I then went into the same store about 1 hour later to buy some analgesics. For whatever reason my debit card was not working. The woman at the register, DENISE, was kind enough to supply me with some ibuprofen from her personal supply. Again, a small gesture, but a meaningful one. I just wanted it noted that Denise deserves recognition for her thoughtfulness, and for her exquisite costumer service skills that she provided. When I asked about a pizza, I was told they weren't taking pizza orders until after 2 p.m. When I arrived to pick up my sandwich, another customer tried to order and was immediately told, "It's gonna take 30 minutes," before she could even say what she wanted. It felt like they were trying to discourage customers from ordering rather than providing good service. A little kindness and professionalism would have made all the difference.
