicotine gum I needed. I left the store and embraced, warmly, the Time Out salesperson out front. He was the ONLY customer service I enjoyed at this location. I AM MOVING MY BUSINESS. read more
