My husband is a 74 year old pain management patient and heart patient and we have done business with them for 8 years. This month I put in the order as I regularly do. We received the phone call and an email saying his prescriptions were ready. I went down three times to pick up his prescriptions. We were told that they no longer release prescriptions 2 days early and that we had to wait a full 30 days to pick up his prescriptions. I ask why and was informed that the manager had decided. Then when I called back to clarify the issues, they told me that it was the pharmacist who made the decision because they were being threatened. I am fortunate because I have a car but if I had to take a bus or rely on someone driving me to the store, I might not be able to get his medications at all. None of these prescriptions were for opiods. read more

Since I've moved to the valley I've used CVS, Rite-Aide and Walgreens, Walgreens has the worst customer service of any pharmacy I've ever been too. Understaffed, long wait times and I tried to renew one drug over the phone and it was an ordeal, can't manage doing 8 or 9 drugs every month. I only wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

Whatever you do don't purchase any of their gift cards. I purchased a 200 dollar eBay gift card from them and when I went home to activate it it was already activated. I called the store manager and she was very rude and not helpful at all. So then I called eBay and after they checked it they told me that the card was duplicated by the store. The next day I called Walgreens again and the supervisor said that it was a non refund Policy. So I called their customer service and they basically said oh well. I showed all my proof that the store duplicated the card and still they refused to help me. Never ever will I shop there again. read more

This pharmacy is the worst I've ever dealt with not only do they not always have the meds we need but the don't keep the hours of operation as posted and alot of the times they ate closed for days. Hi, I just want to warn you not to get in the drive thru for the pharmacy after 1:15 pm. They take a lunch break break between 1:30 and 2, and if you get stuck in the line of cars between 1:15 and 1:30, you'll have to sit there until they come back for lunch at 2 pm. There are 5 cars ahead of me, so I won't get out of here until 2:20. I pulled in at 1:15. Also note, no one will warn you, nor are any signs posted. Long story short, make sure you get your prescriptions before 1 pm or after 2 pm. I've learned my lesson. I'm not complaining about their right to take lunch breaks. I'm concerned about the lack of signage and communication outside in the drive thru to warn people. read more

This pharmacy has to be the worst I have ever dealt with. They insisted that I needed a prior authorization for 6 pills of imitrex. I had prescription transferred to rite aide who had no problem filling it with no authorization needed. They called me at 630pm telling me a prescription was ready to be picked up so I went in to get it and they were closed. It was 7pm they were supposed to close at 9pm but didn't have the staff to stay open. Due to staffing issues it has become a regular habit for them to make their own hours of operation and not even open on some days. read more

They people they do have working in the pharmacy that have been here for the last couple years, are usually knowledgeable and do their jobs...they just never have enough staff on hand and the line takes forever. Absolutely ridiculous that they close their pharmacy in the middle of the day for a "lunch break". Stagger you're employees lunches so that you serve the needs of your customers. This pharmacy has the most inconvenient hours anyway. They close early in the day, which doesn't accommodate working families and their prescription needs. Walgreens should standardize their stores with consistent hours. Walgreens management, if you want to be competitive, staff your stores so that you don't have to inconvenience your customers. read more

The pharmacy staff at this location goes above and beyond for their customers. I came in to pick up a prescription and despite the long lines and high volume of customers being attended to, you could tell that the staff moved quickly and efficiently to make sure each customer was taken care of. The pharmacists are highly knowledgable (and highly attractive) and made sure to answer all of the questions I had about the medication I was picking up. The service was on point so it's no wonder it seems like everyone in the area comes to this pharmacy to get their medications. read more

Would give negative stars if could. I bought a heating pad 2 nights ago. Spent 50 bucks. Got it home and the pad is much too large for what I'm looking for, in the day inbetween the receipt sat on my kitchen counter, my wife had spilt our sons juice on the counter and there for the receipt, she then threw it away. The receipt was damaged but still readable and fortunatly the barcode ( you know the one they use to scan when doing a return) was completely spared and clean. I go in tonight try to return the item and the cashier calls in a manager on duty, this lesbian overweight black woman who instantly rude to me and refuses my receipt says cant use it. I tell her umm yeah you can, scan it the barcode is in perfect condition and she refuses again. Very nasty, rude right out of the gate, im pretty sure this is the same woman my mother had problems with here about a year ago with her rude behavior and unwillingness to do anything for a customer. I don't know why this woman is still working here, and I will be contacting corporate and see that something is done to this. As again I will never shop here again. And advise everyone else to save yourself the inconvenience and not to mention their inflated prices on everything. Like 3x as much than anywhere else. Pitiful read more

The front staff in Walgreens are really nice( retail). Unfortunately, the pharmacy (who you'd expect to be professional ) are probably the worst ever. They are soo rude and very uneducated. And i dont mean a college education. They speak to you like you are bothering them. I ended up going somewhere else.. I bought an item that was $11.84, I walked out to my car then right back into the store to return it because I can get the product cheaper elsewhere and because I didn't have one of their rewards cards they required my Personal ID information. I have bought things at MANY MANY different stores and returned them this is the FIRST time I have been asked for my personal information for an Item just because it was over $10.00. They kept arguing with me and refused to return my money unless I provided them with my personal information. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER WALGREENS NOR WILL I SUGGEST ANYONE ELSE GO TO ONE. This isn't the first problem I've had with Walgreens either, which is why I stopped getting my Prescription Medications there. read more

If you value your time and sanity, go to any other pharmacy. I moved to DHS almost 2 year ago and had always had my prescriptions handled at Walgreens - rarely any problems. At first, I thought the excessive wait times, the confusing policies, and the extreme understaffing was due to... wait for it...COVID! That's what I hear whenever service is terrible and picking up a prescription is an all afternoon affair. Want your medications to be consolidated so you only need 1 visit to the pharmacy per month. "Not possible," staff tells me (except at other pharmacies). But they also claim they are overworked and that it's our fault for needing so many medications! So why make customers come back to the pharmacy every 2 or 3 days thus making lines longer? Lack of qualified help? That didn't start with COVID. A pattern of terrible working conditions and better pay elsewhere is the culprit. Have you received 3-5 texts and emails a day saying your prescription is ready only to show up and be told no such prescription exists or they can't find it under the piles of prescriptions all over the floor and spilling off the shelves. All your prescriptions have auto-renew turned off so you don't have stockpiles of some meds and nothing for others? No worries, there appears to be no away to turn off auto-renewal even after you have clearer done so on the web site. When I ask about this, I get confused looks and then a shrug. Want to make a vaccine or booster appt? I tried for 4 months and the web site would never let me unless I claimed I was officially disabled. My doctor thought I was joking. Nope. When I asked at the pharmacy for help, I was told I had to go through the web site. Others have told me of being able to get appointments but then waiting 2-3 hours to actually get the shot. No matter how few prescriptions you are picking up, you should make sure you have at least 2 hours to kill waiting in line, being told there is no prescription, waiting for them to find the prescription in the piles all over the pharmacy floor, or being told your doctor has refused to refill the prescription when they simply never faxed him. I was even told that emails from the web site telling you a prescription is ready just don't work well and should be ignored until you have 5 or 6 text and voicemail notifications. I have 1 more pick up at the DHS Walgreens and then I'm done. If I'm not back in 5 hours, it's because I got stuck in line at the drive through when the pharmacist went to lunch and everything stops. I will say that this place is very good at gaslighting, making excuses, playing the victim (it's all COVID's fault!), and pretending they are doing their best. I feel sorry for the staff. They have that hollow-eyed look of indentured servitude. Stay away! A blackmarket stall at a flea market would do a better job. And it's all upper management. Cut cut cut to save costs, then blame COVID went everyone quits. read more

The pharmacy staff needs to be trained in customer service. I called the pharmacy to inquire about a friend picking up my prescription. I asked four questions, each answer I got was "We close at five". She was very rude, curt and a few other words that I can't use here. I just wish I had got her name. I've never had a problem with the pharmacy but I can say they are always busy expect to wait for medication... If they tell you an hour they mean the next day! Sometimes the next day means after 2! The front counter staff I love all except this one older lady with black hair, she is always to rude to myself and husband.. We have seen her ignore us when we say hello how are you and start friendly chatting with others that walk in.. Kmart pharmacy closed, and Walgreens is the pharmacy near by I chose. After several months of using Walgreens in desert hot springs, I have noticed how the staff in the pharmacy are consistently rude. They always make you wait and act put out and act too busy to help you when you come in or drive through the window. I am changing pharmacies and will not enter Walgreens again. They are not the only pharmacy in town and I will move to another pharmacy that wants my business and has good customer service. read more

I am not one to write these, but maybe this will do some good. In 2016 Walgreen's had a profit of 930 million, yet they cannot keep a consistent person in their photo lab that can handle things. I suspect low wages. I think today may have been my last time dealing with the problem of not being able to find me in the system. I have used this pharmacy multiple times, they lose scripts, put them in wrong, take weeks to order a script if they don't have it, and when I didnt have insurance they walked away from me and refused to allow me to pay for it. They change their hours on a whim and have no consideration for others by coming back from their "adjusted lunch" late without even an apology to the 5 people who were sitting there waiting for them. Would not recommend getting your meds filled here I had decided to switch up to dhs from cvs in cathedral city after living up here for three years. And worst mistake ever. I took meds to get switch cvs said it's simple take empty containers and the will call and refill. Yeah no didn't happen. Went one night and girl was was sweet didn't get her name and she said meds would be ready by morning which was fine I still had a few days left. Well when I went In the morning the lady was rude made us wait at drive thru and there was nobody inside and said it takes 24-48 hours for meds to be transferred I told her what I was told last night and she was rude and said well it's not ready bye. Instead of apologizing for there mistake. So I checked few days after and suprised not ready :( I was really frustrated as I was out of medication. Finally it took my husband to call manager and complain after that it was ready half an hour funny how things work and sad you have to complain and speak to a manager to get things done. Also I just picked meds up and girl was rude than ever and made us wait a long time to repeat her self over and over again when my card was already there and just waiting about thirty min at drive thru. Needless to say when she asked if I wanted a Walgreens card I said no I won't be coming back. To Von's we go hopefully I have a much better experience there. read more

The staff in the pharmacy are the worst! I filled a prescription there for my son, gave the ins and rx card and only got the ins card back. I searched every corner of my car (in their driveway, holding up other customers) the girl was so clueless and kept going on that she didn't steal it, which I didn't even accuse her of in the first place, I told her she must've misplaced it and is somewhere in the pharmacy. I spoke to the manager, some Asian guy, he was even more defensive and combative and couldn't care less. This place is ghetto ghetto GHETTO! Stay away! read more
