I come to this Walgreens for the pharmacy services. Each time I've gone they have had my prescription ready timely. For me, all of the pharmacists on duty have kindly and patiently answered any questions about my prescription or pointed out any potential side effects or commonly known issues about the medication, etc. The pharmacy assistants also tend to be professional and courteous. I haven't had any problems at this location. In fact, there is a closer Walgreens pharmacy near my job but I always opt to go out of my way and come to this one instead. Sometimes there's a line but you can tell they make efforts to get the line down and people out of the door. read more

Awful, awful service. Had to call more than ten times because they hang up and disconnect you everytime, without even being able to speak to anyone. Medications are always delayed and incorrect, staff is kind but 0 help. Also their same day delivery for prescriptions is a scam- they will not be delivered to you day of and then they make picking them up in person difficult if you've put in a delivery request. This is the worstttttttt Walgreens in the city, in my personal experience! If you need help, medications quickly or anything else customer service related- GO ELSEWHERE read more

I was overcharged for items that were marked on sale, and after I had paid for them, I noticed the error and a huge bill for full priced items. It was a buy one, get two free offer. The cashier refused to refund the sale and to charge the proper amount. I brought him the tag that was stuck up on the shelf and that was also ignored. I asked for the manager. The manager also refused to void the sale after looking at the tag and putting it back up and would not give his name and walked away. I followed him around the store again asking him to void the sale but he ignored me. I went back to the cashier and asked him again to void the sale and he started to do it, but then the manager came over and told him not to do it. The cashier then ignored me and stood there with his eyes shut. I have never seen such rude or bizarre behavior at a store. You might want to avoid this Walgreen's. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy. They are severely understaffed for the volume of clientele they have being it's in such a busy part of the city. If you're expecting to pickup your prescription plan on waiting 2+ hours. There's multiple times I've showed up to grab my prescription in the morning and no one is even there! I had to wait an additional hour while they tried to scramble and bring over other pharmacists from other locations. Absolutely unacceptable and so frustrating. I will never use this Walgreens or pharmacy again. read more

The Good- The location is convenient and the pharmacy department is always friendly and helpful. If the presciption is not ready, they will prioritize it immediately which is nice so that there is minimal waiting time. Plus there are chairs to sit down while you wait. Yes you can get a flu shot for $40.00 and no appointment is needed-just show up and get it done on-site. The Bad- The machines to print the pictures are often not working correctly and I stopped going here. You have to pay for the prints first BEFORE they will print them-but when you pay and the machines do not work properly it is a hassle to get your money back. read more

This location and Walgreens are a clownshow. Three people working the registers and all of them where texting, snapchat-ing, tiktok-ing, whatsapp-ing, etc from their phone. All 3 staring at their phones while repeating the corporate data collection spiel about entering your phone number or email for discounts, coupons, blah blah blah. Your data is more valuable to Walgreens than the margin they make on selling you something !!! If a national drug store had a policy as follows: No data collection Our best price everyday No apps - No club # - No 3 foot receipts They would put Walgreens and CVS out of business in 1 year. read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreen's is broken. Staff are unhelpful at best and sometimes very rude. They cannot seem to fill prescriptions promptly, cannot provide accurate information about the status of a prescription, and often snap at you just for daring to ask. I've been cutting them slack because I know pharmacists have been under a lot of pressure due to Covid, but it has been over three years and they are still so rude!!! My insurance requires that I fill prescriptions at Walgreen's and this one is closest to me, but I now go out of my way to avoid it. read more

This Walgreens store has its own special thing. I've visited this specific location about 6 times now, and the automated announcement that says in unnecessarily high volume, "Help needed in the [Put cosmetics, beverages, whatever category here] department~" can be heard every 15 seconds or so. I think the announcement is triggered by a motion detector or something...It's pretty annoying, and the employees don't seem to care. That doesn't completely ruin my shopping experience, as I usually find my stuff with no problem. What saddened me was that they don't seem to sell alcohol as do other Walgreens. I hope the manager is aware of some of the things that happen here, such as children leaving products on the floor, the employees seemingly checked out all the time, and etc. This location is visited by many customers, and it's disappointing that they don't offer all that much here. read more

One star for this Walgreens is an insult to every one star drugstore. This pharmacy is leading the contest for the worst. Always new staff not trained on the systems. Terrible attitude. Understaffed. Poorly stocked. Poor communications. This store does more to support business development at CVS than anything CVS can do for itself. This location is possibly the worst walgreens I have ever been to - especially the pharmacy. The technicians have no customer service skills and there is always an issue every single time I go to pick up a prescription here. There is one technician specifically (I will find out her name and update it when I do). I have seen her roll her eyes at customers while I am in line waiting to pick up my prescription, she is never helpful, & goes above and beyond to make everything difficult. Even though this is the closest walgreens to my apartment, from now on I will be going out of my way to AVOID this place. I recommend going to a different pharmacy if you want to deal with pleasant employees and want an easy process of filling a prescription. read more

Slowest pharmacy I've been to. They typically only have one person staffing the busy after work hours and the line forms down the aisles. This wouldn't be terrible, but the staff is exceptionally incompetent. Average wait in line is 15-20 minutes. read more

After allowing me to stand for 15 minutes waiting while serving other customers, the pharmacists refused to fill a simple antibiotic prescription to address my eye infection "because we have families". If you close at 8:00 and I leave work to get there at 7:45 then guess what? You're still open. I have a family, too, AND an eye infection, and I left work early to get to you, you unsympathetic clock punchers. Management, if you're losing business, this kind of thing is why. I live across the street and I'll never be back. Shame because the cashiers are lovely people. read more

Horrible customer service in the pharmacy department. Literally have never, ever been to dealt with a more lazy, slow and unresponsive staff in my life especially in a pharmacy setting. The tall man with glasses behind the counter (Pharm Tech?) is so slow, dragging his feet. The head pharmacist of the day, Indian man (sorry but didn't get their names) literally hates his job and is another one who drags his feet. This is the dragging feet committee up in here. I'm legit so mad I feel like crying lol, I swear! Hold up! They legit laughing having a ball behind the counter now! I think this is a speakeasy or something. God save me. read more

Wow. At we are staying across the street at the Waldorf Astoria. Went down there at 9:58 PM to grab one item, and they already had the door locked. The guard just shook his head when I pulled up my phone ensuring the time was 958 and the store hours said open till 10 PM. When he unlocked the door to let another customer out, I pleaded that I just needed one item and he again just shook his head and said no. Absolute horrible customer service and would never visit the store again even if I lived across the street. read more

This is my local Walgreens so I go here all the time. It's definitely an expensive drug store (I feel like it's more expensive that Rite Aid or Walgreens in Lakeview). & there are always beggars outside of this location which can deter people from stopping by that aren't used to this. HOWEVER, yesterday, the cashier helped me in NOT only download the Walgreens app BUT ALSO clipping me some coupons that she knew existed on my purchase! It was so awesome to see someone take an extra 2 minutes for me to save some $$ that I decided to write a review :) read more

This store is never open at true store hours. I went one night at 8:30 when they close at 9 and when I arrived they were locking the doors. I went this morning at 7:15 when they open at 7 and they were not open. The only time they are truly open is in the middle of the day but you cannot trust the store hours online or on the door. read more

Beware: if you want to buy a curling iron, you'll have to combat the safety lock to get it off the shelf. It took me 15 minutes and 2 store-wide pages to finally get an employee to unlock the curling iron for me the other day. Um...really? read more

Very pleased that they offer fresh fruit right up front. It looked decently fresh too. I would have gotten some, but I was already migrating into the "DECADENT-DANGIT!-I've run 4 miles today and I'm eating a scrumptious salted caramel cupcake!" portion of my afternoon. So I bought some equally decadently named nail polish and went off to paint my nails with "truffled espresso" as well as some buttercream frosting (easy access to "More Cupcakes" on Delaware as well as the red line at Chicago.) read more

Quite possibly the WORST Walgreens pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I went there this afternoon to notify the pharmacy of a change in my insurance information. I also inquired about a new Rx for contact lenses (I used to order my contacts through Walgreens online and have records to prove this). The "gentleman" in charge (?) was beyond rude and didn't simply say, "We don't do that anymore", but had the actual nerve to impatiently and in a raised voice tell me "Walgreens has NEVER done that. You don't know what you're talking about." Unprofessional and rude beyond words - also completely unjustified. Who raised you? Wolves? We were staying at the Waldorf for the night and the customer service here has gotten worse. Attitude galore and I only asked for paper receipt. No we do not provide that - only digital. I was excuse me I need a paper receipt. The attitudes are not needed and very unfriendly. Walgreens corporate should be terminating these unfriendly associates - it's bad for the Walgreens brand and the tourists that visit here. Walgreens can do better. read more

Right across the street from the Waldorf Astoria. Perfect for our 2 night stay since we could drop by and grab waters, red bulls, band aids, etc. Basically anything we needed or may have forgotten for our trip. It really was a life saver when we wanted the random toiletry or drink. read more

Wow, look at you Walgreens. Bein' all fancy. This is one of the fancier Walgreens that I've been to. It has an entire fresh foods section in the middle of the store (grapes, yogurts, etc). It seems like a nice spot to pop in and out when refilling prescriptions, picking up beverages, and you know, just doing drug-store related stuff. A-OK. read more

A block from my old apartment, this Walgreens location was my go-to for prescriptions and miscellaneous impulse buys. Pharmacy staff seem efficient compared to other locations, and they are friendly enough to answer my questions. Front check-out staff are also pretty friendly, and the store recently redid their check-out lanes to include a number of self-check-out stations, which I love. I'd love these even more if they worked all the time, but sadly, they do not. Given its proximity to some touristy things, this shop also has a full aisle dedicated to post cards, Chicago shot glasses, and other crap geared towards tourists. Its just your typical Walgreens, but it serves a need in the neighborhood. read more

Say what you will about pricing in drugstores but nothing beats them for convenience. So hats off to my Walgreens on North State. They are always friendly and they always manage to have that item my family needs in a seasonal emergency. Yes, if I had more time and planned some of the family outings a little better I could save a few dollars sometimes. But they always have what we need. And a second set of kudos to their pharmacy. They are always prompt and friendly with all the family prescriptions. read more

Andrew is always rude and grumpy. What's the point of being a pharmacist if you hate to help people with their prescriptions? I've had one nice older lady check me out and was very patient with my insurance and getting me the best price. I've also had a younger woman check me out and she never knows what she is doing and I always end up paying way more. I will be finding a different pharmacy to use. read more

Arguably the worst Walgreens I've been to. I made an appointment ahead of time to get the TDAP vaccine. Not only were they running a half hour behind schedule, I had to tell the woman behind the counter three times that I wanted TDAP, not the flu shot. When the doctor finally came out to administer my shot, he confirmed I was getting the flu shot. I reminded him that I wanted TDAP, he left, came back with paperwork I had to fill out after I had been sitting for nearly 45 minutes at this point. I then continued to wait for another 25 minutes before I was even acknowledged. The staff is slow, unorganized and almost administered the wrong vaccine despite me saying MULTIPLE TIMES I did not want the flu shot today. Had the doctor not said something first, I wouldn't have known I received the shot. Do not go here. read more

This is by far the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. They are so unbelievably slow, it's actually painful to watch. I've been told that it will take them 25 minutes to put together my prescription when it was sent over from my doctor 45 minutes prior. & then I watch 4 of the pharmacists stand in the back and talk about their personal lives and putsy around. The girl told me they were taking care of inventory and that's why it would take 25 minutes for them to fill my prescription! Get it together, especially during winter/flu season when you have sick customers waiting on their medicine! & maybe have more than one person working the front counter when there's five of you working in the back and no drive thru to tend to ??? I don't know, maybe just a thought to consider! Save your time & Go to the CVS down the street. read more

Just an amazingly unprofessional experience just occurred. Feeling a bit under the weather I walked into a Walgreens pharmacy to purchase something to make me feel a wee bit better. 21 minutes prior to there closing, all 3 people I encountered either eluded to the time and/ or complained about being tired. What an amazing thought process to hear such things from them especially since I myself had just got off a shift and was about to spend some of my heard money. I literally took less then 120 seconds of their valuable on the clock time. I just wondered if that was how they felt when they were interviewing at the corner of "Healthy and Happinesses"?? read more

If you are in a hurry or want any semblance of customer service, do not come here. They apparently survive on convenient location alone. The employees do not even try to help you and the slow speed with which they check you out (as the line is about 10 people long) is astounding. As a worker in retail, I am always amazed. Save yourself the heartache and do not stop here if you can help it. read more
