Ooof Tough Dies anyone like any pharmacy experience? I've had good and bad experiences at the dozens I've patronized. This pharmacy Never ever ever ever.... Will ever! Have your prescription ready the first visit. Show up and ask for it. They will find the fax or order in their piles if paper, computer work. It's I'll not be done. This will happen an even if you got Xbox auto text saying it's being processed. Ready in 40 minutes....no A person didn't send that. A computer did that received the order.... 1. Show up. Get told it's not ready. 2. Leave. 3. Come back later. Stand in line again. Get it. And 4. Go! I counted 9 kids and pharmacy workers busting their butts to satisfy the cranky. And occasionally yelling frustrated customers. They are seriously doing their best with the miscommunicative auto system and counter program they have. It isn't perfect by a long shot. Set your expectations to drive there twice. And you'll have a good day. It'd be five stars if it was a one drive experience. read more

On hold for over 20 min, each time they'd answer and either hang up or place us on hold. Finally after 30 min their phone system said they're experiencing technical problems. read more

I had a very frustrating experience at this pharmacy. I spent over a week trying to fill an inhaler that is covered by my insurance and should only have a $5 copay. I contacted my doctor, my insurance company, and even had an insurance representative call the pharmacy directly. Unfortunately, the staff member we spoke with was extremely rude and unwilling to work through the issue. Despite confirmation from my insurance, I was still charged $35. The lack of professionalism and customer service made an already stressful situation much worse. Patients shouldn't have to work this hard to receive medication they need. When my Insurance called to clarify, she told my insurance that's her problem not ours unwilling to work with patients or explain details and they're closed half the time and don't try to call. Ive been going to this Walgreens for many years here when im out visiting my properties. Im not going to blame all the staff for one rotten apple. The staff is always friendly and assists me when I can't find something. I dealt with a very rude and very unprofessional clerk named Ann. It seemed like something was on her mind and I get it. The drive-through was not busy I was next. The new guy at the window was great took my birthday. Verified me got my meds all of it and then he put it in the little red box so that immediately upon opening the package did not remain in the little red box for it to be retrieved, IT FELL TO THE DIRTY PARKING LOT! The box was in the way the red box so I had to wait a cycle for the teller to move the box up so I could open my door and pick up the medication! Window teller please be aware of how the package goes in the little red box that delivers my medication to my driver side window. read more

Just had my presentation changed to Walgreens. This is the second month in a row where they filled half of my Rxs and I had to come back later because they weren't "due." Five days later I am completely out of one Rx and have now missed three doses. My husband went back to pick them up today and they have no refills on file. The pharmacy from this Walgreens, some other employees are either answering my phone call then hanging up, even though I was waiting in line and I saw the whole thing how they will answer the call and hang up on me five minutes later when I asked, where was my prescription they say they don't have it at the moment they say it takes 20 minutes for them to have my medicine ready. They told me to come back an hour later to come and pick it up. I go pick it up then they tell me they don't have it in stock. I walked to my car when they stopped me and tell me they do have it in stock. I'm over here in pain and they're not taking their job seriously one of the employees of the pharmacy was just sitting there laughing like my pain is a joke to the.. Then when a product that I was buying didn't have a bar code all she said was "well I can't scan it if there's no bar code sweetie" like it was my fault the product was missing a bar code??? So I walked back to get a similar product for her to scan and apperently was taking too long because she made a comment to my sister, who was still waiting at the checkout stand, "come on lady" and rolled her eyes. I understand the DHS is not a well manicured area and is low income, but Walgreens should still teach their employees the basic customer service etiquette. read more

Walgreens in DHS has gone from bad to worse. I went in yesterday for some medicine & there was a line of approximately 8 people. No big deal, I'll wait. There were customers ringing for assistance at the beauty supply and at the photography section and the cashier kept yelling across the way "I'll be right with you, I'm the only one on the floor". Although it was not her fault because I think she did a great job keeping her composure while customers were giving her a hard time. Management needs to step up and make some major changes. How do you only have 1 employee on the floor??? I heard her say that everyone had called off & someone was at lunch. By far the worst business in Desert Hot Springs Ca When I moved here in 2017 I had my doctor send my prescriptions here. Despite multiple to direct my prescriptions elsewhere, my medical plan keeps sending it here. Not once in 7 1/2 years has this pharmacy completely filled my prescriptions. Always making minimum 2 trips. I've currently waiting 5 days for my Diabetes medicine ( Jardiance and Insulin pen. Absolutely ridiculous to only have a 5 day supply of Jardiance on hand inside a Brick and mortar pharmacy. During the pandemic I attempted on multiple occasions to use Western Union through this location but for 2 years the 2 Kiosk terminals were inoperable! This is a Billion $Dollar corporation run like a mom & pop country store in a 2nd world country! read more

Well, I have used Walgreens for a while and it has slowly gone downhill. Yesterday's was the straw that broke the camels back. My primary doctor called in a Rx at about 9:00 am. I got a voicemail at about 10:15 saying that they had to confirm the Rx with my primary doctor. I called the pharmacy and was told that the Rx would be ready in 90 minutes. I went to pickup the Rx 3 hours later, after waiting in line for about 30 minutes I was told it would be later that it would be ready. When I got upset and questioned what the hell was going on they said it would be ready in 5 minutes and it was. I will now start the process of moving all Rx to online pharmacy. Do yourself a favor and don't use Walgreens in Desert Hot Springs. read more

The Walgreens itself is fine--big selection, ample parking--but I feel terrible for the people working the front desk here. At 6pm on a weeknight, which is usually prime time for shopping, there was one person manning the front check-out area. There were literally twenty people in line, and she was doing the best she could, but it was pretty horrible for her. Apparently, she'd called for backup, but no one answered. A poor young mother was trying to use a coupon for diapers and needed to split her stuff into 2 different transactions and this old lady was so rude to her it made me uncomfortable. She was yelling at the young mother telling her she was backing up the line even though I was the only one in line and was in no rush. I've have seen the women treat people very badly on a few different visits it this time I was left upset she treated her so badly.
