The most ghetto store you will find in the new and nice Westlake mall. The workers here are fresh off the boat. They hardly seem to know English - maybe that's why the pharmacy line is typically grueling. I've fallen back to my independent pharmacy for filling prescriptions. Walgreens sucks ass and they do it intentionally, all to save the almighty buck at the expense of your time, money, and health. I don't crave getting every generic medication from a third-world country either, which Walgreens is exemplary at doing. Support independent pharmacies - they exist and are way more convenient than dicking around with Walgreens or CVS pharmacies. read more

This is by far the best walgreens compared to the ones in San Francisco. It's clean, well organized, and open 24 hours. They have a pretty good cosmetics and food/grocery section. i went to pay for some ibuprofen and it came out to $4.86 and i pulled out some cash...it was a bunch of ones; they were new one dollar bills so some were stuck against each other. The customer service, including the manager on duty, was awful. I needed a document printed in a rush. I wanted to print it as a photo just to make it happen. The manager was rude and unhelpful. He sent us over to the photo department and called ahead to tell them not to help us. It was for my mentee's school work. I wouldn't even have cared if it was something they weren't able to do, but it was the attitude and rudeness that makes me never want to go back here. read more

This Walgreen is similar to others in the chain. I like this Westlake Daly City location because it is 24 hr and there is a parking lot in this mall. Tip: Avoid extra crowded parking lot and Walgreens during lunch hours 12-1pm and dinner/going home hours 4-7pm. Good time maybe late at night to get in and get out without long wait. read more

I only advantage about this pharmacy is that it's open 24 hours. This pharmacy has made many mistakes in filling prescription drugs for me. On a number of occasions, I was given the wrong medicine. In one experience, I was given the wrong kind of medicine and told the pharmacy tech that the name of the medicine is not the same medicine listed on the form that is stapled on the bag. She became very rude handling this situation. She made an inappropriate remark about me and told me to talk to the manager just to have the mistake taken care of. The other pharmacy techs as well as a pharmacy intern there have poor customer service and are rude to their customers. read more

omg..... So i called to get a stock and price check so i call. 1 lady transfers me to the health department, then the lady didnt know what i was talking about and transfered me t beauty. I asked for the product, "i dont know why she transfered you here its not part of cosmetics" i agreed and asked for the product she said ok hold on. I think she forgot about me because i got redirected as if i just made the phone call and got transfered from one department to the next. After i was at beauty again and she told me to hold on and again i was redirected to the begining menu as if i just made a call. this happened 2-3 times. Stop here on the way out of the city. Someone told me it was open 24 hours, so dropped in for some snacks. Cashiers here were SOOOOOO RUDE! I complained to the manager that was on duty and he basically told me, that he'd "talk" to them about it later. I could hear the two cashiers laughing at me. THE WORST WALGREENS EXPERIENCE EVER i love walgreens because they have a lot of stuff there. But one of the employees made this a very terrible place to shop. It was the Vietnamese lady in cosmetics. She yelled at me and accused me of opening and using a product which I did not and when trying to explain to her that it was already opened when i picked it up she just kept yelling. My car was towed after I went into store and left car there for only 55 min after bringing things to an elderly friend who lives across the street and I was getting list from her of supplies she needed and in the mean time my car was towed by them. I think someone in that store is running a tow racket, as it cost me $710 total!!!!!!!! Something was not right...very bad neighborhood. I even saw needles in the lot and when I went back later they're was a swat team there, maybe a shooting or something. Avoid at all cost! (Especially the $710 part!) Walgreens need to relocate this store, and fire the people who are allowing this. read more

It's nice to live near a humongous Walgreen's that is open 24/7. This is one of the places that make living in Daly City bearable. I also love the fact that they always have Arizona Green Tea Lemonade, and TGIF mozarella chips in stock. Aside from the 7-11 near my house this is my second favorite late night munchies stop. This Walgreen's has a ridiculous amount of random stuff, but is always missing something I need when all the other stuff is closed in Daly City. The parking is always a pain. The store personnel are friendly and very nice. But the pharmacy is a whole other story. There are often long waits to pick up your medication. Most of they will only have 1 person for a line of several people processing everything. They have literally on pharmacy on staff most of the time which makes the wait times even longer, and sometimes they will be in the back filling prescriptions even when they are needed to do the consult. The other issue with the pharmacy, they speak so loudly I know exactly what medication people are getting and all the gross side effects that come with it to. That's how loud the pharmacists speak. A absolutely no regard for HIPPA or privacy of the patient. read more

I always get my prescription here and many times it's been good but I recently I placed a prescription refill, never got a call that they ran out of stock. I found out about it when I got there, no explanations or apologies offered as to why I never got a call about the status. So, okay, then I called the next day and was informed that they still don't have it and naturally I asked if I can pick it up at another branch, the pharm tech said "Yes you can" and then click! For the love of all that is decent please open up more than one pharmacy register on weekends. And, I know it's great to let the lady behind me join her friend at the register and sneak her pick up in (I.e. cut in front of me) and then chat up a storm with her, but that does mean my tired baby fusses in the parking lot that much longer with dad before we can all get home. This is the King of Walgreens! The inside is huge, there's most every random nicknack you can fill your home with, snacks, drinks, recordable media, lawn chairs and fishing rods, coloring books, whatever you want, it's here. It's been open 24 hours a day as far as I can remember. The 24 hour pharmacy sounds good, too, but from the looks of the other reviews, I guess it really is a last resort option. Have not been inside this Walgreens in ages! Totally remodeled. This was my place to shop when I was in high school. Years later, it's still a decent place to shop. Parking is a bit difficult nowadays as the entire strip has been revamped but the changes are definitely good ones. read more

Paying for stuff is a joke! Not only are there not enough cashiers, but their are customers holding up the lines with their excessive coupons, returns, and complaints about prices. Plus Walgreens has a new rewards card that they keep offering to customers, and it takes forever to sign up for one (people seem to forget their phone numbers and where they live). it's about time that i do a review about this walgreens. cuz it is bomb.com. i've been a loyal customer for the almost 4 years that i've lived here. so i use the pharmacy here at LEAST twice a month, and they are GREAT. they are always quick to contact my doctor when i request a refill and i have no more refills remaining; i was able to purchase my clipper card at the camera department with no problem; they have all these things there that you wouldn't expect or be glad that they have (i.e. instant pancit canton, a mini water fountain there; my hair gel that even target doesn't carry); and the list goes on an on... but one of the best things is that it is open 24 hours, so i can go there n find me a snack or something to look at whenever. holla @ walgreens! read more

ZERO STARS if I could! Walgreens in Westlake is the WORST pharmacy experience I have ever had! Unbelievable! Three times in a row they process my prescription incorrectly. Each time they claim they fixed it, and tell me they will let me know when it is ready for pickup. Each time, after more than a week goes by, I have to call them, instead of them calling me, to check status. I then learn the order was never even placed for my prescription. THREE TIMES IN A ROW!!! Then they ask me to hold so they can "check on it," and I'm on hold for more than 5 minutes. Are you kidding me right now? NEVER. AGAIN. There are lots of other pharmacies around. Walgreens at Westlake should really do a much better job! I'll never use that pharmacy again and I'll let everyone I know about my horrible experience there. read more

I give one star for this pharmacy, because people are bullshit. We dropped off prescription and the pharmacy tech told us it needed one hour to prepare the prescription. After one hour, when we came back to pick up they told us it still not ready and need to wait for another half hour and there's no other customer was waiting. Not have a happy experience at this store, definitely will not get medication over there any more. read more
