Long line of people, up halfway through the store.

The pharmacy hours have since changed back but regardless of the the time, there are always long lines.

9:43 in the morning at Walgreens Daly City and again a full line!

Awful service, avoid this place at all costs. The pharmacy makes you wait two hours and then disconnects you.

Worst pharmacy. Long waits no matter what time you come whether it's 9am or 9pm, rude service. Do not pick up your prescriptions here.

She recommended a new product from Covergirl and even took the time to help me find the perfect shade. She also shared a few helpful makeup tips, which I really appreciated. As I was heading toward the other registers, she offered to ring me up at her own register so I wouldn't have to wait in line. Great service with a personal touch, thank you, Hazel!

Anyway, the pharmacy here is in an elite tier of absolute useless incompetence. Stand in line for 5 minutes and you'll undoubtedly see at least 1-2 people walking away from the counter empty handed and dumbfounded. Normally i'd by coy about this sort of thing but let's call a spade, a spade. What you're looking for is the pharmacist with the blue hair (big shock). Now while she has the education of a pharmacist, she has personally decided she's a doctor. You need to watch out for her, bc if she disagrees with your doctors opinion (the one with the actual MD) she will void your persciption and refuse to dispense it. Unfortunately this is what happens when you give a peanut of authority to people who were bullied and never received therapy. Which is all plainly obvious when you interact with her. I have watched (and personally experienced) dozens DOZENS of customers stand flabbergasted while she waxes poetic about her vast knowledge of pharmacology and how she can't dispense a medication until the doctor writes a prescription using the words of her choosing (that's no hyperbole I'm being dead serious). She has called an MD i see and made him (a doctor of 30 years) write the words that don't upset her fragile mind. One prescription I picked up from location 8 times when suddenly, it's verbiage perturbed her and she denied it until re written. Bur fret not walgreeens corporate! i've done your job for you! I have recorded in video and audio the last 3 times she's done it to me, as well as her refusal to provide me her name to file a complaint. Which uhhhh ohhhhh is against company policy :o But in case you don't like that idea, I've submitted everything to the California State Board of Pharmacy. Enjoy!

It has slightly improved over the years but is still not a pharmacy I would personally choose to fill prescriptions at if it wasn't due the limitations of our insurance. The drive-thru window is consistently not attended to and the service button to call someone is really useless as the employees take their sweet time coming to answer it. Parking and going inside is a shot in the dark because regardless of time or day, the pick-up line could be 10 people deep or empty. The employees are less rude than they used to be, at least the ones I've recently encountered, but they still don't go above and beyond to make your trip/experience there pleasant. I do also want to gripe about the mobile pick-up counter. Apparently, even if you order, checkout and pay in advance online, you can't use this counter and must stand in the regular line. What is the point of this counter and sign then? Do better, CVS Pharmacy.

They go out of their way to help a customer out with finding a product, utilizing any discounts available. The pharmacy staff is from another planet. Not sure why. Standoffish, not always helpful, at times rude, and don't think they understand customer service. CVS needs to rethink their training program for their pharmacy staff.

I miss when the pharmacy inside Target was actually owned and operated by Target…read more The difference was noticeable. Customer service was better, the staff seemed happier, and they actually recognized you by name. There was a level of familiarity and personal attention that seems to have disappeared since CVS took over. Now, the experience feels increasingly corporate and focused on cost and efficiency rather than the individual patient. Have you ever been taking the same medication for a while, only to suddenly notice that the pill has changed color, shape, or appearance? The active ingredient may still be the same, but the manufacturer may have changed, which also means the inactive ingredients can be different. For someone who is sensitive to medications, those seemingly minor changes can make a real difference in how your body responds. If you notice a problem, you can file a complaint and have it reviewed based on your individual circumstances, preferences, and sensitivity to the change in manufacturer. In some cases, CVS may be able to repurchase or obtain the medication from the manufacturer you were previously taking. That process requires you to know that option exists and to advocate for yourself. If you're trying to get a medication you previously took and know worked well for you, you may also have to contact customer service and go through the process of having them track down that specific product again. There is also something consumers should know about. For many medications, particularly topical medications, there is an NDC number printed on the box. That number identifies the specific medication and manufacturer and can be useful when trying to obtain the same product you previously used. In my experience, however, no one at the pharmacy volunteered this information or explained that it was an option. Maybe it's an oversight. Maybe it's simply one more thing that requires extra effort. Either way, the customer shouldn't have to figure it out on their own. And then there is the customer service itself. The employees I've encountered have been rude, dismissive, and at times downright condescending. I've had multiple interactions with the same employee who consistently made me feel as though my questions and concerns were an inconvenience. There is a noticeable lack of patience and willingness to help, and unfortunately, it isn't an isolated interaction. I understand that pharmacy employees work in a demanding environment, but that doesn't excuse treating customers poorly. Being overworked may explain frustration, but it doesn't make rudeness, dismissiveness, or condescension acceptable. My advice is simple: find a good independent, locally owned pharmacy and give them your business. Transferring your prescriptions is generally straightforward, and your primary care provider can send new prescriptions directly to the pharmacy you choose. That's what I did, and I have zero regrets. Consumers have more power than we sometimes realize. If a company consistently makes you feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer, you don't have to keep giving it your business. A pharmacy should be about more than filling prescriptions as cheaply and efficiently as possible. It should be about people, communication, consistency, and trust. Because at the end of the day, we're not buying widgets. We're trusting these businesses with something that directly affects our health. The consumer deserves better.

Situated in a corner spot of the Fairmont Center, there is plenty of parking in the shopping center's lot. This location of the American drugstore chain is also conveniently neighbours with other retailers such as Safeway and DOLLAR TREE as well as eateries like Bolare Trattoria & Restaurant and Guerrero's TAQUERIA 2. Inside, the venue is always brightly lit, fairly clean, and tidy. Service here has been stellar and is the reason why we return again and again. The pharmacy team is one of the best around. I called on October 8, 2024 to inquire about certain immunizations. Jackie/Jacquie (sp?) was extremely helpful, looking up if my insurance would cover a shot and ordering the vaccine to be in on time for my previously scheduled appointment to get done with my other vaccination. Ever since we started going here for COVID-19 boosters, this has been the place to get subsequent shots because Daniel Chang is #1 in my book - he is very informative, has a way of making you feel comfortable before getting injected, and is so gentle with the needle. We will make sure that we schedule all inoculation appointments with him. Yes, that's how awesome he is! Of course, following tradition after receiving shots, we treat ourselves to ice cream. Yay, Rite Aid has a Thrifty ICE CREAM counter!! Yes, they give free sample tastings and their scoops are still in cylinder shape, too! At our most recent visit on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Tebo served us our ice cream with a friendly smile. I think that we will go here more often.
