Actual walgreens store is good with a lot of options by way of inventory. Gets a 2 star because the pharmacy staff is incompetent. I prefer the Castro pharmacy (they are excellent and should be an example for all other walgreens pharmacies including this one). Check out Castro walgreens! At walgreens Daly City, the wait is ridiculous and the staff rude and uninformed. They do not read your doctors instructions and waste your time by questioning what is right their in front of their faces on the computer (I am speaking of Rx instructions). read more

Don't lie to me, you snotgarglers at the pharmacy, and apologize when you're wrong. Fine, it takes 10 minutes for the pharmacy guy to get to you in line A, and he's a trainee who types at 20 wpm. Fine, to get your thing you stand in line B for another 30 minutes. But maybe you should have taught trainee guy to get insurance info? So I go back to line A, and Asian guy says that since my phone number changed it'll be a few minutes, while they update my address. In what way does it add value to me to wait around so that you can spam me better? Or is this in case I take my vitamins and resell them on the street? But fine. "Do I have to wait in the line again?" "No," says Asian guy, "they'll call you, just go over there." Half an hour later, the entire line B that existed has gone by. No one at window B ever makes eye contact. There are no chairs. I go back to the Asian guy. "How about if I just give you the copay and you take it to them and bring back my thing?" "Oh, no, we can't take money!" Well your telepathic commands to the people at window B didn't get through, somehow, hombre, and maybe you've noticed that it's been ten times the amount of time you told me? No? You didn't notice that? Middle-eastern guy comes up to tell me that half an hour is just how it goes around here? Why, I appreciate your snitty explanation! I'm so glad that I had to get right up in your face to claw vitamins out from behind your counter, that made everyone's day better... And collapsing in fatigue to the floor wasn't working! If you are in need of critical medications don't rely on this 24-hour pharmacy when other Walgreens sites are closed. After being on hold for a long time to get my prescription transferred, they said they would have it ready for me. When I arrived, they say they are out and tell me the standard 'out of stock' spiel. When I tell them that I was told on the phone that it's in stock, they make me wait to check and tell me they never received a call. When I ask them for any help as I am experiencing medical issues from being out of meds, they show zero empathy. It's hard to rely on a place like this when your well-being depends on you. read more

My mentally ill son has insurance, and went to pick up his medications. There was confusion about the billing number, and they wouldn't call the number on his card to straighten it out. I called the insurance, and it was valid and easily accessible. I called Walgreens to pay for a partial refill until they verified coverage, and they wouldn't do it. They were utterly non-caring about the difficulty and trauma of my son getting off his medication. We will never go back there. This is my favorite Walgreens in Daly City BY FAR. The pharmaceutical department, although somewhat deliberate at times, is very friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about what they have in stock as well as the inventory of neighboring Walgreens stores as well. They are always on time with my order and sometimes get my order ready before the 10-15 minute mark. The store itself is very well kept, stocked and displayed. The clerks are very sincere in their interactions with the customers and often ask if any other devices are needed if them besides scanning and bagging your items. I live this place. My only qualm is that it is very popular so the lines can be exhausting during rush hour. read more

1 star for operating 24 hours. Didnt give 5 stars because employees are rude!!!! I purchased a skin care product under clearance. Decided to return just because. Lady tells me "No return on clearance item, its posted." I walk over to the sign, read it, didnt state anything in regards to no return on clearance item. Returned to the lady and told her "there is no such statement written. Receipt indicates, return and exchange given with accompany of receipt within 30 days. She calls over her mgr, he said the same thing to me but with attitude. So I threw him a bag of attitude too. I even pulled out the "i called corporate" deal. He then finally did as I requested. I was seriously going to throw a huge BF if he wasnt going to let me return this god damn item. There are no signs that say "no return on clearance". By far the worst pharmacy in the western U.S. The wait times are ridiculous and caused mostly by the incompetent workers who file the prescriptions in the bins. Nothing more infuriating than watch the minutes pass by while the only person behind the counter paws through bin after bin looking for a misplaced order. Despite have the exact same insurance for years, they never seem to process an order correctly necessitating extra waiting once you finally inch your way to the front of the line. I would never use this location, but my doctor accidentally called by rx into this store. Needless to say I'll be transferring it ASAP to CVS or some other first world pharmacy. read more

Once been treated with so much disrespect by the pharmacy manager "Judy", they mistakenly over charged me for prescription, rather then researching for me the reason why, she simply stated how much Iv saved through insurance already and belittled me by why I'm so concerns abt having to pay what ever they had over charged me for. I can't believe how disrespectful one of the cashiers (Asian woman) working in the beauty section treated us. She stared at us the moment we walked in thinking we were going to steal and continued to follow us around the store. She then physically put her hands on my friend and pushed her out of the way saying "excuse me" in the bitchiest voice I've ever heard. Then when my other friend accidentally dropped a $2 eyeshadow compact on the ground, the same Asian lady said "That costs money." Today I went to Walgreens to pick up my medicine. I had already paid for it at the pharmacy. I put my medicines in a Target bag and went out until one of the employers working at the front register confronted me and asked in a rude and unethical way, "Aren't you going to pay." Like I was a thief. I asked him, " Why do I need to pay if I already paid for it in the pharmacy, and generally if you haven't paid for an item, an alarm would go on." I would hope to see an improvement in one of your employers and hire someone who has a good ethic behavior towards customers. I'm truly disappointed, and they should think before they act before someone gets pissed. read more

Ok, so I went into the pharmacy on a Saturday night to pick a prescription. They didn't have enough of the pills I needed so I ended up paying for the entire prescription but only getting 3 of the 25 pills. I come back next Monday to pick up the rest (as they told me to do) and, after waiting in the line for 15 minutes, I get to the counter and they tell me they don't have my pills. I'm literally on a prescription where I need to take this pill everyday so I let them know and the people behind the counter basically tell me there's nothing they can do. I ask if I can pick up the pills at another walgreens and they tell me it's not possible because I paid for them here. They advise that they can get them tomorrow but I let them know I will be out of town and need them now. After waiting for 30 minutes they finally tell me they found them in a tote in the back but they've already transferred my prescription to another walgreens so I have to wait another 45 minutes till the de-process the transfer. At this point I'm done so I call another walgreens in Daly City and they tell me they have the pills and I end up going there and paying for the prescription again but not having to deal with the terrible service. While I was waiting I wasn't they only one frustrated by the fact that they didn't have my pills when they told me they would. There were many of us in the same boat. This is the worst customer service I've ever had, and being that this is a pharmacy where people's health I'd dependent on their service, this is really concerning. read more

The reason I love this Walgreens is because its 24 hours and you can show up at 3am and get what you need. The pharmacy being open at 3am is awesome and I really like their pharmacy staff. Recently I came in there with the wrong prescription card and they held my prescription for me and the next day I came back with the right one and got it right away, and the ladies from the night before recognized me...its the little things that make me happy, like remembering me as a returning customer. It's pretty big for a Walgreens too... HOWEVER, being that its in Westlake, be prepared that the parking is weird, crazy and stressful. Twice, I have almost hit people in the parking lot because mothers don't care to watch their kids and let them run like banshees behind moving cars. You've got a lot of traffic coming in there now since they changed the Westlake shopping center and opened that TJ Maxx next to Walgreens...still, I like coming here, and will continue to come here... read more

This is the worst pharmacy that exists around Daly City, starting with the bad customer service they give at the pharmacy......If I could give them a zero in review I would do it! For the horrible "CUSTOMER SERVICE" they give in this pharmacy I would give them.! Why, just like me, there are hundreds of clients complaining about dropping or picking up your prescription at this pharmacy. You have to wait more than two hours for your medications. And the women who serve the clients, besides being racist, are very inconsiderate, rude, and not at all friendly. I had never complained about all the horrible service they give in this pharmacy, but honestly, I already art of their bad behavior and their bad service ... I have always thought that it does not serve them anything that they have working 5 more people to Same time. When they spend it on gossip.! One of them is called TINA A. It was very grocers, unfriendly, racist and inconsiderate with me. I think so to that she's very tired to work there, because that's not right trade for people who are very sick.! I just had surgery and she did not want to give me my medications, for the simple fact that she was the first time I filled my medicines at this westlake pharmacy, but I had previously done it in San Pedro Rd Daly City. I have 5 more years to buy my medicines and have the same record of medicines here and Walgreen made me wait an hour, just to tell me that I could not give them to me, it makes me better to fire them or give them a better job training. Because many times we are sick to buy the medicines. And you're not giving the medicine for free! We are buying it! It's not for free They should train their employees better, and teach them to be more compassionate, and respectful to customers. The pharmacy department is so slow that it makes me want to a screech in a high pitched wail every time I come here. For instance, today I came for a Rx that was promised for Saturday (yesterday). I got an email that said that there was a problem with my insurance. No explanation and as far as I know there should be no problem. They promised to notify me when things were worked out. No word yet and since I was out doing errands I came in to ask about it. I have to wait in a line of 6 people with only one cashier working. Grrr... She confirms there is an insurance issue but can't fix it, Grrr... I have to wait in another line, (mercifully shorter). This person knows what the problem is; indeed apparently it's a beginning of the year thing. OK, so why did they wait until I come to ask. Makes me wonder how long this would have gone on.
